Every franchise has an Elam level bust at least once in the last 5 years. It's disappointing but not crippling. It does become a real problem if you stack consecutive 1st round busts. We need a lot more from Kincaid and Coleman starting this year. If those two bust right after Elam then Beane will have some very difficult questions to answer.

    Agreed.

The worst part to me is not the Elam bust, but knowing you let your enemy jump ahead of you and grab an All-Pro at CB.

he's not as bad as people say but we could certainly get better at the position. He does not make mistakes. He is a micah Hyde light.

He’s worse than people and makes mistakes constantly.

Horrible angles, missed tackles, poor adjustment to passes, etc.

    He’s already lined up Offside.

It was never even in my periphery that the Bills would be interested in him, but I was on a Chargers form the other day just reading comments about various things, and Bosa was obviously a big talking point.

The fan consensus over there is that he is completely toast. That he struggled to make a difference even when healthy and that his best days are far gone. Also a lot of talk about him being good for a penalty per game.

I remember thinking, I feel bad for whatever team pays him.

    Oops.

It's $30M AAV, exactly what was reported. Nothing about the trade compensation or the money is shocking. This was the known asking price. Rousseau plus Bernard's AAV more than makes up for it. Beane chose the two solid players over the one great player. That decision is emblematic of his strategy in general and it hasn't gotten us over the hump.

    Yeah, it's disappointing but expected.

That 11,000 figure is from December and is mostly the high-priced club seats. It's being reported today that the pace has improved substantially for the cheaper PSL's and half the lower bowl is already sold.

"The Bills have said they sold out their club seat inventory, with PSL prices ranging from $8,000 to $50,000, and have now sold over half of their inventory in the lower level, which aligns with the team’s expected timing, according to Pete Guelli, Bills executive vice president and chief operating officer."

Yeah, that’s well behind pace. They’re no where near where they need to be.

Even if they sold 3,000 seats per month (which is 3x their current rate) after the December number, they would still only be at 20k seats sold with nearly 40k to go.

If you're rooting for this PSL thing to blow up in Terry's face you are going to be disappointed.

The stadium will sell out eventually.

They are going to sellout on time.

If it is to sell-out in time, then they need to hurry up the pace. By a lot.

This is the misleading part of the story. The Bills haven’t hit like 50% of the current people yet (forget about anyone else).

That is part of the problem with selling via the time-share method.

Even if 100% of people are willing to buy, it takes time to simply get to everyone.

Couple that with the last figure released showed nearly 1/2 of people declining the offer, its taking a realllllyyy long time.

Simple. The Bills are built to be competitive year after year while hoping to catch lightning in a bottle at some point. They will not go all in at a chance to win a Superbowl if it involves mortgaging the future. Beane has said this exact thing. So here we are.

    Sigh.

    Yep.

I get what youre saying. I'd also argue that if Allen had Kelly's defenses he would have WON 4 Super Bowls already.

Kelly would have went to 0 Super Bowls in todays AFC.

Allen is far and away the best QB in Bills history. We would have a ring or two if Allen was leading those SB teams.
