  1. So much for the posters privately wishing McDermott is on the hot seat. These guys should be forever grateful to Josh Allen, he’s earned them a lot of dough.
  2. Saying it is a long shot is just pessimistic. We were #4 in defensive DVOA last year without Hyde, Miller missing time, Oliver gimpy, Tre White basically missing the year, Poyer gimpy, Dane Jackson having his neck bent backwards, etc. Cam Lewis (who?) saw significant starting time. We might not be top 5 because a lot of randomness happens in football, but it isn't a long shot.
  3. I actually think we have some question marks on defense, that could end up being no big deal, but are still there nonetheless. - What will Von Miller be like post-ACL tear? - Will Tre White return to form? - How much will we miss Edmunds? - How effective will Hyde and Poyer be after injury-filled last season? - Will Elam take the next step and be a legit starter at CB2 (able to handle both man and zone)? - How will things be different with McDermott calling the plays? Might all be good, but definitely some risk for regression there.
  4. Only omission seems to be Tre White All Pro season
  5. In 2023, definitely Reid
  6. I have no issue rooting for basically the entire NFC North, especially the Lions. Especially with Rodgers gone now. 49ers also have a fun team right now.
  7. And Daboll got plenty of hate as well. Not sure what the point of this thread is. As for my reasons for not liking Dorsey last year: - Offense felt like Allen just running around improvising too much - Weak run game with the RBs. YPC was okay, but there was no confidence to run if we needed 2-3 yards for a first down. Even 1 yard seemed dicey on a critical down. - Lack of outlets to make things easier for Allen. Where is the screen game? What about some jet sweeps or misdirection to keep the defense guessing? - Lack of adjustment to the o-line being putrid. He doesn’t get to choose the players, but maybe don’t stick with slowly developing passing plays when the LG and RT are turnstiles? A general lack of adjustment was a theme. I’m fine with the vertical passing game, but if that isn’t clicking for a given game and you have nothing else, then you’re cooked (see: Bengals playoff loss).
  8. More intelligence just means more elaborate delusions
  9. I think Chad Hall left because he wants to be an OC and doesn’t see the opportunity here.
  10. I can’t remember the game, but Allen threw underneath to Cook across the middle, and Cook just stopped running his route, leading to an INT. I noticed Allen trusted Cook underneath a lot less after that.
  11. I mean…they are, right? NFL Network has advertisers even in the off-season. Individuals (show runners, social media people, on-air talent) have their job performance assessed based on the number of eye balls they draw in, even in the off season.
  12. It’s the off-season buddy. They need to get clicks.
  13. The last Madden I played a lot of was Madden 08 (with Vince Young on the cover). I loved the soundtrack, mini games and franchise mode. The new Madden games focus too much on realism, I prefer a more arcade-style gameplay. At any rate, pretty amazing for a Bill to be on the cover.
  14. I don’t think we can keep all the DE on the roster right? How many do we have, and how many can we keep? Epenesa, Boogie and Shaq must be sweating right now.
  15. I don’t understand this at all
  16. Sounds like the coach is calling him too dumb, which is kind of mean.
  17. If you look at his stats for last season, they actually aren't that bad for a slot receiver (probably middle of the road for the league). I think people get frustrated because it feels like he could have been even better, but never reached that next level. His stats were very similar to Dawson Knox for the year. 2022 Regular season stats: 42 receptions 65 targets 423 rec yards 10.1 rec avg 4 rec TDs 9 rushes 55 rush yards 6.1 ypc 1 rush TD He had a lot of games where he had 3 or less targets, which limited his counting stats. I'm not sure if it was Allen not trusting him, or Dorsey not including him in the game plan. He officially had no fumbles this past season, but I could have sworn he had a few on special teams that weren't lost.
  18. Miami fans say he was serviceable at RT and a disaster at LT. I think this is a legit challenger for Spencer Brown. Great teams have real camp battles.
  19. I don’t really see how this is Allen’s responsibility. He should focus on playing QB, and let management or other vets deal with the diva.
  20. Why would he be a problem in the locker room? I don’t think he’s been a problem in the locker room in the past. Even his recently-former Arizona teammates all seem to be wishing him luck (and this is with him potentially forcing himself off the team because they are tanking).
  21. You will never become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders with this attitude.
  22. They probably asked him what his favorite cuisine was
  23. Nobody wanted his cap hit. It’s possible the best move available for the Cardinals (if he is disgruntled and was going to be a big distraction this year) was to eat his cap hit this year when they weren’t going to be very good anyway and move on.
