Apparently from twitter he'll play SZ, last year played FS.

Makes perfect sense cause he'll be playing way more in the box and suits his style. Idk ,I'm a fan of the move. How many personal fouls? 2?

He had a few close ones uncalled, and I think I remember him smoking his own teammate twice. He reminds me of Sandejo where he launches himself like a rocket when he hits. For his snap count, it was noticeable. Maybe McDermott can rein him in.

why? Thought he brought a great intensity back there that McD loved

I don’t think he was great in pass coverage, and was a walking personal foul.

If the contract is actually full of incentives and the guaranteed money is more like a backup then it’s fine. But I’m hoping he at least has serious competition from another FA or draft pick for the starting role.

  3. I kind of wonder if this is slightly a favor to Bates. He’s good enough to start and he’s stuck on the bench here.

I think this guarantees Morse is returning for another year.

Von and Greg are the only DEs currently under contract correct? And Von is basically a traffic cone at this point.

It's the one position outside of WR that makes sense in round 1. I hate it, so much, but id get it.

If they do go de in round 1 I'd hope they make a move up for a WR in rd 2.

Hey…we still have Kingsley Jonathan under contract…

  5. I think they let pretty much anybody write for MSN. It’s a half step above Bleacher Report.

That being said…wouldn’t surprise me if they took an EDGE at the end of the first depending on how things shake out.

Came here to post just this.

Meanwhile we're over here with post-injury Tre and 30 year old Douglas, acting afraid to do anything with either of them.

I think Beane has done okay on getting value in our second contracts with players, which is what KC has failed to do here. I’m not sure what your point is.

And you're just assuming he's guilty.  Sounds like there's a lot more to this story than typical assault on a woman.  Easy to for her to use his reputation against him too.  Normally I wouldn't defend him but as someone else pointed out a tic Tok influencer bringing a lawsuit sounds a bit too convenient

I've never broken a woman's leg. Why is Hill frequently in scenarios like this? He's not a good person.

  8. Gabe had some flashes of ability, but he wasn’t on the same page as Allen at a way higher rate than any of our other pass catchers.

The most recent example I can think of was our last game against the Dolphins where there was a cover zero blitz in the red zone. Allen threw to a spot he thought Gabe would be and Gabe cut in making it an easy pick for the CB.

Like a lot of these, it’s hard to know if it’s on Allen or Davis, but why does it happen so much with them?

  9. I think he’ll get 2 years $60-70m somewhere. He’s carved out a niche as an ideal bridge QB for a team that is looking to draft a rookie this year or next year and let them sit. Pats would be a good fit. Commanders maybe if they aren’t sold on Howell. Raiders possibly as well.

He can get you to the playoffs, and even elevate his play when the game is on the line and you need to push the ball down the field.

Any team with a franchise level QB that got injured had worse injury luck than the Bills. At least in terms of impact on their team’s ability to win games. Would anyone here trade getting back every injured player we had for losing Allen? I sure wouldn’t.

Just in the AFC, the Jets (Rodgers), Cincy (Burrow) and Browns (Watson, Chubb, top 4 OTs, etc) all had worse luck than the Bills.

I would say the Jags (Lawrence) were also very unlucky. They were basically a lock for a playoff spot and fell off a cliff after the golden boy got a high ankle sprain.

Looking at the NFC, Minny (Cousins) was super unlucky. I think he might have been MVP if he had stayed healthy. He was leading in all major passing categories when he went down.

    Agreed about benford.

Tre would scare me at safety though. Historically he is a horrible tackler. Not ideal for what you need to have in a safety haha

I think horrible tackler is an exaggeration. I would say average tackler for a CB, and pretty much on par with Hyde.

Hyde wasn’t exactly a stalwart in the running game. He mostly just cleaned up guys by tackling them low if they got to the second level.

  12. 2023 - Bad luck. It was actually kind of amazing the game was as close as it ended up being considering all of our starting CB and LBers were out or severely limited.
2022 - Bad luck partially. Offensive play calling partially. Allen with the partially torn UCL. Von Miller and White out and limited but sucking up a lot of cap space. Plus all the other BS that happened that season.
2021 - Coaching 100%. Really no other explanation.
2020 - Chiefs were just better than us.
2019 - Coaching a bit. Offense and defense underperformed a bit based on the regular season.

So I guess I'd say 30% bad luck, 40% coaching, 30% just not being as good as the other team.

Agreed. It’s to a point that it’s obvious he’s undermining the team. The plan was always to move on from him next off-season, but things have changed. It’s gonna hurt if it happens, but it’s time.

Additional unpopular opinion: if the Bills trade Diggs this off-season, they won’t get nearly what most fans think they will.

Does anybody really think we’ll get a haul for Diggs? He has a big cap hit, and he played more like an inconsistent WR2 the last 10 games of the season. It’s a lot of risk for the acquiring team. What if he continues to decline further next season?

Of course there is the upside he is back to his regular top-5 self, but it’s a risk.
