  1. And Cote D'Ivoire knocked out on a terrible call. !@#$ man these refs. No that was a terrible call.
  2. We played with the same approach against Costa Rica and started the game defending against Uruguay.
  3. I guess I'll continue cheering for Cote D'Ivoire (gervinho) and Belgium.
  4. Yeah but can they handle a Luis Suarez bite? I think not! Even if they got a draw, what kind of approach is this? In 2006 we played well defensively but yet still were able to score whenever we wanted to. But for me, the red card has to be one of the worst calls. I've never seen a player with the ball get a red card WTF
  5. I seriously disagree. Italy approached the game the wrong way. They approached the tournament the wrong way. They left the best Italian player at home (Totti) for unproven players who have never played in Europe let alone a top club. I love Buffon, Pirlo and De Rossi but it serves as a warning to Italian coaches to stop trying to out play your hand. You need a tie to win, try to score. At least in 2010 it was the WC hangover but this was !@#$ing embarrassing on so many levels. And Suarez should be banned from the World Cup but I won't hold my breath.
  6. The vine link at the end has the footage.
  7. What did you expect. He plays for Liverpool.
  8. It was a bite. https://twitter.com/RAWK_Meltdown RAWK Meltdown @RAWK_Meltdown · 20m (Suarez bites Chiellini) He didn't bite him...he attacked him with his teeth. RAWK Meltdown @RAWK_Meltdown · 26m (Suarez bites Chiellini) Strangely,I feel sorry for Suarez. RAWK Meltdown @RAWK_Meltdown · 56m Criticising Suarez for trying to bite someone is a bit like criticising Sinatra for singing My Way at his concerts. https://vine.co/v/MtJdrthpWrg
  9. That was a pathetic coaching/attacking performance by Italy. Seriously I'm glad they got knocked. !@#$ you prandelli.
  10. Go home you worthless pieces of ****.
  11. Piss poor forwards. A guy like Ciro Immobile scored 25 goals for Torino but has no big game experience. The midfield has looked good. Verratti has been class which is not surprising since he played all year at Paris SG.
  12. Come on mario wtf!
  13. Beware Ciro.
  14. I was totally zen until now. Forza Azzurri.
  15. Even when he throws someone out of the window, he does it with style
  16. I'm taking some time off depending on if/when Italy's knockout games are.
  17. Wow. Must be scary. Thank God she's ok!
  18. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and no OT was my solution but hey, what do i know?
  19. There are slight changes to the rules but my biggest fear is that it becomes "modernized". I like the sport the way it is. I hate the way the NHL has become (finishing games in shootouts, loser get's a point). The NFL does too many rule changes year after year. To give you an idea, passbacks to the goalie cannot be handled as they once were allowed to. Ties became less advantageous by making a win 3 points. Extra time was changed from golden goal to silver goal. Real diving will get you a booking.
  20. Never mind that to reduce this, they made wins 3 points vs ties 1 point to give an incentive to win over a tie.
  21. There's nothing wrong with criticism but I am a purist which is why I get irritated when I read certain comments.
  22. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2014/06/paul_ryan_yells_at_irs_commissioner_john_koskinen_the_hypocrisy_angers_most.html
  23. I don't think anyone will play for the biscotto.
  24. Yes that's true. If one thing that has been Roma's downfall is putting up a masterful performance against the top clubs and then not being able to beat teams that park the bus. What scares me is how off Chiellini has looked. Now that De Rossi is officially ruled out against Uruguay, it will be even tougher to contain Suarez and the Matador. Good luck against Portugal. If anything, USA advancing will keep this thread alive
