  1. never heard any sane person say "stop being happy". In my book, happiness is winning. Above any other measure. but that was the conclusion of your little cartoon. others want people to be unhappy. moronic...
  2. once again, lots of words and very little substance. almost like obfuscation! Chi is kicking your a$$ but please play on. It's fun to watch and I'm learning a little law from Chi.
  3. I'll ask you to prove a positive rather than you asking to prove a negative. Please provide links and not from fringe propagandists. actual documents would be fine. Or we can wait for the mobster ex prez's trial. i'm sure his defense lawyers will highlight this if they have evidence.
  4. ya think CNN's lawyers might have viewed this piece before it was posted? cuz they are implicating multiple lawyers in it. But we will find out soon enough....another indictment is imminent. And trump can't pardon himself in Ga.
  5. maybe you should write a novel cuz this is all fiction. you have a good imagination it seems. Wait for trumps trial. I suspect ewe will all get some answers from people in trump's administration at the time
  6. what about kushner? it's a fair game argument given your sides constant use of it. what do you think trump would have done as president if he was indicted at the time? Think he'd have played by the rules like Joe Biden is?
  7. This is pretty terrible. Look like new numbers. We don't pay rent or a mortgage but do buy groceries obviously. have noticed those increasing but I'd estimate an extra $100/month. seems like housing costs are big part of this.
  8. I do respect them and don't tread on them. I don't talk politics in the community unless I'm sure I'm with like minded people (with the exception of being very vocal about Covid). And I try to work with people who already know me and we have mutual respect. Seems to work for everyone involved.
  9. I agree with all of this. I can get my senator or congressman to answer my emails but in no way do I influence policy. Talked to Tim Kaine once for about 5 mins at a private party/fundraiser about single payer. In so many words, he told me "not gonna happen". I think the white privilege point is a fair criticism and is counterproductive to the country as a whole. It was there but is pretty well gone esp in the communities you are pointing to. But the social programs that D's often push would help poor whites too and they often reject them. I also agree it's about perception and a voice for them. Unions were that voice for many years but have been weakened by both parties and by money in politics. Campaign finance rules would certainly help but I'm not sure there'd be much excitement for it even among this part of the electorate. All candidates should be forced to speak to this issue.
  10. I just don't see how blue collar workers are getting f'ed by the gov't. Taxes are still very progressive. trump actually gave tax breaks to the rich tho. D's fight for unions more than R's. Freeloaders are the one area I agree with. They should be prosecuted if there's fraud. I think both parties could agree on this but most efforts are symbolic and ineffective. There is a belief by some social scientists that it's actually cheaper to give away money to the poor than to build programs to build skills. I don't agree with it but there's evidence for it. the other issue is a difference of opinion on social issues. For example, a great many working people (don't like this term cuz i worked hard too) would benefit from single payer healthcare. But they're against it cuz it's view2ed as "socialism".
  11. I don't doubt they identify with it. What is it that they want? War protestors wanted to end the war. Gore protestors wanted SCOTUS to rule in their favor. Floyd protestors wanted police violence to end. But what do blue collar working people want from Washington? Somebody who pretends to be their voice?
  12. What is he protesting? That he's not paid enough as a factory worker? Does the gov't control that?
  13. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ups-drivers-170000-pay-benefits-compensation/ I was off on the gretsch. National resonators can go for over $3K. Surprised at this price https://www.guitarcenter.com/Gretsch-Guitars/G9240-Alligator-Round-Neck-Mahogany-Body-Biscuit-Cone-Resonator-Guitar-2-Color-Sunburst-1500000206464.gc?cntry=us&source=4WWRWXGP&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9_2Zpt_XgAMVAtzjBx1mTg_wEAQYAyABEgL18_D_BwE
  14. Ya know, if he wants more money, he should probably give up being a musician. Some of the best bluegrass artists still live in their parents basement. I hear UPS drivers are getting 100k. btw, that resonator guitar is probably worth $1000
  15. Meadows is going to be key imo. If he's agreed to testify, I wonder if he'll be given protection...
  16. We can do some simple Tango moves and the basic steps - always remember being told to move like a cat! This is Argentine Tango- much harder and reportedly a huge part of their culture.
  17. you guys not like Tango? It's a family video. Old folk like me admiring and applauding. Dancers don't practice to be ignored. Not a thing wrong with it. No different than watching a musical artist. TF wrong with you. It's not violence. It's not racist. It's not sexist. It's art and likely to be banned in Fla.
  18. It's early and Garland did the right thing. Let the chips fall. Wouldn't be so bad for this to give another D a chance in the primaries.
  19. Old man lying by the side of the road With the lorries rolling by Blue moon sinking from the weight of the load And the buildings scrape the sky Cold wind ripping down the alley at dawn And the morning paper flies Dead man lying by the side of the road With the daylight in his eyes Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning Find someone who's turning And you will come around
  20. I might have casually, without touching, examined someone but don't tell. That's a different dream. I like yoga
