you can have whatever opinion you want about Jackson - I don’t think he’s any sort of world beater either. That opinion means less than nothing. You’re ignoring the basic economics of the NFL. LJ is considered a proven commodity at this point and QBs like that get paid, period. We’ll circle back once that deal gets done since you called me crazy and you can apologize chief.

I hope you're correct. Lamar Jackson's style of play (essentially a running back) doesn't translate into longevity.

Apparently he has satisfactory WRs this year so I'm looking forward to Raven fans' excuses next offseason.

As in Toronto leaves Stanley Cup hopes unrealized yet again. 😇

Also easier now to spot supermarket security staff.  Much easier to 'eat a W' now.

You don't know how much pleasure I take from their yearly first round failure. That one series against Boston where they were leading by like 3 goals late in the third period in game 7 and still lost was just amazing. The tears I collected on that day sustain me to this day.

Not sure what you think my comment was advocating here. I didn’t post that link to the tweet. I think it’s common knowledge that most daily reports coming out of camps this time of year are slanted toward local coverage (and optimism). With the exception of a few national stops and reports sprinkled in. The guy who tweeted thinks Trey Smith is doing well. Whether that’s true or not will eventually be proven out, but at this time it’s all us opposing fans have to go on. If it’s true, it’s another solid offseason gain to their revamped oline that frankly we (or any other team trying to close the gap on the Chiefs) don’t need to see. 🤷‍♂️

I think it was implying that biased journalist said biased thing -> biased thing likely true -> Chieves improve yet again -> goddamn it

When Allen got drafted all of the "experts" said he had the most talent/potential but he also could benefit by sitting for a year. But the Bills ****ed up their QB situation so bad with Peterman/McCarron that Allen was thrown out there in a sink or swim type of situation.  Considering the offensive talent around him he did about as well as could be expected.

I was listening to Peyton Manning on PMT, and he was in a similar situation as Josh in his first year. He threw like 20 INTs and said he's grateful he was allowed to play out the year, warts and all, because he believes it helped to shape him as a QB. I don't think it's black and white when it comes to raw prospects. It depends on their mental fortitude and that is an area in which Josh is very strong.

You and @mannc are both wrong.........the Bills had a projected tough schedule going into the season and they ended up playing the most regular season games against playoff teams of any team in the NFL.

The Bills did not play the most games against playoff teams. They played 5.

    Steelers, Rams, Seahawks, Titans, Chiefs.

The Browns played 7 games against playoff teams. The Steelers played 8. The Colts played 7. I don't know where that narrative came from.

Always helps to be prepared for when Ertz gets dropped by Philly....

    I'm kidding, I'm kidding!

    But not really. 🤪

I honestly don't think he's going to get dropped. The Iggles are going to pay him 8.5 million to be a backup on a team he wants to leave simply out of spite. Bizarre. When all the "Ertz to Buffalo" tornadoes were swirling around, I'm sure he was excited to get to play for a real contender with a MVP caliber QB as the TE1. Now he gets to play TE2 on a crap team with a crap QB who probably gets replaced by Joe Flacco by week 5.

Oh good. Just what us Bills fans like to see - Chiefs improving by hitting on their late round draft picks.

Yeah, good point. Biased blue checks on twitter who cover a certain team saying a player on a certain team facing members of his own team in a light setting is totally legit. Take that to the bank.

On that note, we should really be worried about Trubisky taking Allen's job. He's looked really good in practice.

Anything said by any of these reporters, including for the Bills, is just fluff. It is meaningless. Efe Obada is probably not going to end up as our best edge because of a couple good practices. Matt Breida isn't going to become RB1 because of a couple good practices.

I now want Trey Smith to fail spectacularly. I feel bad for wanting this. I shouldn't want this. Yet here we are. I hope Zerovoltzzz the BBQ heretic is happy.

interesting  ... yet all i see around here is oh the bills have Allen so they will beat said team. ... or KC has Mahomes they will beat said team.

in this era the team doesnt matter to the average fan they think the QBs are the team.  all you see is Sam Darnold sucks even tho rodgers or allen or mahomes wasnt taking that Jets team last year to the playoffs.

See Watson in Houston a consensus top 5 QB yet won 4 games last year.

    Thanks for proving my point?

I largely agree, but would counter with the “high end talent” vs “deep roster” argument.

To me, that is the only real debate.  Do we have enough difference makers to beat the Chiefs?

Certainly there’s a bunch of guys who could join the ranks of Allen, Diggs and White on this team.

We won’t know that until the season starts to play out though.

Our DL is better this year and the Chieves are starting two rookies on the OL. Trey Smith will prove to not be the steal of the draft. We'll have healthy Milano hopefully all year and I think Epenesa will be a monster. Plus Star will help control the run game.

