  1. From the link at the very start of this thread. JM isn't a scapegoat. She's in jail because she wouldn't disclose her sources (due to 'journalistic integrity' whatever the hell that is). At the end of the day, I doubt the investigation was designed to land people in prison. But it was time to clear things up or else the rumors would've never stopped and this thing would get bigger than it is.
  2. Trying to clarify what MM "meant to say" is different from saying that basically no one (except his retarded fans) on the left agrees with him. He said exactly what he meant. The guys we're fighting in Iraq, the same people killing kids and people standing in line for jobs, are his "Minute Men". Let him live with it.
  3. Aages Pizza I like it. I'm thinking about buying the t-shirt.
  4. Are you trying to make me nostalgic??
  5. Forget getting your arms around him, I'd be more concerned about the smell. And the chunks of food in his beard.
  6. Oops, I guess I wasn't clear. I'm saying the main reason they wanted an investigation is for the truth to come out rather than just let the rumors fly. And I don't think necessarily that they thought a crime WAS committed. Judith Miller is in jail because she won't reveal her source for the investigation but 'outing' a CIA agent is only a crime in very specific circumstances according to a 1982 law that was passed. This is why you can only convict someone if they knowingly outed a CIA agent. So I guess the idea I'm floating is that the investigation is most definitely NOT a sham, but that they expected to clear the whole thing up without sending a dozen people to jail. How it all ends is anyone's guess.
  7. Yep. Right there on his website. Right before he was given a seat of honor at the Democratic National Convention next to Jimmuh Cartuh. The only thing worse than MM is people who embrace him.
  8. So are you saying the Fitzgerald investigation is a sham to cover up the truth? What are you saying?
  9. I've heard that Fitzgerald was put in charge of an investigation basically to make the story go away rather than turn into a circus (which, sadly, it is anyway). The idea being that if someone could find out exactly what happened, the truth would be a lot less exciting than what people were hoping for. I'd be interested in seeing what he discovers - though he isn't obligated to ever release any thing he finds (supposedly, again).
  10. Link No rush to reply to this since everyone already knows where everyone else stands. I find it interesting that more than half of the full story is being ignored by the talking heads on TV these days...
  11. Is that because there are so many French connections to terror groups? (No, the above was not a Sabres reference.)
  12. I don't know how...but Karl Rove is behind this......
  13. Tough times for France. Unemployment hovering at 10%, EU crashed on take-off, lost the Olympics, and now the mayor of Paris is caught crying like a little girl. 2005 is the most embarassing year for France since....I dunno.....last year.....
  14. Oliver Stone, one month after 9/11..... Link Could this man be any less sane? And he's the one Hollywood picked to direct the first big budget 9/11 movie???? Yeah, sounds about right.
  15. The real issue is that political figures said one thing and are now going to do another? Yeah, there's a new one..........
  16. When your goals in life are so pathetic to begin with ("Kill infidels. Die."), I'm sure failing to pleasure a woman 72 times in a row because you have no idea what you're doing might not seem that bad. I'm sure spending the rest of eternity with 72 disappointed women is lots of fun.
  17. Guys who can't get laid in this life so they want a piece of some virgins in the next life. AKA Douche bags.
  18. I got dumped by one last month. Actually, what you just said reminds me of the guys in the mechanical engineering machine shop here on campus. I went down there with one of the girls from my office to get a power drill to help set stuff up in office. The guy there tells me (quietly) that if I need anything else, don't come down, just send a girl from the office. Gotta love dirty old men.
  19. I can't see him telling anyone "Joe Wilson's wife is fair game." I can see him saying Wilson only got the job because of his wife, who apparently abused her power to get him to Niger, but I don't see him taking on a CIA agent and expecting to come out looking good. Not before an election anyway. If KR is the best hardball "figure" in America (I don't say politician because he doesn't run for office), you'd think he'd be smart enough to know what the media can do when they smell blood. The NYT whipped up a brief frenzy over missing explosives in the week leading up to the election last November. Turns out the missing explosives may have been disposed of and would have only accounted for less than 1% of the total amount of Iraqi weapons that had been secured and/or destroyed since the war began but they made it an issue anyway (I believe their second front page headline was "Missing Weapons become Campaign Issue"). Imagine if they'd have this to work with a year ago. It just doesn't add up.
  20. Some of us get to work on college campuses down south where lots of hotties roam wild and free......
  21. So the President's top advisor, a man already villified by groups like moveon.org, would meet with a reporter a leak an undercover CIA agent's name to the press in order to derail her idiot husband who was being derailed anyway? And he would do this prior to the 2004 elections without worrying about his name (or emails of this nature) popping up and loons like Isikoff running with it? Seems like the exact definition of high risk-low reward move, and that's why it still doesn't make sense to me. And most Americans still don't know who Joe Wilson is, what he did, and why he's a liar and a fraud. Frenkle didn't.
  22. Would anything matter at this point?
