  1. So we did have a Smith visit. I couldn't remember if the team met with him or not. If you're looking for a big bodied run stuffer, that's what Smith is, but I think Bresee is a better fit and is a 3-down player. I'd rather not see them take a DT in rd 1 period.
  2. If Addison is still on the board at 27 and we draft Mazi Smith, I'm really going to start to question some of the FO decisions and if they're the right guys to win a title. Did we even bring in Smith?
  3. If your idea is the Bills take a DT first round, if Dallas doesn't take Bresee, you think the Bills take him over Mazi? I like Bresee more than Smith.
  4. Yeah, that's a ton of money to have to go to just those 3. As far a KC, they do have a need IMO. They lost Juju and Hardman. Not sure I'd be comfortable with rolling with MVS, Toney, and Moore.
  5. I still don't get the no agent thing. That's like representing yourself in court. Not a smart idea.
  6. That's what many people are forgetting here...we have 6 picks. Unless Beane were to be willing to dip into next year's picks, which I wouldn't want him to, we don't have as much to offer. KC has what...10 picks or something?
  7. Nor does it make sense they won't pay him, but had no problem paying (overpaying) for OBJ and then taking on another big WR contract? It's like they'll gladly pay for the bun and the veggies but won't buy the actual burger.
  8. I think some posters will still rage even if they like the picks. It will be preemptive rage if the player isn't an all-star after year 1, therefore, a bust.
  9. 🤮 Nah, I was thinking more along the lines of the Belgian variety.
  10. WR room is way too crowded if we add DHop to then draft another. We still have Shakir, who I still see having a productive career. Got to address OL.
  11. If they somehow do pull off a trade for DHop, I don't see where there's any possibility they then turn around and draft a WR high right after that..
  12. You mean Dr's don't recommend jumping on tables with a bad back? 😂
  13. I don't hate the idea of a pass rusher, but we've been burned on guys so many times now at DE that I'm really gun shy about taking them early.
  14. Kiper is smoking his special draft day recipe early today. Lots of teams do the very thing you described. BPA. If Robinson somehow fell to 27, he'd for sure be the best player on the board.
  15. That's why my position has always been the only way we take a RB is if it's Robinson and he falls to us at our normal draft position. Not a likely scenario at all, but just one of those ideas you keep in your back pocket if some crazy things happen on draft day.
  16. IDK, on the crazy off chance Robinson were to slide (I don't think it's going to happen) I think Beane would have to give it a pretty hard thought before he passed.
  17. Well, I wouldn't say they aren't with absolute certainty because Beane does love him some RBs. It would be nice if he and Dorsey got on the same page this season. Remember Beane's reasoning for trading for Hines? Never happened.
  18. Because they're the Texans for a reason. Trainwreck.
  19. We drafted Cook in the second round last year and his playing time was extremely limited early on. That's why I don't think even if we did draft a RB, which doesn't make sense with the much higher needs we have at other positions, the rookie would see significant playing time in such a crowded backfield.
  20. I don't think we paid Harris almost $4M just to be depth and neither do I think we re-signed Hines for 2yrs/$9M just to return kicks. Not to mention, by the end of the season last year, Cook's playing time was significantly higher than the beginning of the season and he played well with the opportunities he had. Sinking another high draft pick into the RB room we already have would be extremely foolish, especially if it's someone other than Robinson, who's not going to make it to 27.
  21. If we are able to land Addison at 27, first, I'll be extremely happy. Second, extremely surprised. He's a Diggs clone if I've ever seen one and even though Diggs is good picking up extra yards, I think Addison may be even better RAC.
  22. Yep, better have a contingency plan in-place there. Putting all their faith in Brown would be a huge mistake.
  23. Why would a rookie get 12-15 touches/game in this offense, on a roster that already has 3 RBs? One of which was just signed this offseason, another a second round pick a year ago, and a third being a guy they re-signed for 2 yrs/$9M. If one guy is getting 12-15 touches a game, that means the others aren't getting much of anything. That's why a single feature back makes no sense in this offense, so drafting another one high in the draft makes even less sense.
