Shows how lost they are. I don’t see the Ravens coming into our house and winning unless we have a very uncharacteristic game (a bunch of turnovers or a super flat performance).

Also, the Chiefs' biggest weakness is in protecting Mahomes. Texans strength is their D line: Will Anderson, Mario Williams and Danielle Hunter, plus they have depth. If they start getting to the QB it could be like when KC got demolished by the Bucs in the Super Bowl.

Stephen A actually made some great points about Lamar's performance in the playoffs versus Josh's. Even quoted the stats: Lamar 6 TD and 6 INT in 6 games Josh 21 TD and 4 INT in 10 games He repeated them three times.

About the Texans' chances: it will have been 3 weeks since Kansas City played a meaningful game. Strong chance they will take a quarter or so to get going. Five years ago, you may remember, the Texans had exactly this situation against the no. 1 seeded Chiefs. They jumped out to a 21-0 lead, but Mahomes brought the Chiefs storming back with 4 touchdowns in the 2nd quarter and won 51-31. However, this is not that Chiefs offense. That was the team with Hill and peak Kelce. If this Texans team can jump on them in the first quarter it could be huge.

Baltimore has a great Afghan restaurant, weirdly. The Helmand. But I think poultry is on the menu. Roast chicken with mashed potatoes and a chimichurri. Course, the game starts at 12:30am for me. Crazy thing is two friends (who also have kids) are coming over anyway. Game’s too big to skip.

I kinda like this thread but I also hate it—“on the verge” is asking for trouble when we have to beat the two toughest teams in the league just to get to the chip round. We are not on the verge.

Maybe the lesson is you want people who will take big risks, like the Bills did with Josh. That one paid off huge. But maybe you shouldn’t freak out if they don’t work out. Focus on the future.

Two hours out. I want to thank @Chandler#81 and everyone here for all the effort every week on gameday, getting everyone ready and pumped. It's been an incredible year. Yet today feels like the first day: the day we pickup our actual quest, the unfinished business we all need to get done. I'm nervous. I didn't think I would be. But I am. We have the chance we wanted, that's all we need. I am so proud of the 2024 Buffalo Bills players and coaches and staff for what they did this year. But now it's time to take another step. It's pretty clear Lamar is playing excellent, controlled football. Has been all season. Both players had incredible seasons. I think Josh get its this year.
