If there is a large narrative at play here (insurance company greed/claims denials; CEO about to testify in a lawsuit; UHC involved in hastening people's deaths during Covid, etc.) then 'assassination' makes sense in this context. Assassination is apparently the murder of a prominent person. Although most people didn't know the name of this CEO before the incident happened, I'd argue the wall-to-wall press coverage indicates this person was prominent enough (at least by position) to call this an assassination. Also the implications could be big. Just how the assassination of Franz Ferdinand touched off WWI, maybe this event will begin a grassroots "War Against The Health Insurance Companies." This guy's death has ignited the conversation on whether the "systemic deaths" brought about by the health care system/insurance companies (denied coverage/treatments and bankrupting families while CEOs seem to roll around in unimaginable wealth) are less meaningful than the CEO's. So people are asking why is THIS guy's death so important that it gets massive media coverage and a huge police response, while the average person dies quietly because their treatment would be 'out of network' or 'not covered' etc.
