Let’s hope around 7:30-8 pm we can all come back and say the Chiefs issues are catching up to them.

Until then, they’ve taken a ton of swings to help Mahomes on offense (OL, WR, RB, TE) and are undefeated since we played them.

Unless you believe they’re a paper tiger (we know they’re not), it’s hard to really point to all these flaws when they literally haven’t lost since playing us.

Again… I would love nothing more than to discuss later tonight how they have issues of their own and no longer control their destiny to have Mahomes never play a road playoff game.

I’m not trying to say they aren’t great by any means…it’s all running through Kelce and that’s all they’ve needed is what I meant.  It could definitely be enough to get the 1 seed with their schedule.

if we have to go to arrowhead I can’t say we’ll definitely win but we have the better roster imo.

they got pretty lucky with the timing of running into the rams and titans also so I don’t put a whole lot of stock in the ‘they’re undefeated the last couple months’ talk like other teams don’t have a chance to win.

titans would’ve spanked them with tannehill and the rams would’ve had a decent shot at a win with stafford.  Chargers had them on the ropes in the first matchup before that herbert pick six in the end zone and played them tough in the rematch.  This is the most beatable chiefs team we’ve seen the last few years.  It’s not the ‘you won’t beat us at arrowhead’ chiefs anymore

Dude this is QUITE the leap. The guy barely has 200 yards receiving the entire season. Those ZERO touchdowns he has scored has also really helped that team!!

This is a pretty terrible job of scare tactics you’re trying here

It’s weird because it’s the opposite of the truth lol the chiefs are losing playmakers to injury and really no one new is emerging. It’s been the mahomes/Kelce show

We aren't scared of Arrowhead. Not sure why we continue to perpetuate the idea that we are. We are a 13 second blunder away from beating them there 3 times in a row.

If Skyy Moore is emerging then Davis who has 3 times his yards and 6 more tds (than Skyy's 0) is blasting off into space.

Kc would likely have two more losses if they didn’t run into backup qbs on the titans and rams.  I don’t think their talent level is quite where it was last year..couldn’t find the original comment you responded to haha so I responded to you instead.

if our defense continues trending toward healthy we are the better team on paper imo

There are literally 4 #2 WRs in the NFL averaging more YPG than Davis. I don't understand where this over inflated expectation comes from #2 WRs in terms of production. Because it simply isn't true except for very few cases. It's really never been true.

Cincinnati, Miami, TB and Seattle are the teams with a #2 WR averaging more YPG than Davis. And in Seattle Metcalf is averaging 0.55 yards per game more.

I guess there are a LOT of disappointed teams out there.

Davis is 44th in targets and 27th in YPG so you can't even use the excuses he is being targeted more than other #2s, as this isn't the case.

It’s a fair point…but gabe has had so many opportunities for even more yards/tds and he just isn’t making the plays

Did he notice NE had a pick six, but dropped it? Or that the team rallied around a struggling Josh the past few weeks?

Josh didn’t win this game. This was a TOTAL team win.

It’s probably somewhere in between those two takes imo…that game would’ve been uncomfortably close without the 10 points resulting directly from josh Allen magic.  But on the flip side, the defense played well and the running game was solid.

it’s kind of funny seeing us criticize Allen for targeting diggs a majority of the time and not taking underneath throws etc when singletary and others are dropping passes constantly.  There’s been a few games where the team has let josh down and there were a few others where if josh made less self inflicted errors we would’ve won

The recent shared clip of them talking through the probability of Brady coming back is sad. They just don’t get it, it’s like us Bill’s fans after Kelly retired. They are slowly slipping into the abyss.

Lol logic defies them I guess…Brady left because of the lack of weapons/investment on the offensive side and now they have no weapons and a shaky offensive line.  He’ll probably stay where he is,go to SF if they’ll have him, or retire

If I were OBJ, I’d probably lean to Dallas as my #1, but it would be very close.  Cowboys just seem a little more well rounded, we have a big drop off on offense after Josh and Diggs. But our D kicks ass.

