  1. That makes absolutely no sense.
  2. Josina Anderson of CBS Sports spoke to an NFL source who expressed concern that the Bills may not even be able to fly out of Buffalo. “Snow is coming down hard right now,” the source told Anderson. “I don’t know what’s the contingency if everyone can’t make it to the airport or we can’t fly out.”
  3. Signs do point to Daboll wanting out. Flores lawsuit mentions that Daboll wanted out of Buffalo, even if it wasn’t for a head coach job. In other words, he would consider a lateral job move.
  4. For Gabe, I would say it’s less a lack of involvement and more an issue of him dropping pass after pass. He has to have close to a dozen drops.
  5. Seems pretty simple to me. Klein probably wasn’t willing to take a pay cut so we released him. Here is McDermott talking about it:
  6. McDermott made a comment that Klein left by his own choice. Interesting.
  7. I agree with you on the taunting. That’s a bit much and those things you mentioned that he said simply didn’t need to come out. Not sure you hate the “us” or “we” part though. They’re literally a member of the organization.
  8. True. But I am a little surprised they didn’t leave yesterday night or this morning. Just so they could get 1 more practice in.
  9. Well said. I had these concerns even as we were racking up wins. Poor coaching decisions were happening even in blowout games, but they were overshadowed by the fact that our roster was so much better than the opponent, so it didn’t matter. The problem with ignoring those poor coaching decisions during wins is that you will eventually face teams that have a roster that is closer in talent to yours than the teams you beat. In those games, coaching matters. A lot. From dropping linebackers too far back on 3rd and 18 against Houston in OT in the playoffs, to keeping Phillips and Liuget on the field (our two worst run stoppers at the time) as the Texans ran over and over and over again in that second half drive. To even calling a run play with 30 seconds left in the first half, at the 23 yard line, with no timeouts, instead of going for the endzone (what!?). To not having your secondary coached to knock the ball down in the Fail Murray in Arizona, and then two years later to not have your secondary (or at least Cam Lewis) know to knock the ball down on 4th and 18 instead of trying to intercept it. Then there was the MNF game where Belichick outcoached McDermott in every facet, including McDermott wasting a needed timeout on a ball spot (those almost never work). And all the way to the famous example of not squibb kicking against KC and playing 15 yards off Kelce and not defending the middle of the field. And all those times over the years where McDermott would be thinking about challenging a play so he called timeout first. Why!? Just throw the challenge flag! You potentially lose a timeout either way! I haven’t seen him do that this year, which is nice. Maybe he learned. There are just so so so many examples of places where we flat out would have several more wins if coaching was better.
  10. Couldn’t practice Wednesday due to not enough players and couldn’t practice today due to weather. They travel tomorrow. 1 practice before a big game is unfortunate.
  11. Minus the taunting, Van did all of those things. He was a big homer. And I loved it. It is “we”. He is part of the teams staff. His paycheck says “Buffalo Bills”. “Touchdown! Andre Reed for the touchdown! It is bedlam! It is pandemonium! It is fandemonium! It is… fantastic!” (all while screaming it) .
  12. Last time we played in Detroit over 56,000 people showed up. Maybe we will even sell out this time.
  13. Reid has taken 3 seperate QB’s to the Championship game. Thats an insane feat. He has also been to 7 Championship games.
  14. Oh wow. That’s too bad. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Maybe i’m opening up a can of worms by asking, but why do you say he’s not a good person?
  16. Just pulled up the most recent route charts for Gabe Davis (they don’t update his every week so this is a few weeks old). The DB for the Vikings has a point. Very little variation m in Davis routes. And below is Diggs for comparison. Quite the difference.
  17. I wouldn’t count on it. Hines and Marlowe have been on the team for weeks and are still learning, apparently.
  18. That a great way to describe Van. He made you feel like you were there watching it, rather than listening.
  19. The GOAT. I grew up listening to Van Miller. ”It’s fandemoniummmm”
  20. Yeah I think that’s fair. “Meh” is how I feel about it haha. I really liked Tasker as the color commentator. I know he would mess up sometimes, and maybe it’s just the nostalgia, but something about hearing him comment on the game live made me happy. I remember whenever a fumble happened he would yell “ball!” - He explained that’s what they were taught to do on the sidelines as a player
  21. I just came into this thread to say that I am so thankful that we have Allen. Go Bills.
  22. I just watched it in slow mo. The DB never batted it. It did inadvertently graze his arm though. Still fell right into Knox’s lap though. Tough catch, i’ll give you that. . Here here! I can get behind that! Speak it into existence. Josh is going to have an amazing game! Go Bills!
  23. We have had a lot of coaching/weather threads lately so I figured this may be a welcome distraction. Pat McAfee posted the radio call of the Vikings winning (sorry, I wish there was a different example) and I was blown away at the quality, tempo, and enthusiasm of the Vikings radio guy. In my opinion, it puts Murph to shame. It seems like Murph is always sputtering and second guessing and the calls have little enthusiasm. I vaguely remember the amazing Hyde INT in the playoffs last year went something like “Mac throws it deep. And it’s caught. Oh wait. Maybe Hyde got it? Yes, Hyde got it, interception.” Just … meh. What is everyone else’s opinion? Do you agree with my take or are you a Murph fan? Anyway, if you have the stomach for it, this is a great radio call to listen to, even if it was at our expense:
  24. Sucks to lose a home game but this may actually end up helping us. Run first teams typically excel in snow more so than pass first teams.
