  1. There's a fair number of crummy teams that would be out of the QB derby - Detroit, Oakland, KC, Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and the Jets. A top-10 pick should give us a decent shot at a top QB, which would be required if we're sh------- enough to be in the top ten.
  2. Pats show blitz, causing Evans to switch to a hot route over the middle, but the blitz fails to materialize. Bell misses a block, and hits Edwards as he throws towards Evans, now covered, causing a wobbly pass to be intercepted by Jerod Mayo.
  3. There's gotta be a compromise somewhere for the next CBA. Here's a proposal: a.) When a player gets cut, he's due not the balance of his contract, but all salary and likely-to-be-earned incentives for the next 365 days. This money counts against the cap as it would if he were on the roster, but is defrayed by any amount of money the player earns with another team. b.) No contact may be renegotiated until the last year of its term, and any on August 1st, any player who has not reported to his team is ineligible to play for that season, and will not be paid for the year. This includes rookies, who will re-enter the draft, though their teams will not be compensated.
  4. 1.) Leodis McKelvin 2.) Eleanor Clift 3.) Johan Santana 4.) Because our wives will offer sex in order to get us to stop crying after the Bills-Pats game. 5.) 11 Bonus question: On a scale of 0 to 10—with 0 representing zero possibility and 10 representing metaphysical certitude, will Dick Jauron survive the season?
  5. The moves aren't bad moves as such; the problem is that they're completely reactionary to a terrible preseason when they should have been anticipated by our crummy 2008. As such, we didn't have time to find a real OC (hopefully, AVP will work out) and we're taking a huge risk on Demetrius Bell. It shatters the remaining hope that the front office knew what it was doing, and we had to give them credit. They're flailing around here, and they've got almost no chance to succeed.
  6. If I'm not mistaken, none of Marv's UFA acquisitions are with the team right now. And barely any of them are in the league.
  7. I think Bill Belichick is only going to start 10 players on defense next week. See if it works out about the same.
  8. Note #83 Lee Evans, #89 Shawn Nelson, and #56 Keith Ellison, for starters.

  10. If the Steelers win the Super Bowl this year, do they dethrone the Patriots as the top team of the 00s?
  11. I hope that Brohm found that quest to be worth the $20M he gave up to pursue it.
  12. You really can't possibly be as dense as you act on the Internet.
  13. He was a consensus top ten pick for a little while, chose to go back to school, spent a few months as a #1 overall prospect, then had a rough senior year and fell to the second round. Brian Brohm, welcome to the practice squad.
  14. Good lord, this means that the Patriots will have the #1 pick in 2011, doesn't it?
  15. Wait, so you were content with our offense last year?
  16. The Bills also plan to use McIntyre at RB to some extent, at least, if it become necessary.
  17. Turk Schonert, Dominic Rhodes, and Kirk Chambers were not the three men that kept the Bills clinging to any sort of respectability.
  18. Have you heard anything from Kelsay's agent or Denney's regarding a possible cut today?
  19. Are you sure?
  20. Man, it would suck to be a play away from winning a playoff game most years. I'm glad we have Jauron instead of Philips.
  21. There's really no point in keeping Kelsay and Denney, and really, Denney is only slightly worse while being half the price
  22. All I can say is: why did we hire him to be the offensive coordinator if he didn't get along with the chosen QB? Did their relationship just deteriorate since before the Detroit game?
  23. The key difference is that all of Lumbergh's employees hate him, where the players all love Jauron.
  24. So we have no offensive coordinator AND no GM?
  25. I think Russ Brandon is actually doing a good job, but can't get the old man's permission to fire Jauron.
