Based on past threads, I am expecting the replies to argue which rounds the O-linemans were drafted. Any takers? JSP?

Exactly, tampa 2 doesn't need 350 cloggers.
The DTs in Bucs depth chart are McFarland (6-0, 300), Hovan (6-2, 296), Bradley (6-0, 301), and Wyms (6-3, 290).
Bears: Harris (6-3, 300), I.Scott (6-3, 302), T.Johnson (6-3, 300), and Boone (6-4, 318).
Colts: Simon (6-2, 293), Reagor (6-3, 285), Reid (6-2, 288), and Williams (6-3, 285).
Among the three, only Bears drafted a DT this year, Dvoracek (6-3, 298).
Thus, stop worrying about our DTs' sizes. We're fine.

Turley must run out of the weeds and need Ricky's help, or Marcus'.

In a Hollywood bombshell with a Sin City twist, Paris Hilton and Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart went public Tuesday with their romance in Las Vegas.

Dodge? this is the first time you ask. Nice try.
See, you tried to change the topic again. The whole discussion is about a good safety can make pass defense better and you brought up Clements and McGee. Did you watch any Bills game? Don't you know none of them plays safety?
-
You still haven't answered the impact of Harrison on Pats 2004 and 2005 pass defenses.
It's pretty smart to keep avoiding the question you can't answer.
Don't try to shift the focus to only 2005 pass defense or try to compare Bills and Pats defenses. The point is the difference between Pats 2004 and 2005 pass defenses. And the difference is Harrison, not "street FA and 4th stringers".
This proves your 'anyboy' theory is totally wrong.

How cool, I have a stalker!
stalker?? you think too much. It's not too hard to notice your inconsistent statements just few posts apart.
This is entirely consistent, oh brilliant one. hThey indeed plugged ANYONE and just about EVERYONE into that defensive backfield last season, and had a defense good enough to make it to the secondround of the playoffs. Nice, huh? Their DTs and DEs not to mention solid linebacking more than made up for a pretty talent-less secondary.
Marv seems hell-bent on building a defense in a reverse fashion, stocking the backfield and hoping for production up front. History shows that approach isn't usually successful.
And as far as Harrison, did he even PLAY last year? ddin't he get hurt in week 2 or 3?
And you happened to think Harrison's injury has nothing to do with their pass defense?
Show you the numbers again:
2004 Patriots pass defense (with Harrison): 212.5 yds/game, 18 TDs against, 20 picks
2005 Patriots pass defense (without Harrison): 231.4 yds/game, 25 TDs against, 10 picks
What's the same in their defenses in 2004 and 2005? The "street FA and 4th stringers" you referred.
Wahts' the difference? Harrison.
Get the point.
and be consistent.

"2004 Patriots pass defense: 212.5 yds/game, 18 TDs against, 20 picks
2005 Patriots pass defense: 231.4 yds/game, 25 TDs against, 10 picks"
And yet they did this with street FAs and 4th stringers. We'd all be jumping for joy if the bills were defending the pass like that. So now you're gonna tell me it was their DB talent that produced numbers like that?
And I was responding to YOUR reference to the fact that the Squeelers have the best SS in the game.
Blown out of the water my ass. NEXT!
Since when street FAs and 4th stringers are not qualified for "anyone"??
If you couldn't be consistent in your statements, you don't deserve any credibility. Let alone question others'.
You said:
"with a solid D front, you can plug just about anyone back in the defensive backfield and experience success."
And then eat your own words:
"And yet they did this with street FAs and 4th stringers."
Be consistent.
Did you ever respond to the impact of Harrison on 2004 and 2005 Pats teams? What a nice way to avoid the question you couldn't answer.

I didn't see your thread and post the same topic one minute after yours.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2429172
Because of an NFL-NCAA agreement, a college player cannot take part in NFL spring workouts until his college has had its graduation. Because many schools hold graduation in early May, most NFL draft picks are not affected.
But Holmes can't begin practicing until after the university's mid-June graduation. By then, the Steelers will have finished the 14 days of coaching sessions that follow their May 13-15 mini-camp, which Holmes is permitted to attend.
When is Bills mini camp? It seems like Whitner and Youboty may also miss it. Hope I'm wrong.

So he gives the Bills high and low marks for taking Whitner?
I can't decide if he's a retard for contradicting himself in the same write-up, or a genius for covering all his bases.
Isn't he the writer who spread the rumor of Bills shopping JP? He has lost all his credibility since then.

I knew you'd pounce on that. But this team has holes across the board and is in no position to target specific positions in this draft. If this is New England or Pittsburgh we are talking about, then I would agree. But this is a team in rebuilding mode and needs to stockpile as much young talent as possible on both sides of the ball.
We have holes, some are big holes and some are small. Most people think OT/DT/S are big ones and DE/LB are small ones.
Our DE/LB are not big needs compared to OT/DT/S. Using a 1st round to draft a DE or LB doesn't help our team as much as draft a OT/DT/S, unless the player is Mario or Hawk.
-
DE and LB aren't needs? What are you smoking?
Who plays opposite Aaron Shobel? Kelsey is good, but a strong DE like Tamba Hali would have a major impact on the Bills' pass rush and a 3-man rotation at the Defensive End position would do us a lot of good. At linebacker, we have London Fletcher entering the final year of his contract and Spikes coming off a huge injury.
Who said DB and LE aren't needs? Read the post again. Is it so hard to read the whole sentence?
"DE and LE are not the most important needs (S, OT, DT) of our team"

Better than Whitner would have been:
Moving down in the first and picking up an extra 2nd or a 3rd and have a slight chance at nabbing Whitner with a later pick. If he's gone, grab Tamba Hali or Greenway, or Lawson all three of which could step in and help this team right away. In doing so you acquire an extra pick AND you save a ton of money.
The way TD turned the 13 overall pick into Nate Clements and Travis Henry is a perfect illustration of this concept.
I'm convinced that Whinter would be gone after trading down. You can NOT be sure Whitner would be available several picks later and need to realize that Marv & Co didn't want to risk losing the player they like.
DE and LE are not the most important needs (S, OT, DT) of our team. If Marv has done this, you all would have criticised his decision the way you criticise Whitner. You may also include "quantity over quality??", "ignore team's need", and "waste a 1st round on a possible backup" in your statements.
In short, no matter what Marv did, it wouldn't satisfy all the fans. Some fans will always find things to criticise and believe they know more football than NFL GMs, coaches, and scouts.
Dolphins Getting Desperate

Damn, I was hoping Marcus could be the new distraction of Dolphins and also tutored by Ricky.
