johnny... put the crack pipe down. you're not making any sense. Jp Losman has started 4 consecutive games, period. hes laid serious eggs in 3. the vets, led by Eric Moulds, who knows more about football than one single brain cell of yours, had a meaningful discussion with the coach to help him see the light. Your bulschitt about handling JP differently is just that.... and what would you do differently? Oh sure, now that JP has had a few games to get a good look at him under fire. No one knew what that was going to be like before the season began. This whole team has let us down, not just JP. The defense, the special teams, etc. It's one thing to stick a Ben Rothlisberger as a starter when you have one of the top offensive lines in football and with a vet receiving core... not to mention the best defense in the NFL... but, it's another thing to try and put what amounts to a rookie behind a patchwork bunch of journeymen linemen with a running back that refuses to help protect his QB. JP?, handled differently? Damn right, but only by providing him with good players to surround him. Holcomb's experience will help this team mitigate and cover up the piss poor offensive line, to some degree. But, this bunch has nowhere near what it will take to get to the next level... and McNally can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. These guys stink... period.

What behavior sucked? Dicussing team performance amongst his teammates and then going to the coach with the feedback and telling him to get clue or announcing the team was going with Holcomb as the starter? Cool... you don't care what his opinions are. Only he wasn't sharing his opinion with you. Why would you have a problem with Moulds going public about Holcomb starting? You're making an assumption that MM imposed a gag order. Well, if he did, how come Mould's tit aint in the ringer? MM could have just stated that Holcomb will start. All of the secrecy BS serves absolutely no purpose but to piss the fans off and make OBD hierarchy look foolish. The Dolphins don't care. No NFL team cares. They've all done their homework and they all make their adjustments.

He could have pulled a TO and said trade me now. Instead, a 10 year vet took the pulse of his offense, something you would think the HC would do, and the consensus was that the offense is better left in the hands of Holcomb. So, Moulds has the balls to step up to the plate and tell the coach the results of this pulse taking. The coach agrees. end of story. If the offense moves better under Holcomb, doesn't that help the defense out and the special teams as well? So, if the Holcomb move works, don't all three phases of the game inprove and the TEAM improve? Will Moulds get credit if that happens? What does this team have to lose by making the switch at QB now? If they lose and continue to suck on offense, JP will be back in quickly and they can continue to suck until he learns not to suck.

because, the entire team gains some degree of playoff experience... not just Moulds. Instead of just hearing how you must raise your performance level a notch in the playoffs, now you expereince it. and as we have just seen, the "experience" component, or lack thereof, just got JP dispatched to the pine.

or, they new the QB switch was coming ahead of time.

Ah... let me see. Holcomb and Bledsoe... both drop back immobile QBs. Alas, there is a difference between the two. Bledsoe has the gun and Holcomb has the brain. Bledsoe's problem never was his lack of mobility. Bledsoe's problem was, and always will be his brain... it's way too slow. He does not make decisions quickly enough. Why do you think coaches would set up an alarm clock in the guy's ear? Lastly to all of you folks who are bitching about Moulds because he wants to win now... shame on him for wanting to win now or shame on you for wanting to continue to lose.

Well, hell.... hardly anyone ever heard of Ben Sobieski. He was buried somewhere on the Hawkeye depth chart. But Teflon Tom saw him as a steal in round 5. Look at the mileage we got out of this plum. No one is laughing now. Sobieski has made this team for the 3rd consecutive year... and he'll probably be around for a 4th season. Now, whether or not he'll ever be active for a game... honestly... comparing Pioli to one of the most revered GMs in the game, is well... damn embarrassing, right Tom.

Dude... Losman was active from the Patriots game on. Malarkey was thinking playoffs. The fans weren't until about game 12. He could have started Losman right after that loss to the Pats on a Sun. night and with minimal bitching run the course. He diddn't. And as we all know this team wasn't even close to playoff calibre as a team of 2nd and 3rd stringers bloodied theire noses in their own front yard Do you even follow football? or is it just an LA thing?

Ah, but dude... Coughlin was in his first year with the G-men. He had a free pass. Playoffs weren't expected. Mularkey had a free pass too in his first season but decided not to use it and gambled on Bledsoe. Not too many folks are willing to allow Malarkey use of his free pass now after sniffing the playoffs last season. He made his bed. He had a chance last year with the mulligan and blew it. JP... we can't afford to give up on him. The team just aint rallying around him like the G-men rallied around Eli. Maybe that's because this organiztion set unreal playoff expectations. Or perhaps we got schnookered by PT Barnum Donablow... again. If you continue to start JP then you've got to bite the bullet and tank the season. You ain't playing for the playoffs, you're playing just to get better every day and wherever that takes you, it takes you. Let the players and fans know outright that you screwed up and you're starting from square one... which, in effect, they really are doing.

