Would be great.  Certainly would vault the UB program a couple notches and would make the Big 10 realistic.

Downtown is not really feasible.  The studies have shown that which is why there is zero momentum or chatter pointing downtown.

Anyone who has been to a sold out Sabres game or concert that people didn't leave early can attest.  Especially as you park closer to the arena, compounded if you park in a ramp.  The streets are too narrow, lots of one-way, some dead ends, and virtually no egress to the south, and limited to the west.  You have to crawl your way through a grid of gridlocked streets to reach the 190.  Triple the crowd, even double... ugh.

I don't know the exact layout over there at ub/Amherst, but it sounds like there could be some options and some space.  You have the 990, 290, and even millersport and Sheridan to move people.  You're starting from scratch though for land acquisition, parking space, and all that.

The only way SUNY Buffalo is getting to the Big 10 is if they are bought for a game in football. They can’t even fill their ugly track stadium with 25,000 people. It would be embarrassing for them to try to play at our new stadium. Now look at the Big 10’s attendance and football budgets. A couple trips to the Cheez It bowl aren’t going to sway the AAC, let alone the Big 10. My God some people are delusional.

At the cap Feliciano re-signed for, who do you suggest they should have gotten?

We should have drafted someone. Probably could have found someone better for the 5 million we spent on him too, even if it was at a different position. Feliciano isn’t worth a thing. Fake toughness doesn’t make a good blocker. One of the most overrated players I have ever seen.

  3. One thing I forgot how much I hated after a year of not being able to go to games is the awful drum line. They have had the same routine ever since they started, and it’s just not something that is enjoyable to listen to. I don’t hear any fans ever getting excited when they come out. I don’t even want the Jills back, the drum line just needs to go.

I saw nothing to dissuade my opinion that the weakest link on this team is Edmunds.  He may not be the worst player on the defense but because his position is so critical his flaws are more problematic.

I'm going into game 1 with an open mind and I hope he plays up to his potential.

Looked the exact same as last year today. Made a few tackles 5 yards downfield, got manhandled a few times, got lost a few times. Don’t understand why anyone wants to sign him to a pricey extension.

  5. Doyle is a prime candidate. Doesn’t look ready to play and got an injury today. We could look to sign another tackle instead of him (Hopefully not just keeping Bobby Hart). Could see Stevenson or Hodgins too, maybe a guy like Wildgoose too if they are worried he could get claimed.

FYI, there’s a boatload of UB alum in the League these days.

How many of them actually are established and will make their teams? Mack, Means, Koonce, and who else? The “boatload” of alums is mostly practice squad guys. Maybe Tyree Jackson makes the Eagles. Trapasso is a major UB homer. How has Anthony Johnson, his 61st ranked player in 2019, done in the league? UB is a decent MAC school, let’s not act like they are a powerhouse because they have players on preseason rosters.

Article talks about a potential future for him in WWE, but also included this:

“So many great organizations and teams have reached out. A scout from the Bills, there is a connection with the Ravens. The Olympic gold medal is helping me see the world, so my next step is going to be a big decision. I’m going to decompress now and think about it.”

McDermott must be licking his chops. Gold medalist wrestler? He would love that.

You are totally right about Matakevich. I forgot about the Bills extending him. He is a lock. Based on Farwell comments today, Gilliam and Bam Johnson may also be locks for the roster based on ST prowess.

How many special teams only players do we need? Including the 3 specialists (obviously) and Matakevich, if we keep those two we will have 6 special teams only players on the team. And that doesn't even consider Taiwan Jones and Andre Smith, who are also likely to make the roster, putting us at 8. We don't need 5 guys who can't actually play their listed positions. Johnson making the roster over someone like Obada or Zimmer would be a big mistake. Johnson has shown next to nothing as a defensive end.

Bro…please stop it. Cole is probably one of the least racist players in the league. Obviously what he said may be offensive to some but racism must have intent behind it. He didn’t mean it like that.

What was the intention of saying it then? Saying that Hughes only supports a minority when he is in it is pretty racist, I don’t know how it could be seen otherwise.

    “As racist as it gets”

Do you wish to rephrase, or is that what you’re sticking with?

That’s racist. How can you compare being unvaccinated to what minorities face? So saying that Hughes doesn’t care about the minority now isn’t racist?