I'm not using the AFCCG as a barometer for anything when literally the entire receiving corps was suffering from non-insignificant injuries. The defense was on the field a lot and looked gassed. I am looking forward to the rematch.

In Jets news, they put on pads and somehow their offensive line did much, much worse than without pads. Bad day for their O in general because of the pressure.

I don't get it. If your team sucks and either your D or your O has "a good day" why does it matter? Looking good against the Jets offense doesn't really mean anything. Garbage doesn't sharpen garbage.

Im interested in what everyone considers  more successfull  for a QB ?      what would you rather have Qbs such as lamar, Cam newton, aaron rodgers who have lit up the regular seasons have MVP's under their belt but 1 superbowl win combined with a 16-16 combined record in the playoffs.  or Qbs like joe flacco , eli manning who put up OK numbers in the regular season  NO  MVPs but have 3 super bowls combined and 18-9 combined record in the playoffs?

Yeah, I'm sure that the Giants and Ravens having amazing defenses in that time period had absolutely nothing to do with their wins. Attributing wins and SBs to QBs is so silly. I have no idea why people keep doing it.

Anyone who would take Flacco or Manning over Rodgers is a complete dunce.

You know a guy is good when the only comebacks are "yeah but his voice sucks...amirite?"

You're right, this thread should be full of people talking about how bad a potential historically successful QB is.

I will begin. Patrick Mahomes sucks because he only throws it to Tyreek Hill.

  13. 5 hours ago, Stank_Nasty said:

I gotta wonder how Chiefs fans are handling these comments. They literally cannot stand if any qb’s are ever mentioned in some sort of similar breath as mahomes. Are they gonna turn on their own QB for his comments and tell him how stupid he is for having the audacity to compare any qb’s to himself?

Well, they are very upset with the guy who simply posted that Mahomes was throwing INTs to LBs. Literally guy is just taking what happened and putting it into words, and some demand that he retires, or say that he posts Mahomes throwing interceptions too often.

Never seen anything like the dolts in KC.

Josh Allen 88 overall. That seems nice until you see there are like 6 QB's ahead of him, including Lamar at 91.

They're getting better taking the Bills seriously but have a little way to go.

The Bills have a bunch of guys who are good but get little recognition, also. Jerry Hughes is still very good, Matt Milano never seems to get the accolades he deserves, and of course Poyer and Hyde are criminally underrated year after year.

Also, AZ is going to finish last in their division. How does Madden have them as the best? Clearly LAR are at the top.

Would love a good Vet TE on the roster.. just saying.. also saying no way in hell I would give up more than a 5th and take that contract.

Howie Roseman is such a stubborn idiot that he currently plans to roster and pay his backup TE 8.5 million dollars just because no one wanted to give up significant assets for him. I know I shouldn't rag on a fanbase for being hopeful, but I think Bills fans know what it's like to go into a season with an obviously crappy QB. Eagles fans honestly think they are about to make some noise with freaking Jalen Hurts at the helm lol.

Lol.  No one in KC cares about slaw.  Most BBQ places here don’t serve it.  A rare few do make a Carolina style pork and slaw sandwich.

How the hell do you not care about slaw?! What do you eat with ribs?!

    This is heresy

Cool thread.  Reminds me of what happens when you poll Kansas City folks about the best BBQ in town.  You get this same type of debate.

Anyhow...I really enjoy "wings" but I've never been anywhere near western NY/Buffalo and just like I am a Kc BBQ snob...I am sure whatever wings I've had in KC or Dallas/Ft Worth (where I live now) are not on par with the real thing from the region and the people who know them the best.

    So....couple quesitons.

Does anyone know where I could find some good wings here in the DFW area?

and 2....reading through this and see alot of mentions about Bleu Cheese dressing....never seen any place serve that with wings..it's always been ranch.  As I read through this...I thought how until a couple weeks ago I didn't like Bleu Cheese dressing......but that's becasue I think I've been duped by people serving me ranch and telling me it's Bleu Cheese.  I had a wedge salad at a high end steak place down here a couple weeks ago, that came with Bleu Cheese....when I saw it, I was horrified thinking I'd wasted my money ordering it...covered with crumbles etc...but I took a bite and my god....it was incredibly deliecious!  Must have been the real thing I got this time and crappy ranch so many other times.  so, I can understand about some of the stories here about that....

Anyhow....good place for DFW wings...I'd love to get a taste of the good stuff if I can around these parts.  THANKS.

KC BBQ is probably my favourite style but the really important question is...what's the dominant slaw in KC? Sweet and sour or creamy?
