If this is accurate, he needs botox injections ASAP, or some other comparable treatment. It’s stuff like this with this team that sometimes it just does not feel like everyone is willing to put it all on the line to win. Yeah, his position maybe kinda needs to be able to plant and break, ya think? This all sounds kind of ridiculous but like, based on the comments it sounds truly over the top. Might as well be wearing shoes without traction or whatever. Damn, something about this really annoys me lol I need to take a walk. Let me put on some fresh socks first….

Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about this, in several ways. I mostly wonder what him being on the team would do to Josh, even on a subconscious level. Even if he isn't consciously thinking it in the moment, the psyche and the body will both remember the critical Gabe Davis drops.

McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"

Good lord I wish they would trade for somebody instead of scraping the literal bottom of the barrel and hoping that it ends up being good enough. -
If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...

We could always give them a player who would have a negative impact! -

Personally I'm not even sure if I'm in the "he's a solid backup player" like so many people seem to be saying. Can he play the position if a starter gets hurt? Uh, technically I guess? Will I have any faith whatsoever in his performance in place of whoever the starter was? Absolutely not. -

Usually I’m strongly against AI but I fully support using it this year when deciding when to throw the challenge flag instead of letting McD do it. -
Yeah, but then imagine what that group would have done with a true number 1. It'd be stupid how good the offense would be. It kinda irks me that the front office hasn't done something to put us over the top, but I am hoping that they do indeed do something in that regard before the trade deadline this year, be it a WR or defense.

I think we could offer what they are hoping to get, but I don't think they would do it for us. Pretty sure they'd be willing to take just slightly less to get him out of the conference if they do indeed truly have to let him go. -
2nd Window for Superbowl Taking Shape
Dick_Cheney replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
There’s a part of me that worries that is indeed how it ends up playing out. I have the same thought about our WR group to a lesser extent, and at least Allen compensates for that. Not so much for the D. So the fear is that it works and is semi impressive until one game, deep in the playoffs, it isn’t. I hope of course this year is different and the team and our GM are willing to do try everything they can instead of relying on hope and vibes. Hope is for the fans. Results are for the professionals. -
2nd Window for Superbowl Taking Shape
Dick_Cheney replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
I kind of agree with this to an extent, but time will tell. If we get to the midway point of the season and the defense is leaving anything to be desired, I’d like to see us swing for the fences with some kind of a high profile trade. Whether it’s for an edge, or some part of the secondary, I’m not sure. We still have too many instances of barely squeaking by and certain players in certain positions being just serviceable until they suddenly aren’t. We have a solid D but I don’t think they are particularly threatening or genuinely have a killer instinct. Perhaps they will show this come the start of the season. It’s why I’m okay with us giving up first round picks and then some to grab a player like Parsons. I don’t want this team to hopefully maybe just be good enough. I want them to be intimidating and destructive. And I don’t want them, and us, to look back at the end of another potentially disappointing season wondering “What if?” -
Hopefully we’ll get to see them cut Hamlin.

Exclusively for the Week 18 game took away basically all my excitement. It's cool it's happening at all, but damn, that sucks. -

I think we trade for one at some point this season.

Holy ***** we are going to win the Super Bowl.

God I'm so glad we travel so little this year. Considering the not so luxurious way the team travels, I honestly think this will be a huge difference for away games.
