Why does TD write articles for Foxsports.com during his free time at ATL?

Welcome you to the world of respecting others. Hope you can learn to respect different opinions during your stay.

When you started to call other people 'Tard', you already lost credibility of your statements.
If you didn't agree with others, you can state your views. Remember, making personal attacks doesn't make you right, it actually makes you look bad.

He can potentially earn more. He earns more this year ($10M vs. $8M), and the total contract value is $25M vs. $20 million he would have received from the Eagles...
On paper, TO will get more money in next three seasons. However, he may not see the last year of his current contract. TO will be 35 years old then and Cowboys can cut him with minimal cap penalty to save 7M cap space.
I believe in TO's old contract with Eagles, Eagles will be forced to keep him one more year because of the high cap penalty. I may be wrong though.

Don Banks SI.com
At least Banks feels that 5 other teams are more deserving of the 5 biggest losers so far. His losers:
1. Patsies
2. Dolfelons
3. San Diego
4. Washington
5. Steelers
Interesting note on Miami: Cleo Lemon is the only other QB that they currently have in addition to the rehabbing Dante Culpepper. I wouldn't mind if the Bills ended up facing Lemon next season.
How come Colts not in the list of the top 5 losers?
They did re-sign Wayne and Brock, but they didn't have any significant FA signings. Colts also lost James, Thorton, and Tripplet in free agency. (Vanderjagt won't come back either).

Different QB's have different styles. You would bring in another Journeyman QB who has the same style as the starter so if the starter goes down, the backup can come in and the same playbook can be used.
Holcomb and Losman were 2 different styles of QB and that means the Bills would need to have plays for Holcomb to run and JP to run to suit their styles. Thats why one would do well in a game while the other would struggle.
My question is why waste cap space to find a backup QB who plays like JP now. We have so many holes, especially on O-line, and we don't have many cap room left (6-8 million?)
We are not going to be a contender in near future and will get a better idea of JP's ability next season. Why not address a QB problem like this next offseason? JP may not even be our starter then.

If Holcomb is the odd man out, I would atleast like to see them bring in another journeyman backup just in case.
It doesn't make sense to cut Holcomb and bring in another journey QB.
Cutting Holcomb basically saves nothing in cap and it'll waste extra cap space to sign another quarterback. Why not just keep Holcomb in this case?

I can Patrick Ramsey is gun shy. He has a tendancy to hold the ball way to long.
Ramsey might have a big time arm, but he doesn't have it.
This sounds like our old QB, who didn't do well without an offensive line.
We still don' t have an O-line and need to address that first.

Dallas must then pay Owens a roster bonus of $3 million in March 2007 to retain him for that season, at a base salary of $5 million. There is another roster bonus of $3 million due in March 2008, and Owens has a base salary of $4 million for that year.
I doubt Owens can see the last year of this contract. He will count about 10.2 million against Cowboys' cap on 2008. It's too high for a 35 years old wide receiver. Besides, Cowboys can save 7 miillion cap room by cutting Owens before 2008 season.

How is this different to the original statement " trading a 1st, 2nd, and 5th round pick to the Cowboys and drafting JP Losman"?
Bills got JP Losman (#22 pick, 2004)
Cowboys got 1st (2005), 2nd (2004), and 5th (2004) round picks.

??? Explain yourself, please. Damione Lewis is the only name I listed who is now signed (right?), and he signed after I posted.
Hey, I can't help it if Levy doesn't stick to his word at the dinner table. Maybe his judgement becomes clouded after a few rounds of free garlic biscuits?
And why Levy signed three players who weren't mentioned in your list? Does he not like you and not want to tell you his real plan?

my 2 cents:
Randy Moss - The assumption is the players are healthy. Moss and Walker both have attitude problems (Remember the feud between Favre and Walker last season?)
Hines Ward - 30 years old do-it-all Ward vs. 27 years old Walker with attitude problems, I'll take Ward
Roy Williams - 24 years old, His QB is Joey Harrington. Walker has Favre.
Reggie Wayne - more consistent than Walker, who only had one good season.
Andre Johnson - 24 years old, best season: 1142 yds, 6 TD. His QB is David Carr and his team hasn't had a o-line for a long time.

Our free agency plan:
C Mike Flanagan (Packers, UFA)
RT Jon Runyan (Eagles, UFA)
DE Kalimba Edwards (Lions, UFA)
DT Damione Lewis (Rams, UFA)
SS - Tank Williams (Titans, UFA)
WR Eric Moulds (restructure)
CB Nate Clements (sign to long term deal)
LB Jeff Posey (snip!)
LG Bennie Anderson (snip!)
FB Daimon Shelton (snip!)
This plan allows us to plug all the roster holes BEFORE the draft, so we focus completely on the best player available strategy.
PS: I had the Cordon Bleu. Marv had the standard roast beefer.
Did you ask him why he signed Royal, Tripplet, and Davis? None of them is in his offseason plan.

for a 4-year deal, including a 3 million signing bonus.

These fans should ask Snyder to buy Washington Nationals so he can spend his money freely, maybe even challenging Yankees' payroll.

This will be a good news for us. It either means D'brick, Hawk, or Super Mario will be available at #8 or some teams may try to trade with us to pick Young or Cutler before Lions. We can also simply draft Ngata if Marv couldn't find any trade partner.

After the Hutchinson mess, Seahawks signed Nate Burleson today to a seven-year, $49 million offer sheet. Based on the merely 5+ million signing bonus, the last few years of this contract are probably bogus with very high salaries.
The contract has two 'poison pills' that make the whole contract guaranteed if Burleson plays certain number of games in state of Minnesota or earns more than the highest-paid running back.
In short, NFL needs to do something on these 'poison pills' or Marv needs to put some 'poison pills' next time when he signs a RFA.
