  1. Agreed. A 5' 10" QB in this league is at a serious disadvantage from the jump. To put it into perspective, look at a Bills O huddle. Diggs is 6 feet tall. Look how Josh still seems to tower over everyone except the tallest o line. In this league, being able to see over your lineman and it being less likely your balls are batted down by 6' 2"+ d-line and LBs simply cannot be discounted.
  2. Kiper's latest has us taking Simpson in the first and Downs in the second. I wouldn't hate that, but don't really love it either. I don't personally see Downs falling to the end of the second round anyway.
  3. Hopefully he means on our roster after the addition we make on April 27th or 28th because there's not a name on our roster that inspires confidence at MLB right now.
  4. Regular season spans 5 months now, so basically $50/month. Very reasonable IMO.
  5. Don't think the signup is active yet. Supposed to go live at some point today. I would imagine it will appear right in the settings page that shows all the available additional subscriptions.
  6. Apparently, you will be able to split screen multiple games with this, so kinda defeats the need for Redzone now. If there's more than one game I care about, I can just have it up at the same time.
  7. Yeah, the reality is this...highly unlikely Campbell will still be on the board at #59. If we want him, we will either have to get him in the first, trade out of the first and gamble he'll still be there if we can get into the early second, or use #27 on another position and trade up in the second round.
  8. Jalen Carter is the JaMarcus Russell of Defensive Tackles.
  9. Taking a RB in the first round is already questionable as it is. Trading up to take a RB in the first round is just plain dumb. Why do people think it's still 1995? You don't need stud RBs to win a SB and the past decade of SB winners demonstrates that. There is just no value in taking RBs that high. If it's not Robinson still there at #27, then forget about it.
  10. That's why I believe trading out of the first round may be the better play than reaching. Not a ton of true first round talent in this draft IMO and if we get a chance to get an extra pick or two by dropping back into the early/mid second, we should probably take it.
  11. We signed Harris too. He's no slouch. The only exception I would make is that if Robinson is there at #27, we take him. He's more than likely not going to be, so I don't put much stock in that scenario ever happening.
  12. This is a pretty bad take. The O-line was a complete sieve most of the game and Josh was running for his life against what was a 3-man rush sometimes.
  13. I don't give a rats arse what color the guy is. I want the guy who can fill a hole, who's a dependable tackler, and who has good MLB instincts. IMO, the guy that does those three things the best coming right out of college is Campbell. Maybe someone else will eventually be better, but that's why they are a bigger gamble. We need to make solid hits, especially this draft.
  14. This has got to be an April fools. If this logic were sound, we would've been fine with the WR corps we had last season. We weren't. We were pulling guys out of retirement.
  15. This draft is fairly deep in talent at OT. He will definitely be on Beane's radar but whether he'll be there at #27 or if we take an OT in the first round is another story.
  16. I know you didn't. I was just expanding on what you said because there are many here who think we should take a RB first round.
  17. You don't take RBs in the first round unless they're seen as a generational talent and even then, there's still not full agreement. There's one of those in this draft who will most likely not be there when we pick. It's better to focus on players that have a much better chance to be.
  18. Kelly said stars, so to me, that's pro-bowl caliber backs considering his frame of reference is Thurman. Not necessary. You need serviceable backs, not pro-bowlers making $10M a year. They aren't the ones winning rings.
  19. Respect his opinion, but the league has changed since the no-huddle K-gun with Thurman Thomas. Super Bowl winning teams of the last decade have not had nor needed pro-bowlers at the RB position. The best way to help Josh is through more weapons at receiver, a much improved o-line, and smart play calling.
  20. If Beane swings a trade for DHop or signs OBJ, the need to draft a WR high in this less than spectacular WR draft class is gone. OT is fairly deep in this year's draft and there's going to be quality lineman to be had well outside the first round. I think our best bet is to trade out of the first into earlier in the second, where we will still probably be able to snag Campbell as well as pick up some additional picks in the process.
  21. I think he's the perfect fit for us. Watching him on film, his instincts are amazing. Edmunds had all the physical gifts to be a great LB, but to me, lacked the instincts. Campbell looks like the total package.
  22. When he's healthy, he's a force. Let's hope he can stay healthy this season.
  23. Yeah, he's solid. Really been flying under the radar given all the attention Robinson gets at the position.
  24. Depends on what happens between now and the draft. If Beane were to sign a DHop or OBJ, then I don't think we take a WR early. I think this draft is deeper at OT than it is at MLB. I'm not sure Campbell falls to the end of the 2nd. I would take Campbell at #27 and an OT at #59.
  25. He always seems to be our fallback option, eh? 😆
