Awesome, let them build their fencing to clearly define their 'autonomous zone', then shut off the power, water and sewer connections. Since they're 'autonomous' and no longer part of our country, they certainly don't need outside assistance as a self-sustaining power.

They using American streets, American made goods, American money, and will be using American hospitals when something happens.

I have never seen something so childish yet hilarious in my life.  I didn't think people could be this mind numbing dumb.

The Autonomous Zone in Seattle is hilarious.

Three days in and they’re already starving, and are being brutalized by a self-ordained warlord.

    Three.  Days.

I was looking at some pics today and can't stop laughing.  It reminds me of a mix of 18-20 years old getting kicked out of parents house because they are drug addicts and kids selling lemonade on the side of the road.

    It's a glorified flee market.

I gave you credit for bringing up a good point about the helmet, but this is nonsense. A reasonable assumption can be made that you are law enforcement or know people in law enforcement or even know the officer in question with the lengths you are going to here. Blaming a twitter feed and that cops had the ability to know he said F the police, implying that saying F- the police somehow eliminates your equal treatment under law (violating your free speech) and invalidates what the police's supposed to "serve and protect" all citizens implies. And then you call out that this may be a set up? Sorry dude your credibility is shot in regards to this thread.

Not sure I'm looking for credibility.  I'm just showing other sides on what is out there in regards to the event.

There are two sides to every story.  I think when before the incident another protestor is literally saying the guy is here is looking to get his butt whooped, why does he have a helmet, he is here just for fun, and is looking just to get punched in the face, you start to question some things.  Then you go to his twitter feed and the whole thing is about people getting beat up by police.

Let's wait to pass judgement on these officers.  I think people calling it excessive force is ludicrous.

Did you not hear the very audible, and frankly quite haunting sound of his skull bouncing off the pavement?  Was that sound made artificially?  Part of the conspiracy?  Come on, dude...?

You mean the helmet he just happened to have in his hand hit the concrete ball next to him?  There are videos of people questioning why he was there with a helmet at 7:40.  Said he was there to have "fun"

Funny the picture the media wants painted and certain individuals out there.

The best video is the African American protestor questioning why the guy was there before at like 7:40.  It's like he knew something was up with the guy.

There are some twitter threads out there with thousands of people pulling up evidence that this may have been set up.  There are some clues that don't match up.

Just a lot of political activism stuff.  He doesn't seem to be a fan of Trump... or Biden... or Obama (at least he mentions how much he hates the ACA).

His F the police tweet should be in every newspaper, news report, and court document out there.  You can't say stuff like that, and then do what he did last night.  I would take it as a threat if I was an officer.

I stand corrected - good find!

btw none of this still condones the police behavior as being overly excessive, granted I'm not sure we know what was being said either. Still there was a lot of indifference by the police as he lie there not moving and starting to bleed.

His twitter profile won't do him any justice in court:

You seem like one of the guys who protested the curfew for wearing a mask and the gov't violating your rights there; sit down fellow bills fan

Watch this video.  That was his helmet and he was an issue before this.  Direct quote: "He is going to get punched in the face."

This seems pretty obvious. Sure hope that cops cam was on.

Not obvious at all.  Personally think he was using the helmet as a prop to get to the officers.  You can clearly see he approaches the officers and instead of handing them the helmet, he tells the one officer to stop moving with the hand that had his cell phone.

This guy is far from innocent.  I struggle to even say the officers used a violent force.  They barely touched the guy.

It looks to me like he found a police helmet and is returning it.

    That's just false.

At the time he was forced back, he was trying to stop the officers from moving forward.  So he can provide resistance, but the police can't even though there was an executive ordered curfew the old guy was not following?  Not to mention he was asking for the badges of the officers prior to the incident.  The guy was there to cause trouble.

Why can't people just follow rules?  I just can't comprehend it.

  11. Murphy and Tasker were a train wreck every time I tried to listen to the show.

Murphy is not up to date with what is happening enough, and Tasker is just clueless.  They spent more time arguing about stuff that wasn't even true.  Murphy would bring up some rumor from 5 days ago, Tasker would get all mad about something that isn't even happening, and Murphy would just turn into a grumpy old man.

Hap, isn't it also accurate to say that the 12-18 month timeline for completing a successful vaccine trial that's been touted since early on in this pandemic, would also represent the fastest overall such result ever? The article below references a more usual time frame of multiple years--granted, that probably doesn't account for the same type of world simultaneous pandemic urgency? Still, 18 months is being awfully optimistic that nothing at all goes off-script, right?

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/a-coronavirus-vaccine-in-18-months-experts-are-skeptical/ar-BB11Yzjh

That's just fear journalism that is everywhere during this pandemic.  Reporters get a high by causing fear.

In the USA, there will 100% be a vaccine by next summer.  I would put any amount of money on it.

There will be two weddings. The first is parents and priest only in a church to be recognized by the church. The second with priest, brides maids, best man, etc. They are among the small group of under 30’s who regularly go to church, teach Sunday school, etc. After the first, we’ll probably go out to dinner. After the second there will be a traditional reception.

I hate to say this, but part of the problem is that the sister making a stink tries to tell everyone how to live every aspect of their lives.  She thinks we should all be vegetarians (“that salmon you just ate was somebody’s mother!”) to what kind of dog to get (if your dog isn’t a labradoodle, you did it wrong). If she told me not to touch the hot stove, I’d be tempted to try it!

Another part is wanting something they’ve been looking forward to and planning for for a long time. They ask the obvious question: How do I know the next date is safe?

We help them think it through, but in the end it’s their decision and they have to live with it and the ramifications. We talked pros and cons, best case/worst case, etc.   They need to understand that some people will not be comfortable flying, so attendance may drop. Some people may travel anyways, but be uncomfortable and possibly resentful. They just need to consider all that.

    .

By next summer I can 100% guarantee there will be a vaccine or treatment option.

Davis said at the end that the Bills had expressed interest in him pretty early on in the process. I believe there was a rumor they were trying to trade up for Duvernay at one point. But, they must have done a ton of scouting on WR this year so I feel like the ones that they took, they feel really good about.

Pretty much squashed that made up rumor with force.  Where was all the Duggar footage?

I think we should wait to see what is actually found.  You're saying "additional substance abuse issue" before you know if there's a substance abuse issue at all.

According to the "court record" thing posted (which I don't understand, because there hasn't been a court date set yet), Oliver said he is "taking Adderall" but if he has a prescription, that is not a crime.  It may or may not be against NFL policy, depending upon whether he has a therapeutic use exemption.

Texas does not require that a firearm be registered, so the weapons violation is only in the context of another crime, the DWI.

If the DWI proves out, it's there.  If it doesn't, it's gone.

I was just going off the article which listed those three things.

In terms of NFL, it's a pretty simple rule for adderall, if found with it in offseason it is substance abuse, if found during playing season it's performance enhancing.

Adderall has become one of the most abused drugs out there right now.  My guess is that he didn't have a prescription if he admitted to using it.   It is getting incredibly tough to get prescriptions from Doctors due to what the drug has become.

One incident =/= 4 years of repeated infractions

It's one incident but it evolves multiple violations.  I think the people thinking it will just fall under the alcohol 3 games are not taking into account the other issues.

I think 6 games will be end result now with the additional substance abuse issue.
