If the Bills match last season I’d think it a minor miracle as the offense seems to be bottoming out now. I’m concerned about getting passed the likes of the Texans, Steelers and Browns, let alone the Ravens and 49ers.

Would Bucs at Panethers get the alternate team considering there is something riding on the game, whereas there isn't anything on Broncos at Raiders?

I know I keep saying it, but it's annoying because physically he is MVP. He's probably the most rounded football player to take to the field. But when it comes to the mental side of being a QB he struggles more often than not. He chases the buzz of the big play, he fails to read defenses too often, he fails to take easy plays which often results in a missed play. He has so much potential and, despite the stats, there is more to be tapped. I think it starts with a focused close season.

It is a Josh issue, but where players have issues it is down to coaches to help sort them out, unless they are simply not fixable. If so, no one - including Josh - will be able to do much about it.

I'm pretty sure the Bills would have beaten the Jags at OP. Annoying to think they may lose out on the play offs based on Goodell's experiment.

True. Though it could be argued the offense on that day allowed the Broncos to hang around. As they did in Foxborough, albeit the defense also made Mac Jones look like Dan Marino. Then there's the Jets in week one... I'd say the Bills beat themselves in every game they've lost this year excluding the Jags (happy to accept them having one further week in London to adjust was key) and the Eagles (that field goal was ridiculous).

The Ravens beat the 49ers because of Purdy's meltdown/their defense. Jackson did what he had to do. Would still say Hill or McCaffrey are more deserving of the accolade over the season as a whole.

Before this season I would agree, for the most part, but this year he's been more responsible for struggles than before - especially in the divisional games against the Pats plus the defeat to the Jets. That's the annoying thing. Physically he is the greatest in the world. I'd argue that against anyone trying to say otherwise. But there are too many missed reads and too many bad throws to say that side of the game matches up. Would I change him? No. Has he has issues this seaso? Definitely. In his defence, so has Mahomes and interestingly both have come about after a drop off in production from their number one receiver.

Haven't re-watched but on first look thought it was dreadful in the first half and ok in the second. Nowhere near where it should be considering Josh's undoubted physical attributes, though.

If Josh doesn't know why people are wondering what's wrong with him then he has little to no chance of winning a ring. Because he has major issues at the moment. Thankfully, I think he realises it.

Considering what has happened this season, I am confident the Bills would drive down the field in about 90 seconds and get at least three. I am also confident the defense would then allow the Dolphins to get what is needed within the remaining 30 seconds. I'd already seen this one coming. Booked next Monday off the moment the schedule came out. Had a feeling a lot would be riding on it so it'd get switched. Saying that, whilst I understand why it's Sunday night, I sort of expected it to get Saturday night. There's a possibility that the risk is lower on Sunday - if either the Steelers or Jags lose then the Bills have at least made the Play Offs before the game begins. Obviously, if both win then the jeopardy is upped a notch but, with one or two defeats, it will be lowered. Just hope either the Titans or Ravens can do us a favour.

Have to wonder if the timeout today - when the Bills went shotgun on 3rd (or was it 4th) and short, and McDermott then seemingly stopped play and asked for a change in call - is the moment he started wondering if Brady is the man. Everything on offense is a shambles at the moment, and has been for much of the season. The reason is surely deeper than one player or co-ordinator.

Would make more sense to give the Texans and Colts a full week, as it is all or nothing for both, whereas the Dolphins are in the Play Offs. Plus, if the Jags or Steelers lose, then the jeopardy isn't quite so great on the Bills. Play on Saturday and it's win or sweat it out through Sunday.

It'd make sense to have Bills-Dolphins on Saturday night, so it'd have an all-or-nothing vibe. By Sunday night, the Bills could be in whatever happens. Being five hours ahead, Happy New Year from the UK!

Being divisional rivals, they may fear the Steelers slightly more than they otherwise would. At the moment, they'd see the Bills as beatable. It's funny how we've been claiming the NFL has been becoming an offense league when, actually, so many teams have been relying on their defense to get themselves into this position.

In 2020 the Ravens rested their starters in the final week of regular season, came out flat and promptly lost to the Titans two weeks after. They won't want to repeat that trick. I think the starters will take some snaps, albeit perhaps only for a half. Far more likely, unfortunately, that the Browns will field back ups against the Bengals.

The Ravens would be AFC favourites, and rightly so.

The Bengals would be ahead of the Bills in the conference and the Bills would still have to win, otherwise the winner of Texans-Colts would leapfrog based on division/conference record. All it'd do is rule out the Steelers, but the issue would still be there.

Broncos would take it on divisional record (4-2 to 3-3).

Yes, if they win out and the Chiefs lose out.

That's the risk, from an opposition's point of view, with both of them. They can be bottoming out and having a nightmare yet both pull a magical play out of nowhere.
