JHC the guy is a proven commodity but he drops one pass in minicamp and he’s retiring or cut. I’m not gonna make it.

Let's just ignore the fact he is 34 years old, multiple season ending injuries, 11 years already in the league, a new team/city, far from his family, and has more than enough money to live off of.  He has also won a superbowl already in his career.

How soon people forget about Boldin.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if Sanders got cut. McKenzie, Hodgins, and Stevenson should be decent depth behind Diggs, Gabe, and Beas.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Sanders retired.  Sounds to me like he realized that he is starting to fall behind with guys in the league and guys coming into the league.  This could have been a wake up call for him, since he didn't show up to many OTAs.

It was pretty amazing how far they got last year with the QB situation they had.

I don't know what their future at QB may be, but I'm not sure either Kyle Allen or Taylor Heinicke can be that thing.

They were 3-7 outside their division.  Is that getting "far"?

  4. Even is Fitz's good years, he isn't good enough.  Wash needed to upgrade the QB, not roll with Fitz.  It will be their demise.

Their front 4 is good, not sure about the defense as a whole.

Not to mention, what the heck have they done to that O line.

I don't get the overhype of Wash.  They got lucky being in the NFC East.

    I don't know how you're saying they're not perennially top 10 with Coach K

In the final AP poll they finished top 10..  11 times in the last 15 years.. 7 out of last 10... more than any program

4 elite 8 in the last 8 years

They're not winning national championships like they used to.. that doesn't mean they're not a top 10 team

    Which statistically they absolutely are

    I'm talking recent.

Since 2015 National Championship, they have been largely a disappointment.  There has been consistent good teams during the last 5 years, and Duke has not been one of them.

Coach K is one of the best that's ever done it

Even on a bad day he's better than 95% of coaches. They're absolutely going to take a hit for a bit

Duke is absolutely going to take a step backwards. Does it mean they're going to be irrelevant? No .. but even Alabama took years to find her footing after Bear Bryant left

Coach K is Duke. The brand will not be the same

I'm not saying they're going to be trash either. I'm just saying they're not going to be perennial top 10

They haven't been perennial top 10 in years with K.  I just don't understand what you are trying to say.  K is not leaving on a high.  Quite honestly, the last 5 years have been some of the worst coaching performances in CBB.

Coach K has made Duke, but he is not Duke.  They have become their own brand now.  The college bb brand will never be the same, that applies to Duke too, with or without K.

Yeah but that will only last so long if they're not winning anymore.

What do you classify as "winning"?

Lots of traditional power houses are not winning national championships and it doesn't change anything.  The hate will always be there that people will tune into.

Yea but he's the main recruiter for kids to play UNDER Coach K.. not head coach Jon scheyer

Duke is absolutely going to take a step back

K built the Duke brand.  That brand will still be there, meaning the top facilities, most national exposure, connections. good conference, etc.

Not sure who would want to play under K's coaching recently.  These players went there for the exposure they receive at being at a school that gets the most televised games.

  9. About time.  These old guys just can't keep up.  CBB is a different world.

It's literally all about recruiting for one year.  I can see why Scheyer would be next in line, he has been the main recruiter for Duke.

  10. If it says still processing, don't expect anything till at least Aug, prob later.

It's this new system the IRS put in a couple years back where it automatically pulls returns to be manually approved based on changes in your return from last year to the current year.  Unfortunately like everything the government does, the software is horrible and flags too many returns that have no changes or issues.

Your return will need to be manually signed off on by an IRS agent and they are millions of returns behind, especially since if you used your 2019 earned income for the earned income tax credit, those all have to be manually sign off on because the system couldn't handle that change.

The good ole government for you.  Forgot to mention, they cut funding to IRS and have less staff too.

Not sure I agree with you, including “he doesn’t take it seriously.” This is a guy that talks trash about others, plays no practice rounds with any of the other guys, and has literally zero friends on the tour. He has a bunch of petty feuds and makes whiny or passive aggressive comments all the time —eg,  he couldn’t even show some class towards Mickleson, instead exaggerating a story about fans trying to take his knee out. Give me a break.

he is exactly the type of annoying guy too that you would find on the golf course playing speed golf on people’s backs, and constantly griping and complaining about the small stuff.

I just find it to be boorish behavior.
Shows almost no respect for the other guys or the game. I will take Rory or Dustin or a bunch of the other young guys over him— guys who have personalities, have fun, get along with others, and show respect for the game and for each other.

Ahhh, the classic "respect for the game"

Also, Brooks was nothing but class playing with Mickelson, even after he rubbed him the wrong way when Brooks was a kid.  Those feelings just don't go away and Brooks put it aside to be nothing but a great competitor on Sunday, even after Phil should have been docked for slow play plenty of times on Sunday.  No to mention that the security lost complete control of the crowd.  How is that Brooks fault?

I'm curious how many interviews you actually listened to from Brooks.  From your response, it sounds like zero, which I don't understand how you have a strong opinion if you really don't know.

Notice who didn't get a promotion? Brian Gaine. He was Beane's top guy but left for Houston then came back. I'm happy for Boyd and Gray.

I think they did it like this because Boyd is likely getting a GM job next year.

Think it has more to do with Gaine still collecting from Houston and not wanting to move his family back to Buffalo again.  We will see when his kids get older what he eventually does, but right now he has a nice gig.

  13. Got my second pfizer on Friday morning and man it hit me hard.  Was not expecting it to be that bad.  Friday night was like a full on flu.  Every symptom.  Sat felt so weak and achy.  Had a really bad cough too.  Had to take an inhaler.  Late yesterday, I now have tons of swelling in my armpit from the arm I got my shot.  Looked it up and they say its swollen lymph nodes and could last 1 to 2 weeks.  Really questioning what the heck I just put into my body.  I can't have my arm rest against its side and certainly can't sleep on that side because its so swollen and sore.

Introductory presser this morning. Coach Mo' already building his staff. Joe Cauthen would be an A+++ get.

Interesting name.  Dailey spent some time coaching in Buffalo, but before Mo.  I'm assuming Dailey would run the option with his run-pass skills as a player.  Could be huge for Myers

Dan Morgan was director of player personnel. You included two drafted players which are really more of the college scouting area. Regardless of whether you think these players are “bad” - his area is primarily responsible for evaluating talent in trading for players and signing FAs. And evaluating the value of the team’s current players. And not just on the defensive side.

The reason could be scheme fit as well

The dude literally was on college campuses scouting:

You are just throwing that silly opinion out into the air without any knowledge or insight whatsoever? That's bold.

What more insight do you need than the performance of players that he had hand in bringing to Buffalo?  There has been a drop off after 2018 draft.  In a video they posted on buffalobills website years ago, he was heavily involved defensively.
