Even with the back ups, not getting injured is more important than winning. Decent punt, though. But of course a flag goes the Steelers way.
-
Ha anyone want to block that guy?
-
I think the Ravens may be making an error in not learning from history, considering how turgid they came out before after the post season bye. Play the starters for a half to keep them ticking over, then bench. Would like to see some effort from their back ups, though.
-
Hope they get bounced like the last time they got the number one seed and rested everyone in week 17.
-
Of course.
-
Trouble is what other options did they have? Suppose they could have gone for Texans at Colts followed by Titans at Jags and focus purely on the AFC South. But other than Texans at Colts and Bills at Dolphins, no week 18 games really stand out as potential thrillers. If they moved Falcons at Saints earlier, a Falcons win would secure the Bucs the division without playing.
-
I think I might even want the Chiefs to beat the Ravens in the play offs after this pitiful performance from them.
-
Remember what the Ravens D did to the 49ers. And then they put in this display. It speaks volumes.
-
Considering the Bills were 5-5, we should be thankful we're not completely reliant on the Ravens and the Titans.
-
Think the Titans may have more of a chance to beat the Jags, as Vrabel loves playing spoiler and they have no other target. The Ravens are weakened and distracted.

The lead Sky presenter in the UK: Watching this coverage is like I've been in the pub for twelve hours. Can they clean the camera?
-
I get the rest but not this one. I assume it's on strength of schedule against the Jags?
-
Considering the relative mess this season has been, just being in is a start. And then it's a case of any given Sunday.
-
Still need either the Jags or Bills to lose to be in.
-
Agreed. It'd be nice to go in tomorrow knowing the Bills are in whatever happens. But then it'll be about fighting the number two slot.

The OTHER game nobody is talking about: Texans vs Colts

The Colts would risk a punt in that scenario. The Texans would not. A tie would suit the Colts as they already hold the tiebreaker over the Texans. -
Congrats to Pro Bowlers James Cook and Dion Dawkins!

I think I'm right in saying the Pro-Bowl vote opened after Week Ten, which was not Josh's highest point of the season. Can see why coaches, especially, may have taken a step away from him if they voted early. And Mahomes' decline has only really been over the past three weeks. -
Anyone else have a good feeling about the Titans vs. Jags?

Sounds familiar... -

42 TDs. 14 more than his nearest AFC rival. Yes, he's been inconsistent but what does that say for the rest? ETA - 13. I was looking at Tua rather than Russell Wilson. -

😂 I want to congratulate Cook and Dawkins on making the Pro Bowl but at the same time call it a load of… Number of TDs (AFC only): Josh 42, R Wilson 29, Jackson 29, Tua 28, Mahomes 27, Stroud 24 Number of TOs (AFC only): Josh 19, Lawrence 19, Mahomes 17, Tua 17, Minshew 14, Z Wilson 14, Jones 14 And this is admittedly with the offense looking shaky for much of the season. He isn’t deemed good enough for the Pro Bowl but Tua, with 14 less TDs and two fewer TOs, is the number one??? That’s before we even get on to Oliver… -

Have they changed it? Is it just one QB from each conference to the pro-bowl now as I thought it was three? If just the one I can fully understand why Jackson (presumably) has been picked ahead of Josh. If it is three, I think I’ll be unimpressed with whoever the other two are. Mahomes isn’t far behind in TOs and has fewer TDs and Tua is reliant on his receiving corps. Perhaps Stroud has got in because of the fairytale storyline they’ve placed on him, despite him looking a shadow of himself when he lost Dell. Completely agree with you and others about Oliver. I suppose Douglas’ issue is he joined the Bills mid season. Not sure how he’d performed for the Packers before then. -

Josh generally turns up in the 4th and puts the Bills in a winning position. Whether the defense can then hold on to that is a coin flip. Had they done so against the Pats and the Broncos (more on ST), had the Eagles kicker not managed a freak, he’d probably be right up there without doing anything differently. As you say, QB play has been pretty poor all round this year and, even trying to take my Bills tinted spectacles off, I can’t name two other QBs who have done more for their team in the AFC, Jackson aside. -
It’s division title or bust (updates on non-Bills games)
UKBillFan replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s not just the defeat but who the Bills lost to injury in London as well. Plus the inherent unfairness that the Jags had a week head start despite the game being designated as Bills at home. But the Ravens have lost more than one this year. So have the Dolphins. It’s a killer but there have been other dreadful defeats… arguably all of them but Philadelphia… which could now come back to haunt them. -

Score the most number of TDs as a QB… be an alternate. The turnover storyline has really done a number on Josh. Bet Mahomes has still made it, despite his count not being that much lower. Jackson is obvious. Who’s the third? Tua? -
Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME

Except… huge changes coming? I suppose he may just mean re-working the ageing roster.
