I'm starting to think the WRs are getting so much buzz that the top 8-9 will be gone before the Bills pick.

I think in that situation I'd want them to trade down, but it'd hurt.

I would be totally amazed if that many wr’s went before the Bills pick. If that were the case then a ton of good players would fall into the bottom of the first round.

His stat line is pretty dang good and is a plus athlete

    95 tackles

    12 TFL

    3 Sacks

    5 PBUs

    5% missed tackle

65% completion percentage (Not bad for a LB)

    Good 3rd LB/Sam

His stats are better than T Edmunds ever were.😆

There’s no point in that the only way you beat the chiefs anymore is to win an arms race get your qb as many weapons as they can cause McDermott has proven even with a totally healthy defense he really can’t stop the Burrows and Mahomes of the world might as well outscore them.

I’m not saying to draft a pass rusher, just that if Mahomes is pressured that is the only time he is off on his throws or throws picks. I think we should definitely draft a wr in the first round and more on day two or three. Check out what the Raiders did to him when they beat KC at the end of the season. I’m speaking more about defensive strategy against him.

He will be a Chief. Mahomes even posted about him on Twitter. Which leads me to think Mahomes is 100 percent tuned into who  is next future Wr could be. They are going to rehaul their Wr room with a vet and a rookie.

I agree that the Chiefs will be very aggressive upgrading their receiver group with both a free agent signing and in the draft. They will load up and all the pundits will continue to heap gobs of praise at them. Can’t say I blame them, but it will still drive me crazy. Pass rush will be the only way to stop them.

  5. Just wait during this off season when KC adds top end wide receivers for Mahomes. There is a good chance they will get even better. I will agree with the poster who mentioned that KC’s offensive line gets away with a ton of egregious holding (arms wrapped around necks, upper body tackles, etc.). Not saying that won them the game, but sure buys Mahomes time.

  6. My brother and I, as long time season ticket holders, were picked in the lottery for the Super Bowl in Minnesota. Yes, it was cold, but the memories were invaluable, especially being with my brother. Saw many top sports celebrities walking about the city, attended the Super Bowl Experience and had a great time. Our seats were in the end zone in front of some of the box seats/high end lounges.  As it turned out Mohammed Ali was in that lounge and stepped out by our seats during the game. Pretty memorable. Go Bills!!🏈🍻

It is a slippery slope when you start getting to perfectly equal in terms of stadium, design, conditions etc... There are many people who think Buffalo playing outdoors in the weather we do is unfair and all northern teams should be in a dome. Seattle and KC were engineered in a way to amplify the noise in their standings to make it impossible to hear for the opponent. The league could halt or pause a game if the heat is legitimately unsafe, they have not needed to at this point.

Just make the conditions equal for both teams, which currently it is not! That’s criminal and should be addressed in the same light as concussions. If player safety comes first then they should act on it.

Rodgers, Hackett, Saleh & Douglas will all be gone in 2025.

I don’t believe that even with Rodgers coming back that the Jets would be a threat. They are a totally dysfunctional outfit. We saw how good Hackett did with Russell Wilson. Their defense will still be good until players stop believing in their system during the season. Many will be looking forward to their next contract and new team. Too many chefs in that kitchen. Go Bills!!

And this is an important point.  Nobody has stopped Mahomes and the Chiefs in the playoffs...with the exception of one year where the Bengals beat them.  This is not just a Bills issue.  It's an AFC issue.  Considering what the Bills were able to do with practice squad players playing defense, I think the key is on offense.  We know Josh poses a huge challenge...but he can't do it alone.  We need to load up on offense.  I believe our defense will get better just by getting healthy players back, resigning a couple of pieces, and drafting to get younger.   Draft some solid WRs and those that are on the roster, need to catch the ball.

I believe we would have beaten KC if Milano and Bernard were playing.

  10. I feel comfortable with our defense and I believe this front office will fill positions of need with very capable replacements. Some of our players entering their second season should improve to the point that there won’t be as big a drop off when they enter the game. I also think if Bernard and Milano played against KC that we would have won that game.

    But he didn't catch it.

And that was a theme over the final 2 months of the season.  Not getting open, frequent drops and inability to make contested plays.

It's not like Diggs hasn't been facing extra attention his ENTIRE career in Buffalo.  That's not an excuse.  The Bills haven't had an elite #2 to draw coverage away since Cole Beasley was first cut.  Not an excuse either.  And every single WR in the league will have missed throws/plays on film that could have changed their stat line.  Also not an excuse.  Bottom line is, the production for Diggs fell off a cliff in the back-half of the season.

Most quarterbacks aren't Tom Brady.  And most wide receivers aren't Jerry Rice.  Age is a real thing for professional athletes, and it has nothing to do with talent or competitive drive.  Playing to 35-40 years old at a high level is extremely rare.  Look at the shelf life for most top WRs in the NFL, and you will see quite a large number start declining shortly after their 30th birthday.  The most recent that comes to mind is Julio Jones.  And once "Father Time" comes calling, it's over.

Hopefully Diggs was dealing with an undisclosed injury that really slowed him down.  Because otherwise, the harsh reality is that he has probably hit the age wall.

I agree. In previous years Diggs makes the catches he dropped or missed this year, a true difference maker. Not so much this year. I am hoping it was injury related, but time will tell.