I think the big drop off is why it’s the perfect place to go honestly…if he wants to be an integral part of a potential Super Bowl win and showcase his skills

I think the Jets game could be difficult. Specially if your O line is hurting. Their pass rush is better than NE and well the Pats were living in the backfield all night.  Yes I know Allen can make plays on the run but their secondary is also LIGHT YEARS better than NE.  This game IMO will be won or lost by Buffalos D because the Jets O is not as good as NE, that or they are still hexed by BB. Lol

I definitely don’t disagree with what you’re saying are the strengths of the jets…but the bills defense without scrubs starting at lb/in the secondary is getting downplayed pretty hard in your assessment imo. We got quite a few big time defensive players back for the NE game.

bills will probably win it in similar fashion to the pats game score wise…I’m expecting low 20s to low 10s.

  9. 5 hours ago, PatsFanNH said:

100% question will your O line be healthy for the Jets game? They have an amazing pass rush and a very good secondary… their weakness is a meh to god awful O.

the truth is 3 of the next 4 games will be rather tough games for the Bills.. and the 1 lay up could be hard if their starting QB is back.  So hardly an easy run for the Bills.

I’ve got the same evaluation for the jets game as I had pre pats game lol…if edmunds and Milano play the jets won’t win…barring mike white being a hidden gem of course.  Jets just went after the bills depth linebackers all game last game.  They would not have cracked double digits if edmunds and poyer played.

bills won’t be firing on all cylinders on offense if Dawkins/quessenberry are out but they should win comfortably

Miami is honestly not a bad matchup for us…unless they have really sorted their defense out which may or may not be the case.  It took the bills being down 5 offensive linemen for them to generate any kind of pressure last game.  They’ve also lost armstead for several weeks minimum which is a huge loss

The bills had a really quirky schedule…lots of injuries early and the three road division games came before any home division games.  I’d be pretty surprised if they don’t finish 2-1 or better in their last 3 division games

it’s possible the dolphins have just been buoyed by a stretch of pretty easy games and they lose two or three down the stretch.  Or they could be the dominant team people think they might be.  Should be a fun finish

Detroit is 8th in the league in scoring and you are using it as a negative that the Pats shut them down.  “Yeah, the Pats defense would be ordinary if they didn’t play well” lol.  WTF.

Why was Dion Dawkins so bad last night?

38 minutes not good enough ball control.

What would have been good enough?  32 for Zach Wilson means we were gashed.  38 minutes last night and we didn’t play that well.  How many minutes would have been good enough for you?

Goff and brissett are absolute statues on teams that heavily rely on running the football which is the perfect matchup for those slow thumpers NE has at linebacker.  NE has been getting roughed up by dual threat qbs all year

I thought he looked pretty good. He got a lot more snaps this week and wasn't thrown at too often.

With Von out, our secondary will have to cover the receivers longer so Tre's return is crucial for our defense.

We lost von but Rousseau came back just in time.  The man is an animal that could honestly surpass von this year even if von were healthy

Tre at even 85% of what he was is still our best CB by a mile and it's not even close.

Yea I don’t think the nfl world really realizes the extent to which opposing offenses were just picking on two replacement level players darned near 100% of their snaps lol Dane at cb1 and anyone not named edmunds/Milano at linebacker were huge liabilities but it looks like those days are over now that edmunds and tre are back, Rhodes is playing relatively well, and we have Klein as a depth piece at linebacker.

if the pats caught us two weeks ago that game would’ve been a whole lot closer imo

Josh is in Year 5 and Tony Gonzalez can't wait to ask him about sliding and getting out of bounds.

And Josh said there has been plenty of talk about that.

I just don't ever want our Coaches to take away his aggressiveness in the run or the pass.

I don't want McDermott constantly in his ear to slide, or take the check-down.

One of the other posters here had a chart where it showed QBs aggressiveness by expected yards gained verses turnover worthy plays, and Allen was virtually alone in the aggressive category. You want him there, not checking down, all game.

We've asked our OC to get more people besides Diggs to get involved and help. Last night it was McKenzie again, and sticking with the run. Allen has 3 TDs if not for a Tommy Sweeney hold.

