  1. wow irts been a decade already ? set for life at age 31 - 40M career earning whick includes a great NFL pension - whale(y) of a pick but better trade (Phillips)

He got a ring with Philly as well.. made his mind up at Kentucky Darby...

  2. so 50 on-sides kicks last season with 3 recovered by the kicking team for 6 percent success rate.

Given that...I quite dont understand why the rule still requires these to be announced before the play..with the element of surprise being key and thus removed

Can't be  safety issue as the teams are lined-up close to each other and players are not running all that fast into each other ?

  3. Next...I hope he shows-up in camp driving a Bentley with some major bling on along with deluxe sound system and a big screen TV...then dad pops in to catch his pro debut and subsequent ad hoc presser...

Then onto how debate about how many QBs the Browns will keep and cut...and then which ones pass thru waivers... then get picked-up on a PS squad... that should get us thru Labor Day...

Someone has to make it cool again, that's all.

I mean, there have been 8 others to wear 40 since JD Hill, including Von Miller most recently. 32 is much more interesting, though. Only a couple of worn that since OJ (Senorise Perry and Nicholas Morrow). They only started giving out that number in recent years.

As a fan of 70s culture...I give props to JD over Von for being the 40 king..he blocked well enough during the 2003 yard season of 73 that OJ gave him an engraved bracelet..

    it said.

Thanks we  did it..and on the other side... I didnt do it

    I don't think he's a bad player.

I remember just before the draft last year someone did a "Which player do you want the Bills to avoid" thread. Coleman was mine.

My response was something along the lines as "Not that he's not going to be ok, he may be. He's just not the type WR the Bills need".

I stand by that opinion almost a year later. He showed a few flashes. Less then I hoped ...but a few. Hoping he develops a bit more this year. I think he can earn a useful role. Still wish we went in another direction last year, however.

my reaction to the Bills drafting Josh back in the day was almost the same...I thought he had too many flaws...accuracy, played against inferior competition, etc

And shifty. And the difference about his shiftiness is he did it at full speed while moving down the field, like changing directions didn't slow him down at all. I'm always amazed when watching his highlights.

add track meet speed...nobody ever ran OJ down once he broke free which was hard to do considering the D always keyed on him....

That’s Pat Summerall narrating.  I forget the other guy but he and Summerall were both former players.  IIRC the other guy played for the Eagles.

Tom Brookshier me thinks - this game was the first regular season game at Rich Stadium  - Earl Edwards was an absolute beast that day constant pressure amongst the best I have ever seen from a Bills player not named Bruce Smith...sold-out 72 hours in advance (stupid NFL blackout rule) so we could all watch from home...may have been the first ever Bills home game televised in the 716 ???

Good dude. Shame he never won a championship. Wish him health and happiness in retirement. Hope the concussions don't have any lingering impact.

totally agree..glad he could walk away from this on his terms...and no more concussions !

he was high character man, 6-6 sort of playing out of position, as he played tackle at Mizzou, he did a great job of pulling to the edge to lead the off-tackle plays and sweeps...was a bit over-powered due to his lean and long frame by bull tackles as center was not his true calling...

best to Mitch in his new chapter of life...a true Buffalo Bill

  9. he would have to finish the rest of his career as a Bill and make some pro bowl teams and win a ring or two...

    moreover...

I wish he would win NFL Man Of The Year...as he is consistently the Bills candidate for very good reason, and he also lives in city and is often at Sabres games.

I know of no other Bill that lives in city...corect if I am wrong here...(Jerry Hughes used to live in the city as well back in the day - add past Bills that used to live in the city if you know- can)
