Must be wrong - I thought I remembered Eric Berry had a chance opt out for a season because of his cancer diagnosis but he was able to return regardless.
I think players could always "opt out" but last year it was a much bigger deal and changes were made to the process because of Covid. I don't see anyone doing so this season but who knows
Thought of that too but Hughes is our best DE and produces extremely well even at his age. Not sure that $6.3 million could be spent better than on Hughes. Good point on Addison - I think he's on the roster for sure.
Going to come down to Johnson or Obada - maybe one get's dealt for a mid-rounder.
He was a first round pick at a position of need.
Beane thinks he's very good. So does McClap. He's going to dress and rotate in just as much as Epenesa did last season, if not more, because of the work he'll get in training camp.
I think we need to look at the DEs specifically
Hughes
Addison
Epenesa
Johnson
Obada
Rousseau
Beane has kept 5 DEs before so I think Beane does it again. I think it will come down to Johnson versus Obada unless Addison is cut for cap savings but I am not sure of the impact that would have.

Are we? Or is that what you constantly refer back to because you won't answer the question -
How can minorities be treated equally if some of those in power have implicit bias against them?
I'll ask again - How can minorities (please spell it correctly if you're going to present an argument about them) be treated equally if some of those in power have implicit bias against them?