This is anecdotal but he does seem to run less in games where we have a comfortable lead…and it seemed like a big emphasis while he was recovering from his shoulder injury to focus on the run game/keep him in the pocket.

You act like these guys had to dig their own walkways to the airport and got in just before game time.   They got picked up at or near their homes and took a puddle jump flight to play an inferior opponent in a climate controlled environment.     The biggest issue was that they were still in their midseason malaise.........which is on them.    They played down to their opponent in both of those Detroit games.    Last night they were much healthier started to get back on track but still aren't executing at a high level offensively again.

I literally said the main problem was they weren’t able to practice and you ignored it completely but ok 😂

I also think that just because the flight was short it doesn’t mean the situation wasn’t logistically difficult/a minor distraction but that was a secondary point.

they were missing lots of key players for that two game stretch and found a way to win which sounds like a point you kind of agree with from your last two sentences.  I feel like you’re just lookin an excuse to use the word malaise a bunch of times haha

Yeah if it's a road game for the opponent as well........it's not a road game..........it's a neutral site game.........like the Super Bowl.

And the flight to Detroit is like 40 minutes.   To Boston is like an hour.   The travel aspect was insignificant.

In fact, they got two controlled environment games during flu season and a pleasant evening weather game in New England.

The hyperbole is out of control.    If they had lost any of those games it would have been a huge disappointment.

The travel aspect was insignificant?  Haha they had to get shoveled out of 6 feet of snow to even make it to the flight 😂 and they had to cancel practices leading up to it.

that’s the big thing for me, bills hardly practiced the first two games of that 3 game stretch. It’s not really about nitpicking over what’s a road game and what’s not imo

    Recognize this?

It’s pretty funny to me that the first game we have a similar amount of injuries compared to other teams is a blowout road win against a division rival.  It’s almost like having an absurd amount of injuries does matter lol

I was looking at the Jets schedule and I'm not sure I see them winning enough down the stretch to make the playoffs. These next two week will be crucial for them. They could quickly find themselves with 6 losses with 4 games to go. Miami has the tougher schedule left of the two teams, but they have a couple of advantages. The biggest being that they are the better team. And the second advantage is that they have breathing room to lose one more game.

I see the Bagnals winning the North.  Ravens could also be a team that finishes the season with 7 losses. That could possibly help a team like the Jets in a three way tie for the final wild card spot.

IF I had to take a guess I would say the following teams make it:

    Bills

    Chiefs

    Dolphins

    Titans

    Bengals

    Chargers

Last spot comes down to Jets, Ravens and one of the five teams currently with 7 losses. One of them will go on a run to end the season.

The jets have some tough games and then some of those frisky bad teams where who knows what’s gonna happen like Jacksonville.  I swear Mike white is terrible and that’s gonna show lol

I just wish Josh could have been a dick to him in the postgame if he knew all the crap Gonzalez was talking about the Bills before and after Allen came out. But I know Josh is way too classy for that anyways.

I’m really curious if these guys do any research before they start spewing what is likely to be nonsense lol. Does gonzalez even know the schedule Miami has played so far and who they have left?  They are a big underdog to win the division right now.  Even if they beat buffalo it’s still pretty likely they finish a win behind

If they lose to buffalo the division is probably locked up

  18. Repeating a tinfoil hat post I made in another thread but man I am suspicious of this schedule we got haha.  Our schedule was very frontloaded and on top of that we got 3 road division games in a row while Miami had a long stretch of layup games midseason.

seems like the powers that be wanted the afc east to appear close as long as possible.  Of course Miami could perform well in their tough stretch to close out the season but there’s a good chance that they don’t.  This is mostly a joke 😂

    Good post from Greg.

Most people were saying they wanted Davis to emerge as a WR2… but they didn’t actually know what that meant and were expecting WR1 production, but just less production than Diggs which would make him our WR2.

It doesn’t excuse the drops and miscues… they’re annoying… but he’s still been producing.

    That’s all.

I think he’s leading the league in drops per target by a healthy margin also but I’m trying to track down where I saw that stat.  His 6 credited drops is tied for the league lead and everyone else with that many drops has way more targets
