The secret to true Buffalo Wings is that they aren't battered AT ALL, just fried so that the crunchy tasty coating is the skin.

Neither does the traditional sauce involve Gluten.  Some sauces have Soy Sauce in them, which is not gluten free, but also not "traditional"

So are you saying Buffalo Wings taste like crap?  That's kind of heretical....

The only issue for someone who is truly gluten intolerant, is they need a dedicated fryer that is not used to cook battered shrimp, fish, veggies etc.

Otherwise the batter falling off that stuff is enough to contaminate the oil.

Buffalo wings are awesome and I wish they had them in Tampa. I'm saying most gluten free stuff tastes horrible. I can't eat the bread or pasta.  No one makes Wings like they do in Buffalo. There was a place in Miami owned by a Buffalo guy that made great wings and played Bills games but its been years since I've been there.

  2. I think McD is smart enough to roll with the hot hand. We will see the youngsters flying if they play mistake free and aren't caught out of position. Other than getting to the QB, they need to be able to contain the edge and stop the run. Addison and Hughes may not get there all the time, but they also don't get fooled and caught out of position for big plays. They know the D well and play within their role in it.

If the kids can do the same and get to the QB quicker, then I am sure we will see more of them. BTW I love Groot! This kid will be a gamer for us and make a lot of big plays.

DONT TAKE ALLEN NUMBER 1 OVERALL.

If you are playing fantasy football for fanhood of your team, fine, but playing Madden would be cheaper.

If you’re playing to win, you would be a fool to take Allen first when he will certainly be there in the second round unless your whole league is Bills fans.  Take Christian McCaffrey then take Allen next round.

Allen hasn't lasted past 20 in any of my leagues. That's the crappy part about the number one pick. Once you get your guy, you watch as all the other studs you wanted fall off the board.

Definitely a QB in football, he has to know everyone's position and then physically make all the right moves. There are only about 12 great QBs on the planet, much less than all other positions, hence why they are paid most.

Agreed for these reasons plus the fact of having to pre-read defenses and pressures to get his players into the right position with the play calls or audible out if he feels the defense has the advantage on a particular play call.

Followed by CB. With all the new rules favoring the WR's, a CB has to play so carefully to not get flagged, plus be instinctive  and incredibly athletic. With receivers now gaining a height advantage too, it's really hard to be a shutdown corner on a teams #1 WR.

  5. I think you are assuming right, especially with game 17.

If Devin doesn't have an injury he needs 59 yds a game. If he averages 4.5 yds per carry he needs 13 carries per game.  4.0 yds per carry = 15 carries.

With an average of 75 plays per game, we should rush about 25.  Thats 66% passing 33% rushing.  If we go 75% passing that is still 19 rushing plays.

Devin would need about 13 of 19 carries or most likely 14/15 of 25.

I think he gets those carries, especially if we are controlling the clock in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

The Bills continue their disdain for Tight Ends

I think they go 4 wide and continue to throw more. The line has been pretty good in protection and  Josh seems to be getting the ball out quicker.

I think they want Diggs, Gabe, Sanders and Beasley on the field and it will create mismatches, especially if Breida, Moss and Devin can be the safety valve and take on blitzes.  TE is a concern, but not a major one.  What we saw Josh do with GB is just the beginning.

Welcome another Tampa Bills guy.  I have a rep here so live up to it brother.  Us Tampa Bills guys need to stick together.  As far as JA17, I hope we see him here like TB12 for the next 20 years.

That would be absolutely awesome.  How great would it be for us to be a winner for the next two decades?

Nice to meet you.  I saw that the Bills backers of Tampa go to the Patio for games. Any other great Bills bars in the area?

Come on man, don't be that guy.

Ask the OP on that topic. I just agree with him. They tried to do it to the Bills too. And they got the Indians off the map and were hot on the Chiefs trail. At some point, there has to be some rational thought.  Either way, I am happy for Patterson and his well-deserved shot at living his dream.

I've called them the WTFs from the day they instituted the Washington Football Team name.  The name just screams WTF!

YES!!! I have done the same. They will always be a WTF! team for me. Caving in to the insanity of a team name being offensive. Oh boy. There's way more names I can think of that would offend people more than Redskins.  Some idiots tried to circle that wagon with the Bills saying that Buffalo Bill was a racist and we should change the name. WFT/WTF

Moulds was a great WR. I don't know about comparing Davis to Moulds though. What exactly about Davis do you compare to Moulds? The height? Not trying to be a smart ass and hope you don't take it that way. Seriously wondering because I honestly don't see it myself.

Height, strength, solid hands. Ability to make contested and tough catches.

Moulds was more of a deep threat, but Davis seems to thrive on those 30yd rockets over the middle and the sideline toe-tap They played with radically different QB's which is surely to affect the way they are used. But with his body. type, confidence and demeanor I can see why the OP made the comparison and I agreed.

Davis reminds me of Moulds a little bit. Never going to wow you with pure speed, but has everything else and somehow manages to get leverage or behind DBs

Great comp. He does have the Moulds like ability. Can you imagine Moulds as our #2. I get excited about the Diggs/Davis/Beasley/Sanders group.

I think in 2024/25 Gabe may be our #1.  As long as Diggs is here, and I hope its a long time, Davis is our #2.

But what I love the most is the McDermott never numbers these guys. It's all about the team as a whole. LOVE IT!!!

    They happen every year.

I didn't see this as its own thread, and I thought it deserved one. Who are your surprise cuts, and your surprise guys to make the 53?

One caveat: I think it's going to take a couple days after Tuesday for everything to come out in the wash, vis a vis IR, waivers, etc. For those posters who really follow the rest of the league, please include other team's cast-offs in your predictions, if you have any.

    I'll start, Surprise Cut:

I've said for a while that I think Addison will be a surprise cut. I know they value him, and I know he's currently listed as a starter. But, especially when one considers the future (as Beane most certainly does), Hughes, Epenesa, Rousseau, Basham, Obada, and Johnson all provide more long-term value.

    Surprise 53:

(Get ready to flame) Nate Becker. That's right, Nate Becker. Honestly, this would surprise me as well. But, consider: They've held onto him on the PS for two years, and signed him to futures contracts at the end of the '19, and '20 seasons. They've been developing him since they acquired him in '19. IMO, like Ike Boettger, I think they take these developmental guys seriously, and I also think they look at the time they put into their development on the PS as an investment. Obviously, he's been traveling well under the radar, and nobody has been talking about him (and to be fair, no one has been asking about him, either). I think this may be his year. If not now, maybe later in the season.

    So, who do you got?

Becker has surprised and if the keep 4TE's, I think he makes it. If we go deeper at other positions and only keep 3, then Sweeney may get the nod. Either way, I think the other lands on the PS.

Addison, I can't see as a cut. He is a trade candidate for a day 3 pick. Beane is too smart to get nothing in return from a position of strength.  I think it may be the same with Cody Ford.  My surprise cut would be Wildgoose or Cam Lewis.
