Tua is ruled out but bridgewater technically isn’t -

I don’t think McDaniel trusts his offense to pick up tough yards on the ground on obvious running downs though so it’s not quite as simple as ‘if they just ran the ball on those red zone plays they would’ve won’. A lot of their shtick is they frequently pass out of heavy formations and most teams play them with pretty light boxes to respect the pass but the closer they get to the end zone the less you have to worry about tyreek/waddle taking the top off the defense so things get jammed up more closer to the line of scrimmage. So between the 20s they’re pretty much being given free yards if they want to try to run the football but things get a lot harder in the red zone. And if their threat to pass isn’t as strong, they will have a lot more trouble running the football. also if they’re missing armstead and shell, their offensive line won’t get the push to run or pass. -

I have a weird feeling they’re trying hard to get bridgewater ready to start and they’re pulling a fast one lol the language has been ‘the dolphins are preparing like Thompson will start’…I don’t think bridgewater has been ruled out though -

There will be plenty of ‘the season is over’ posts in the gameday thread if Miami picks up at least one first down on their first drive lol -

Lol no definitely not…and despite all that we were a gabe Davis drop away from tying the game or winning outright in the last couple seconds -

I don’t think Skylar is bad but he does not have the particular skills that the offense was built around. Bridgewater really doesn’t either. -

Kenny Pickett was all garbage time. The Zach Wilson game was more the jets picking on Terrell Bernard all game which won’t be an option this time. The falloff from Edmunds/Milano to Bernard is massive and the jets took advantage. If we had both our starting linebackers we would’ve shut the jets out -

It’s crazy because he’s completely wrong haha. It literally proves the opposite of what he’s trying to say. How was tua even allowed to re-enter that bills game when mahomes wasn’t? and tua has memory loss after his second documented concussion…clearly mahomes didn’t have that -

tua did come back from his stumble hit in the same game and didn’t go into concussion protocol after the bills game I don’t think. Mahomes came out of the game right after that hit and never returned despite the playoffs being on the line. This proves the opposite of their point this recent bout tua literally has proven long term memory loss after already having one other documented concussion this season(possibly 2 others) I’m not sure what that twitter person is getting at. tua remembered the interception plays in the postgame and had completely forgotten them by the next day concussions vary greatly in severity and that one he sustained in the bengals game was very bad -
Dolphins fans opinions on what we have to say about them 🤔

There’s something pretty puzzling going on with this most recent concussion. I just don’t get how you can play him a couple weeks later when he experienced mental confusion like that after his second concussion this season. In the post game press conference tua talked about individual plays at length and how they cost his team the game. then the next day supposedly Mike McDaniel asked him about certain decisions he made on plays during the film session and he ‘couldn’t recall the plays’ -Jay Glazer so he must’ve had some pretty serious long term memory issues beginning after the game which could last a long time -
There’s a small chance he’s medically cleared and still doesn’t play. That dolphins oline could be Swiss cheese depending on if armstead/shell play. The re injury risk is pretty high if he’s medically cleared or not. im not sure if we’d ever find out he was medically cleared in that case though cuz their fans would probably go ballistic if they knew
-
That very well might be based on bridgewater. McDaniel said pretty recently he was very close to being able to play against the jets. Bills -9.5 with bridgewater starting sounds right the way he’s talked about tua it’s more likely he doesn’t play I’d say but it’s impossible to know. The 49ers are -9.5 against the Seahawks for reference
-
Maybe I’m taking crazy pills and I apologize if so lol but the 49ers really didn’t appear to be playing press man to me. Brandon Staley even commented on how different the niners gameplan was. They seemed to be playing what people around here call ‘the Leslie Frazier special’ lol lots of soft zone/cover 4 and cover 2 shell in the secondary and rushing 4…their linebackers tackled well and closed so fast on underneath throws though and they were stout against the run. Milano had a really bad night for us against the dolphins. Miami runs a lot of heavy sets that dare you to throw a third linebacker out there and we tried to ride it out in the nickel and had an awful night tackling

Can we take a moment and appreciate the front office

It’s going to be 3 in a row in buffalo after that…the afc east vs afc west division placement games have doubled up home teams in back to back years the last few rotations -
Yea that’s true…i goofed on when he had the surgery too so I’d agree it’s extremely unlikely. Figured it was closer to the bills titans game but it was about a month later. 4 months I could see it being in that ‘fully healed but risky to return’ window where a player might go for it since it’s the playoffs (assuming the medical staff clears them and depending on the severity of the injury). But 3 months just seems too risky

Tua being that much better than bridgewater is exaggerated imo. They have different skill sets which gave tua a big edge early while there wasn’t much film on the new look dolphins offense but the diminishing returns were huge. He’s accurate and he gets rid of the ball quick but teams wised up to where he likes to go with the football. Bridgewater is better at going through reads and improvising when a play breaks down. tua is just always injured for tough defensive matchups which makes the total win/loss of the various qbs argument completely meaningless. The bills and ravens defenses were absolutely decimated by injuries early in the year then tua got a long string of layup games. Bridgewater/Thompson started against NYJ X 2 and NE behind a very shoddy oline due to injuries. the Vikings d was gettable and bridgewater moved the ball fine he just had a couple tough turnovers. Vs cincy, bridgewater actually looked better than tua when he came in in the second half. So out of the 5 games tua missed, 3 were against great defenses,1 was against a good defense, and one was against a good team with a bad defense tua would’ve looked horrible also in the NYJ game last weekend. I thought Thompson played pretty well considering. No armstead or Brandon shell, no mostert, and tyreek hill and waddle were both far from 100% If we saw tua light up the jets once maybe the vibe would be different, but he mostly ran up the score against terrible teams imo.

He had a herniated disc in his neck? There’s enormous variability in how long recovery could take with or without surgery. From life experience (obviously I’m not a professional football player lol) 6-9 months sounds outrageously overly cautious if you’re strictly accounting for physical healing. The physical recovery only takes about 2-3 months. could be mental things at work for why it usually takes players longer which are entirely on him. I don’t think he’d be working out at practice if he didn’t see it as at all possible
