It's not sustainable. It hasn't been sustainable. Coming away with only 3 points on drives like this will doom us, not to mention the drives where we won't come away with anything. Unless they figure something out this is gonna be a frustrating day I'm afraid. -

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
Dick_Cheney replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Strong disagree. Once they realize it was a fluke and he isn't able to connect like that for the rest of the game going forward, it's over. Statistically speaking, even these dog water receivers we have will connect on a deep play here and there. We are absolutely hosed if Beane doesn't find a way to bring in a WR better than the ones we currently have. It sucks, but that's just the reality. Josh knows the quality of the receiving corps he is working with and it's clear that it's impacting him psychologically. If the offense sputters to start the game this week, don't be suprised if we see the wheels come off even more catastrophically than the Atlanta game. -

Just wait til you see the line this time next week. -
Obviously not totally accurate considering we didn't play this weekend but yeah....the current projections are.....rough.

Same with the AFCE sadly.

Yeah, the defense was definitely better in the second half, but I'm not sure how much that's really worth considering what you said. People are realizing how close this was to being a truly almost historically devastating loss. It's bad as it is, but damn, imagine if they had gotten two more scores on us. Personally, I wish they had. I think being truly embarrassed (even more than we were) might make a difference. Feels like when we do fail, we're failing justttttt barely enough to not constitute meaningful change, and we stick to the "we're mostly good enough, most of the time, probably, this can still work!" attitude. It's clear that is no longer the case.

10/13/2025 Bills at Falcons - Post game thread

I am praying that Josh has made his feelings very, very, VERY well known to Beane and McD on the WR issue. Everyone eats is worthless when everyone is eating ****. -
Was DaQuan Jones injured in pregame Warm up?

This will change when we lose to Carolina after not having made any significant moves during the bye. Patriots very well might be favored to win the division soon. -
Kincaid was out tonight too.

I mean. We could’ve signed Metcalf. Beane felt like that was unnecessary. -
A Few Thoughts about the Falcons Game - Community Edition
Dick_Cheney replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I truly think he has reached or nearly reached a psychological limit of recognizing the lack of talent on offense, and to some extent the team all together. It's like having a group project and everyone else is a knuckle dragging mouth breather, and you have to decide whether or not you are going to step up and try to get everything done yourself, or you're gonna let everyone else bring you down. And sometimes, the project is just too complex and too involved to be able to do all on your own, no matter how good you are. I don't think it's reasonable at all to expect Josh to be playing his best football or even maybe close to his best football when there is just such a heavy weight of futility around everything. Something has to change and it has to change fast. -
You can probably get a decent deal in this economy.

LB Shaq Thompson..........what could have been......
Dick_Cheney replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hate to say it, but it gave me vibes of the pre-Josh years. -
I see where you're coming from and don't entirely disagree, but I do think the whole brand new stadium thing does indeed create at least some pressure. Imagine how much air would get sucked out of the room if we get knocked out in the wildcard round or maybe don't even make the playoffs. That is not the kind of momentum you want bringing you into a new stadium and everything it entails.
