I know what you are saying. But i bet if the choice was the Jets or no NFL at all, he'd choose the Jets. The whole draft system depends on a 'degree' of honour. Otherwise you could end up with something like we have with soccer over here and players just wanting to go to the best sides and the game being inherently unfair. I know it can't quite come to that. But the spirit should be that you go where you are drafted. In the same vein, tanking for better draft options is also against the spirit of the gam - I reckon any team that finishes winless should get a maximum 5th first round pick, so there is no reward for throwing games. I know I'm sort of talking garbage here. But do you know what I mean? Playing in that Jets side - with the way it's shaping up - is hardly like being sent to devil's island.
