A few points: - There are 25 stores around the country. This one will be bigger than 23 of them. The store in Auburn is probably 1/3 the size of the proposed store for the aud. - There is a real risk of becoming oversaturated, if there are 25 now there will probably 40 by the time the one in Buffalo opens up. - People aren't going to go on vacation to Buffalo just because of the store, but they may take a night from their trip to Niagara Falls and come to Buffalo. That is better than what happens now. - Also consider people like fishermen from Cleveland who might take a 2 hour trip to Buffalo, spend a day or two fishing on the lake and 1/2 a day or so at the store. It will defintely attract people like that. Maybe Maple Leafs fans would spend the night after a toronto game at HSBC so they can get up and shop at Bass Pro.... - Think of the "thanksgiving" scenario - ie, a bunch of family and friends are back in town and looking for something to do for a day. Not a lot of options right now, wait till you see the people at Bass pro, it will be a nightmare (which is a good thing). - What they need to do next is use Bass Pro to begin to develop the waterfront. We have an incredible body of water and the only thing that has been done with it is a pier that is a pain to get to, a nice small boat harbor and restaurant that is no longer in business. If they can get a few restaurants, a few shops and then build something rational like a $*%& beach it will help. It is a natural destination but nothing has been done. - At the end of the day this alone won't change things, but it is a nice step forward. Unfortunately the local politicians have a long history......

Don't get me started on my dimmer sales pitch cincy - you'll regret it. "how much do you spend on your family room? - $800 for a couch, $1000 for carpeting, furniture for a few thousands dollars....and what do you do for lighting control? A $.29 light switch that has been around for 90 years? How many choices does that give you - on and off? Would you ever buy a stereo with no volume control?........."

As long as it's not a 3 way dimmer, hook it up exactly like the switch was hooked up. the white wires inside the box are most likely the neutrals, which you don't need. now the funny part about this is how excited I got when I read the title of the post -my first job out of college was with a dimming company. Great company, great products but not where I wanted to spend my career. I have dimmers everywhere, and my wife makes fun of me cause I talk way too much about them (like I'm doing now). one last word - put a dimmer in your bathroom, best $14 you can spend. trust me.

That's a classic, BF - keep them coming. Whenever I'm trying to hurt someone, one of the first things I think of is usually "is there a plastic cup of beer nearby that I can throw at this guy underhanded?"

I vote a strong mandalay on this one. You go to hard rock for one reason - the pool, which is filled with ridiculously hot women but is closed from november - march or april. You can also gamble at the pool there and they have some good restaurants and clubs, but you can go to those anyway. Mandalay has more restaurants, more bars, more gambling and has plenty of eye candy as well and is closer to the other casinos. I'm 31.

Yeah, that was one link of many that I posted. I saw the interview too and he did say it. He isn't a $10 million player this year, in fact he's a cheap shotting thug who just lost himself $5 million. good one ron. I've actually heard good things about the guy from reporters who say is generally a nice person. Unfortunately he has a major problem, and probably needs some help.

just because we watch crap tv doesn't mean we are dumb people. well some of us are, but for the most part we just like crap tv. and i will say that Eva Longoria is one of the hottest women to be on TV in years.
