Paywall, but what's with this team and undersized linebackers? Maybe they convert Hardy next? -

LB is a stretch. Cine is 25 years old, 6'2" 200lb, ran a sub-4.4. Won national championship in Georgia. Former 1st round pick of the Minnesota Vikings. There's a thread floated with more info, but this is an intriguing call-up because the one real missing element in the Bills defensive backfield is guys who can flat-out run. -
Knox is Josh's BFF, he's going nowhere. McGovern at C is different than Morse. Morse was often the weak point in pass pro being light in the ass, but was devastating as a pulling center in run scheming. The line is more powerful in the middle with McG, Edwards and 2nd-half-of-season Torrence. Anderson is an interior piece in waiting, not a tackle. He'll play 10 years in the league at G/C. I remember losing my **** on cutdown day '23 when I saw Anderson waived, and then caught that it was Zane Anderson, not Alec. BTW Zane wouldn't be a bad piece to have... big play to force the big-balls 4th down conversion last night. How many of Beane's late lates/UDFAs are still kicking around the league? Nick Broeker, Alex Austin, Jack Anderson, Dane Jackson, Hodgins, Ray-Ray... Araiza... Teller... looking at the draft history it's really something.

Welcome back Sheriff Micah!

It has. I was adamant that his game management caused the inexplicable rash of close heartbreaking losses leading to that 6-6 last year. He's very much improved in that regard this year, except that one challenge.

I thought it was Funk they were thinking about.

And while I wish him well in his gastrointestinal endeavors I have no desire for more information about Bill's #2.

Dec. 3, 2017 - NE @ Buffalo - Gronk’s Dirty Hit
Ralonzo replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gronk's move wasn't a football play, it was breaking a bottle over the back of someone's head at a bar. Al-Shabab was more like using knucks in a fight on a guy who already tapped, also a scumbag move but tangentially within the framework of the event. -
Anderson's distant future is at C, it's been his best position in my viewings. He's a hoss in there. He got abused at T by speed guys in his protection reps there. Grable looked good at T in preseason, and honestly Van Demark is a better LT than RT but the game he played for Brown at RT he was still a plus. Beane/Kromer have a type of athlete they prefer at T, Brown and Grable and Van Demark are that. Dawkins is just Dawkins. Anderson I view strictly as IOL or jumbo TE similar to Edwards.

OT: what did you think of the hit on Lawrence?
Ralonzo replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude used the arm with the elbow brace to hit a sliding QB in the face as hard as possible. Not a lot of gray area there. As dirty as Gronk on Tre.- 206 replies

McDermott’s Post Game speech deserves its own thread

Levy used to say "you know why Hitler lost the war? Because he couldn't win on the road!" When McDermott tried something like that he got eviscerated by the media. Media go away.- 83 replies

I will defer to Cover-1 on the all-22 look but it seemed on my viewing the Bills priority was to bracket Kittle and force them to go to another option, which was viable when they had McCaffrey and wasn't after. Teams have done that to Kincaid, and even the Bills have done that against Kelce. Kittle's stats dictated he was problem #1 and therefore required solution #1. -

It wasn't even the arm flick... it was Allen taking velocity off the ball knowing he wasn't trying to to bury it into Hollins' chest, but laying it back away from the defender where Hollins could go pluck it and throwing (God help me for saying this) a catchable ball. -

This kind of reminded me of one of the most insightful posts I've ever seen on an opposing forum, but this forum was finheaven. It actually kinda predicts everything we're seeing now, back in September.- 396 replies

Does anyone have an angle on what "That'll get you through surgery" is supposed to mean? Morphine will do it too. -

12/1/2024 Bills vs. 49’ers post game thread
Ralonzo replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gonna be redundant again and repeat myself before national media either picks up my stuff or independently comes to the same realization: The reason Josh Allen is the MVP this year, is because this is the year his head caught up to his arm and legs. Evidence: the last 2 plays of the Bills last drive of the first half. 1) 2nd and goal from the 7, 0:53 left in 2nd. Flat pass called to Davidson. Fred Warner recognizes the pattern and undercuts the route. Josh does NOT force the ball, he pulls it back, rolls right, buys as much time as he can, and airmails the ball. Bringing up 3rd and 7. 2) 3rd and goal from the 7, 0:47 left in 2nd. The route combo has splits, with Hollins wide right and Niners playing 3-over-2 that side. On the snap, the slot breaks in and the safety influences with him, leaving Hollins 1-on-1, and he stacks Ward for a comeback. Allen places the ball behind, back shoulder away from the DB leverage for the TD. Both of those plays were winning with the brain, not with the arm or legs or giant cantaloupes. This is what Allen is now, a complete, high-tier NFL QB who can beat you with any of the previous 4 mentioned things at any given time. IOW, an MVP.- 396 replies

Shanny bends the knee and will take 3 TO's home with him that he can trade with Matt Eberflus.