So, since it's his first NFL start in a while, should we expect him to light it up? And, will the bottom line change? Even though Holcomb had a great game, his team still lost. And... I believe that he may have thrown a pick late in that game to seal the deal. Holcomb is, without a doubt, the better option for the Bills at QB right now. But, that might not be saying much and we shouldn't expect a quantum leap in offensive production. This offensive line is, well ... offensive.

Bull crap!!! The last I knew the salary cap for every team in the league was the same, the pool of players was the same, the access to coaches the same. It's how you play the cards. If you're saying your Teflon man has no culpability and that he's merely Ralph's puppet, then it's the Teflon man that has no "!@#$ing nuts" for taking a job as Ralph's concierge. Sorry, but after firing your HC after 3 years of rebuilding and then hiring another rookie HC to hopefully get you to the next level was incredibly stupid. If Ralph told him that "here's $2M, go find a coach", hew was pretty stupid to spend it on inexperience. And, if Ralph told him it had to be that way, then Teflon Man should have told Ralph to kiss his arse and take a GM job someplace else.... that would have showed some "!@#$ing nuts"!

2 wins might shut some folks up, but that would only be temporary. Are you looking for something a little longer term? If that's the case and you're thinking "playoffs", which is what it would take to quiet the masses, then forget about it. We've lost to Tampa, Atlanta, and New Orleans. A loss to Miami is going to tough to swallow. God help us when we play a good team. I can only imagine what would have happened if it were San Diego, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, or Cincinnati that we had lined up against. And even as banged up as New England is, I can just see Belechik waiting his turn in line, foaming at the mouth, for the chance to screw with JP's head.

I don't know if benching him benefits him, but it may very well benefit the team right now. There's valid feeling on the whole team that there is no margin for error because if everyone doesn't do their job (except for JP) then we're going to put JP in a tight spot... and JP can't get us out of any spot right now, let alone a tight spot. When you get into that frame of mind you tend to play "not to lose" rather than playing to win. Some brilliant mind at OBD was sure that the defense and the offensive players surrounding one JP Losman were so great that there was no question that plugging JP right in was no problem. Well, guess what? The next time OBD does another player/team talent evaluation like that, how about they include scouts from about 10 or 12 other NFL teams. Definitely better info than what's coming from inside the organization.

I think that's pretty accurate. Sam Adams without a stud next to him is like an oreo cookie without the middle. And, we all know that you don't fiddle....

Folks... who has consistently reminded you and warned you against drinking the Teflon man's koolaid? Oh, but I was crusading. So what? Call it what you want to call it, but I was fugging damn straight on the money!!

God, I love telling folks "I told you so". Way before training camp I posted my concern, not so much that we lost Pat to free agency, but that his shoes were no where near adequately filled. Adams is only a stud when there's another stud next to him. That's a fact that's been proven. Without Randall in Seattle, Siragusa in Baltimore, and without Williams in Buffalo, Sam is a nonfactor. So, if Tom let Pat walk and had no itentions of adequately back filling, then he should have cut Sam Adams at the same time. Because, essentially, the result in the defense's performance is relatively the same. They are bad, period.

If not today, when exactly did your head injury occur? I wish you a quick recovery.

If the Bills offense represents a car with JP being the driver, what kind of car is he driving? I think maybe it's an 84 Chevy with a good transmission but a bad engine running on 4 out 8 of cylinders and a rusted out frame and doors... and some cracked windows. If you're Tom Donahoe, JP is like his teenage son. Do you think Tom's gonna give him the keys to his new Lexus? Nope. Let him learn on his sisters 84 Chevy. When he learns to drive, then maybe Tom will let him drive the Lexus. I knew Tom had a vision... once JP learns to be a good QB he will reward him with an offensive line.

JP is really a nice guy, unlike me. So, what has JP done for us lately?

Well, what would you suggest? Should we demote MM to OC and bring in a new HC? Should we forget this "smashmouth", "physical", talk and then we pass as much or more than we run? For once, wouldn't you like to just see what might happen if we play smash mouth for 10 or 12 consecutive plays? It ain't all Mularkey's fault. He's just Teflon Tom's kevlar vest. Mularkey inherited a team he had virtually no hand in designing. But, Mularkey's likely to be the first one to go... that's just the the way bidness in the NFL is.
