  1. Makes me feel a lot better about the 4th string guard.  I think the plan might be to use Bates as the swing tackle this year.

    Dawkins-Ford-Morse-Feliciano-Williams

    Bates-Ike-Lamp-Hart

I really wasn't all that impressed with the Devey and Douglas signings.  I like this one much better.

Give me numbers back, since mine are based on kamara.  Kamara averages 8.7 yards per reception career, and Singletary is 6.9.  Thats 1.8 yards per catch different.  Across 100 catches, thats 180 yards.  His catch% is about 5-6 points higher so we'll say he gets 5 more catches at the same average and thats like 45.  So 225 yards.  Kamara's career YPC is 5, and Singletary's is 4.8.  200 carries and .2 yards additional per carry is 40 yards.

    That is 265 yards.

Kamara had 16 rushing TDs - and NO led the league in rushing TDs.  But they had 30 rushing TDs as a unit vs. buffalo who had 16.  Buffalo had 40 TDs to NO's 28 passing though, and generally a considerably more dynamic passing offense.  If Etienne has more of a red zone impact (an area buffalo wasn't top 10 on offense), then it makes a lot of sense.  But if I'm having Etienne running into the same walls in the RZ as our current crop of backs, then I'm not super excited about him providing as big an impact.

Watch the games.  Singletary is embarrassing trying to catch and run.

If you think Etienne will have the same running plays called as guys that run high 4.6s, then you need to seriously watch more football in general.  The problem with our run game is that Singletary and Moss are too slow.  It's too hard to run to the edges with them.

I don't think he'd get 100+ targets in the buffalo offense, but i suppose its possible.  Even adding in an extra yard, yard and a half across those thats an extra 150 yard.  Kamara and CMC line up in the slot quite a bit too, which helps increase their yards per catch - but we'll assume etienne is doing something similarly.

But basically take all the running back targets, throw in some of mckenzie's snaps/targets too and get around 100.  How much better will he be across those 100 targets than the 3 guys they have?  And will those yards impact the W-L column.  Same for carries and additional yards - say he gets 5 YPA and singletary gets 4.2.  Across 200 carries that 160 yards.

Best case scenario we're adding around 3-400 yards.  I think they could stand to improve in the red zone, so if his value falls there that helps make a greater impact.

And at the same time look at whether he will be the impact player to put you over the top against top 5 competition in the playoffs.  I personally think the defense needs more of an infusion of talent to stop KC than we need a running back.

Not even sure what these made up numbers are trying to prove, but Etienne is 10x times better than any RB on the roster.

Not to mention, Singletary and Moss are some of the worst pass catching RBs in the league.  Etienne would walk in that room tomorrow and put on a school on pass catching from an RB, something this team desperately needs.

Edge rushers taken around 30 in the past 5 drafts:

    Yetur Gross-Matos 38th overall 2020, 2.5 career sacks

Montez Sweat 26th overall 2019, 16 career sacks

LJ Collier 29th overall 2019, 3 career sacks

Harold Landry 41st overall 2018, 19 career sacks

Takkarist McKinley 26th overall 2017, 17.5 career sacks

Taco Charlton 28th overall 2017, 11 career sacks

TJ Watt 30th overall 2017, 49.5 career sacks

Emmanuel Ogbah 32nd overall 2016, 27 career sacks

There's production there.  I challenge you to find the top 8 edge rushers of the last 5 drafts from rounds 3-7 to compare sack numbers.

If Beane goes that route, we just hope he identifies this year's Sweat or Watt.

Watt is a LB, not a DE.  Same with Landry

    Alton Robinson Pick 148 2020, 4 sacks

    Chase Winovich Pick 77 2019, 11 sacks

    Maxx Crosby Pick 106 2019, 17 sacks

    Sam Hubbard Pick 77 2018, 16.5 sacks

    Josh Sweat Pick 130 2018, 10 sacks

    Dawauane Smoot, Pick 68 2017, 11.5 sacks

    Deatrich Wise, Pick 131 2017, 14 sacks

    Carl Nassib, Pick 65 2016, 20.5 sacks

    Yannick Ngakoue Pick 69 2016, 45.5 sacks

    Matt Judon Pick 146 2016, 34.5 sacks

I don't understand...If WR "have become plug and play", then why would a WR we draft at 30 this year not "see the field in year 1"?

We are drafting 30th and have an incredibly strong WR core, that's why.  They become plug and play when you have a hole.  Like a CB at 30th would be plug and play for us, but wouldn't be for other teams.

You also gotta consider WR of the future. The current group is really only together for this year. There may be a couple prospects at 30 who are tough to pass up.

Not going to draft a WR that isn't going to see the field in year 1.  WR have become plug and play.  I'll take one next year.

Also, Etienne would have a Kamara like impact on this team.  He would second to third leading in receptions on this team

  7. The way I look at it, if you can get one of the top CBs (Horn, Farley, Newsome, Surtain) you take him.  If not, you look to trade out, or you take Etienne (if he is there) or you reach for Freiermuth.  We have the type of DEs that will be available at 30 already.  None of them are all that special.

I just don't see the value in drafting a back up at 30 either.  We haven't gotten better in FA, we need to get a player that is an upgrade to what we currently have starting.

Hopefully he is moved to guard and provides competition.   He got Burrow almost killed.

    Coaching got Burrow killed.

Go watch Burrow's tape from last year and count how many times the guard and tackle had no idea how to read to a stunt.  Go back and see how many times Hart was left on an island versus guys like Miles Garrett, Bosa, and Barrett.  Hart isn't the best, but I think he can be much better with better coaching.

The Bills were seeking $6 million annually last year, SBJ reports, but it is not known what Highmark paid for naming rights.

That would be chump change if BCBS gets the contract of a large company for their insurance based upon the Bills relationship.

I think people don't realize how much companies pay for health insurance.  If BCBS can use Bills game and previous partners to get their company to switch, it is a great investment.

So what are the odds of him playing football THIS YEAR??

With no criminal case, why would he not play football?

Like I stated earlier, all these women are jumping onto a civil case, not a criminal case.  Watson clearly is a sex addict, but not sure you can suspend him if these women are not taking the criminal route.  Suspending off civil cases is a slippery slope the league can't start doing.

I just don't understand if some of these stories are true, why these women are not contacting and working with authorities.  It makes zero sense to me.  From the stories, he absolutely sexually assaulted multiple women.

I’m thinking Cb at 30? Will there be some good talent available? I don’t think Levi is really viewed as our number 2. Or is Jackson ready to step into that role..

Really the only position (besides RB, but I hate drafting RB that early), where the player will come in and start right away.  The draft has some really good CBs and we have a hole there.

The AFC East? 15 games last season?

If that is good with you, then have fun.

I mean it only took Brady leaving the conference to win it, but congrats to Mcdermott for winning a division.  That's huge.

Who wants an AFC Championship or Super bowl anyways?!

So based on your formula and years of research, Carolina players that come to Buffalo will automatically have a declining quotient of .5

    Got it

    If we are lucky.

Butler went from 6 sacks to zero.

Star went from 5.5 in his last two year in Car to 2 sacks in his two years in Buffalo.

He had more sacks, forced fumbles, qb hits and TFL's than Addison. Addison started 7 games and Obada started 1 game. Goodbye Love & Cox.

Addison also had 9.5 sacks before coming to Buffalo.  Apply the same decline in Obada numbers.  Expect a 50% drop in sacks.
