  2. Now less than two weeks to go until the biggest non-sporting event of 2022...lets take the exit ramp and stop for a pee break and while inhaling the intoxicating aroma of urinal cakes, here is a conversation starter for those public restrooms, eleavators, jail cells...maybe even those madatory kool-aid breaks when watching Fox News ?

the NFL draft all-time name squad, last year we we were smitten by Rachad Wildgoose, but before we could send his jersey as X-mas gifts to fellow cerebral giants of this portal of higher thought (the mods come to mind for some odfd reason) he was poached from our PS by the Jersey Jets:

Ahh but a new crop of names emeerges...this years contestants:  Sauce Gardener CB whio will be a household name for sure, but what about KEEGAN MARKGRAF long-snapping to KIRK CHRISTODOULOU, and Bydarrius Knighten could be a UDFA signing from Auburn, but a fellow Tiger has caught my eye, so whilst I figure out which round I hope and pray we draft Jordan Stout ( P, PSU)  here is my fav so far...pls do throw some more at me:

from the BN...Sleeper: Smoke Monday, Auburn.

The 6-3, 199-pound senior belongs on the All-Pro name team and could be an impact player as a rookie on special teams. Monday is a two-year starter with an alpha mentality and looks to punish ball carriers. He had nine tackles for loss last season and three career interception returns for touchdowns. He’s a possible late-round pick.

  3. actually this is the new and improved and updated stadium thread that speaks to the stadium funding being officially approved by the NYS legilslature budget.

what is not new and missing is what is the benefit to the community, beyond the Bills games and the Bills staying, which is number one I get it, but ithat is s what the advocates for the stadium in the city was all about.

Beyond the Bills games what else does new york state - erie county and orchard park get but newer and empty parkng lots used 12 times a year ?

  4. source: Brugler Dane - released his "Beast" today - 1698 player rankings and 398 player analysis

small extract from the Athletic (paywall)

projects as slot-receiver - 7th best WR and 39th overall

SUMMARY: A three-year starter at Western Michigan, Moore was a boundary wide receiver (slot and outside) in offensive coordinator Eric Evans’ RPO-based scheme. A quarterback and cornerback in high school, he made the switch to receiver at WMU, learned under Dee Eskridge and became the first 1,000-yard receiver since Corey Davis (2016), averaging 5.7 catches per game over his 30 games for the Broncos. A physically and mentally tough competitor, Moore creates route leverage with his foot quickness and is extremely reliable at the catch point thanks to his large, sticky hands and quick-reaction ball skills. Although he isn’t an explosive YAC threat, he flashes natural instincts with the ball in his hands and makes it a chore for defenders to get him on the ground. Overall, Moore might have [52] trouble creating sizable passing windows vs. NFL coverage, but he has outstanding hands and reflexes with the detail-oriented mindset to grow into a three-level threat. He projects best as an NFL slot receiver. GRADE: 2nd Round (No. 39 overall

Re-signing Diggs likely means that one -- if not two -- of Knox, Edmunds, and Poyer will not be re-signed.

Given age and recent safety prospect visits, I'd list Poyer as the MOST likely not to be here in 2023.

I'm not commenting on that decision one way or the other. I love Jordan Poyer. Most underrated safety in the NFL. I'm just recognizing the reality that you can't pay everybody, and that a 32 year old safety seems like a logical choice to let walk after the season.

exaclty...free agent comp pick would aslo take the string out esp if we draft a replacement early rounds...Jacquan Johnson has been a backip all along to the point where he is also UFA after season, and Hamlin has another season to progress...

    Hope it’s available for a single team’s games… and that it’s not exorbitant 💸.

MLB.tv for a single team is $90 for a season according to the Google. That’s for 162 games.

NFL is 20 games, including preseason. $50 would be my limit.

espn+ is a good economic streaming choice for MLB games, 70 per year plus you get a lot of NHL games with the new NHL contract, a good option if you live outside of WNY for Sabres and or your MLB team....tmobile gives you the MLB package as a subsriber as well...

  7. poor Whaley was mentored by good ole Buddy Nix, who didnt get the NFL transformation to the passing game was key...and if Whaley did,...the two #1 traded for Watkins and the selection of EJ Manuel in the first round,  each by themselves are just cause for terminatiion...

  8. its the offseason and its keeping the barnyard animals fed with  quality "content" which is the root of your question.  Enjoy or criticize or both daily.

We all have our more trusted-valid-most favored sources and  mine is:

Dane Brugler from the Athletic will be relasing  "The Beast" soon - a culmination of several months of outstanding scouting, analysis and ranking by position of several hundred prospects including those that he considers UDFA.  He does mock drafts as well but The Beast is not round-oriented as it is just pure stats, strengths and weaknesses...

  9. as Diggs said yesterday...the hell going on ?

The have nots have blown the market wide open for qbs and wrs...under normal condiions Beane has done extensions late camp-early season, if this is an issue I would think it has to be resolved prior to the draft next month so we can re-tool...Hill's trade to Miami places focus on our CB quality, but a potential Diggs trade would also require a WR selection ahead of that or not ?

A silver lining to the trade would make more cap room for an extension easier for: edmunds, poyer, Knox, Davis....or a Landry, OBJ vet add

  10. what a whirlwind week...amazing amount of big moves overall at the key qb and wr positions...

Bills had helluva haul, with limited cap space BBB (Big Baller Beano) still got the job done and has not placed the future in cap jail either.  Improving the pass rush and interior of the DL with more size and talent, but the OL is going to be a constant wokr-in-progress at the guard position until a draftee develops into steady state.

Rivals - Miami improved the line and now has speed to help Tua, this could be his last season so lets hope he's mediocre and muddies that decision for them.  NE and Jets not much improvement this UFA seaon

The AFC West is catching-up to KC, lets see them drop a notch and play some playoff road games as under Mahomes KC has not played a single AFC playoff on the road.
