  1. My thought is that BOTH Nix and Whaley are diamonds. The future looks bright. But, of course, it's got to actually happen -- gotta get to the playoffs or it just doesn't matter.
  2. They already pre-voted him in the HOF 8 years ago, but the news has not yet been released until the required time passes.
  3. 2010 or 2011? Your subject line says 2011, your questions suggest 2010 because you say 2011 draft.
  4. Bingo. Defenses know exactly what Trent is going to do and stop it cold. When there's no deep passing attempts, that's what defenses will do. That was refreshing part about Fitz's play -- he wasn't afraid to sling it down the field. Not saying Fitz is our answer at QB here, just saying he opened up another dimension to the offense. And who knows, maybe our existing QBs can succeed in the new offense that will be installed and with new coaching.
  5. ... and when you convert your 3rd downs. That's the problem with Trent. He can check-down all day long for all I care, but he's got to move the chains and bottom line is he rarely did that.
  6. I have to agree. While QB is an issue -- and some would argue the most important issue -- it just isn't. We have serviceable quarterbacks, but we are severely depleted at LB and some other key positions and must address these in order to be competitive.
  7. Man, time flies. I didn't realize he's been around this long.
  8. Why only 2 seasons left? Does he have an expiration date stamped on his forehead? Why do you say this? He's still fairly young.
  9. Yeah, and most on this board probably would have bitched that he had no NFL HC experience.
  10. Agree -- so far this Maybin guy is a clown.

  12. If I'm not mistaken, the Bills Super Bowl years were all uncapped years -- proof that a small market team can play with the big guys in an uncapped market.
  13. I'm just glad to see Thurman's effort in the top-5.
  14. Hey, maybe the next Jim Kelly is on Buffalo's roster, after all!
  15. Hey, why not. Thurman Thomas wrote Super Bowl XXV on his practice shoes in training camp that year. Gotta dream. Gotta to at least think it's possible or why even show up.
  16. I have to agree. I think Urban Meyer is one of the best coaches around and I trust his judgment. If Meyer wanted him for his DC, then I then I have faith in Edwards.
  17. This makes no sense. "Florida" did not bail out on its recruits. A "Man" did and his name was George Edward. This does NOT reflect on Florida, which is one of the best run college football operations in existence from top-to-bottom.
  18. He was just hired by Florida on Jan. 8th 2010 (less than one month ago). He was with the Dolphins last year. Sloppy journalism by Clayton.
  19. TO made a nice TD catch (yes, it was a perfect throw) in the snow against the Colts. I don't think playing in the cold bothers him.
  20. Exactly! It was them taking out one of our top players that started all this. They TOOK control of us. Whatever response Ruff came up with fell way short. It's time to deliver a true payback and take control back.
  21. The Sabres had BETTER figure out Ottawa or their season is toast. They'd better hope some other team knocks them off in the playoffs before they have to play them. I like the Sabres, but I have to admit I'm very disappointed in tonight's loss. The Sabres not only had to beat this team, they need to beat them up! It's time to get nasty with this team and bring out the goons because they need to bring some ATTITUDE when they play this team.
  22. Lou Saban -- should be on the Wall.
  23. No, watch the game again. He got rattled in that game.
  24. If Andre had only done that against the Giants in SB XXV, he would already be in the Hall. But the Giant's defense rattled him. It's a shame, but it's not so much what a player does over his entire career, but often what he does in the BIG game. Plus he has a lot of good competition to get in the Hall -- many of them WR. It won't be easy. Yes, he DOES deserve to get in, but so do others. It will be tough I think for him to make it.
  25. It was AVP's 1st shot at OC and under ridiculous circumstances (firing of OC beginning of year, injuries). Give the guy a break! Yes, he was in over his head, but I will not be at all surprised if he re-surfaces as an OC 4 or 5 years down the road after he gains some more experience. One day, he WILL be a good OC somewhere in the future, but that time just was not now. It's best for both the Bills and AVP that he move on at this point in time.
