  1. Likewise. (Mine was a Sports Illustrated poster.) Anyone wants it, let me know, because it'll never see daylight in this house again.
  2. Did you get rid of your Bills stuff after OJ?
  3. As I said, I have my doubts. Consider also that he went trolling for a "date" in college-town bars even though the lawsuit in Nevada is still under review, and how can you not question his judgment?
  4. Didn't "follow." The sorority girls went to the second bar because one of their group worked there and could get an employee discount. That's in the report, too.
  5. Bouncing his face off the windshield of a car wasn't enough of an incentive for him to start wearing a motorcycle helmet, so I have my doubts.
  6. Got you to click. GR is covering Round 1 with Brian Koziol and Joe Buscaglia; unknown about any live remotes from RWS or special guest stars. Obviously, they'll be carrying the Sabres game Friday night.
  7. I was wondering about that, since I knew he was covering the draft from here. Thanks for the roster update.
  8. The Pittsburgh native who now lives up here has offered her son his choice of any other player's jersey in return for his black-and-gold #7 shirts. He picked Favre, who may be a diva, but to the best of my knowledge doesn't troll college bars looking for drunken hookups...
  9. WECK 1230 Webcast link From the Riter Radio blog: "Brad Riter, Scott Wilson and Bob Gaughan don’t pretend to be NFL Draft experts. They just watch a lot of college football. " Those three will be in the studio for Round 1 of the draft, with Buffalo News beat writer and "Sports Insiders" co-host Allen Wilson chiming in from Ralph Wilson Stadium. Brad says, "I promise it'll be the best coverage in WNY."
  10. Two of my friends from high school, one who now lives in Pittsburgh and the other a born-and-bred Yinzer who moved to our town as a young'un, are diehard Steeler fans. And both have taken their kids' #7 jerseys away from them, with one mailing it back to the team. You really want that in Buffalo?
  11. As I said, I wouldn't have put money on it without knowing the original source, but I do trust my friend. And once I started hearing "conditional" -- see: Vick -- I'm thinking that counseling/rehab/etc. has to be in there somewhere.
  12. Good one. Turning serious, I'm guessing the "conditional" part includes evaluation and treatment (including counseling) in the substance-abuse program.
  13. Hey, waitaminute, this is the Dean we're talking about, right? Of course it is. You were there for him at the end, Brian, just as you have been for years. Hope that brings you some comfort in the difficult days ahead. Thoughts, prayers, and hugs your way, brother.
  14. Paying?!? Serious answer: working on preps stuff, transcribing interviews, and waiting for a call from a track coach. Y'all gonna have to handle this one yourselves.
  15. Detroit on Nov. 14: http://www.detnews.com/article/20100420/SP...mplete-schedule
  16. Bears fans. And now that the cat has long since escaped the bag, the official text from the Bills just arrived.
  17. Considering that said article was posted at 3:27 this morning, I think we do okay.

  19. The front page of TBD: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/foot...article1539955/
  20. Based on recent performance, those teams might be saying the same about Buffalo. Dick Jauron's combined Bills record against the Lions, Chiefs and Browns: 1-4. (Perry Fewell coached the win over the Chiefs last December.)
  21. Yup. KC and Minny are the furthest west. As for the date of Bears-Bills (Toronto), the Argos are on the road that weekend, so it's technically possible. Not sure the CFL will like the competition on the final weekend of their regular season ... but then again, I don't think anyone's asking them.
  22. Well, that pretty much sucked in both Boston and Montreal. Thphppht.
  23. FWIW: I'm not willing to wager that the number relayed to me will end up being the final answer ... but I will say that it supposedly came from an e-mail originating in the NFL offices, via an acquaintance who works for one of the networks. (NOT ESPN, for what it's worth, and not anyone who posts on this board.) Goodell is not amused. At all. And completely speculating here -- what happens if the NFL investigation turns up proof that money exchanged hands with the bar owner and/or someone inside the local PD?
