    That will solve a lot, won't it? McDermott can stay around and then the next internal hire as DC can have the exact same results under McDermott. Then, that DC can be canned by McDermott after another year or two of garbage defenses and playoff exists. Juat keep the Common denominator around and keep cycling through assistants. I am sure that will produce results.
