I think getting Hopkins or Diggs would've made his decision a bit tougher, but I don't necessarily think it would've got him to stay there.

Rams got Sam Darnold? Can we get Rosen too and eliminate that draft class from the AFC east?

We are not paying $10million a year for a RB .
He's rumored to be getting offers less than 5, so no worries

If he causes trouble, you cut him. He’s got no guaranteed money from the Bills at present. Like how they wanted to do with Brown, but he refused.
Cut a guy we traded a first rounder for?
Yikes!

One year guaranteed so he can test market again would seem like a good deal

The Bills have just gave up a boatload of draft picks for a WR. I admit he is an upgrade for what we currently have, however when a GM named Doug Whaley traded picks for Sammy Watkins, he never lived down that decision. Do you remember why Whaley made the trade? it was to bolster and support a young QB named EJ Manual. This trade was done for the current young QB Josh Allen. I hope this works out, if not, it will be a disaster. If it doesn't work, will the fans criticize Beane like they did Whaley?
Are we still clinging to this farce that we gave up a "boatload" for Diggs?
That's the first falsehood. The rest is even more nonsense

This has been discussed, it's more like the 18th pick. Show anyone who has ever dropped from 8 to 22 by just gaining a 4th, 5th, and 6th. It's never happened.
True story.
Whoever said that value would work is a moron

Anyone got anything on Reader?
We really need to land this guy

Belicheck has always been the mastermind there.
They could absolutely be better this season if he finds the right QB.
-
We only really give up a late first rounder for the major piece that we've been searching for which in turn will make Allen, Smoke, Beasley, Knox, and Singletary better.
They couldn't have done any better, and there will likely be nobody at pick 22 that will be a dominant player...certainly not the caliber of Diggs.
Making the move to contend now is also a factor and I love it. It's definitely time, and it all fits together perfectly.

Oh...and you gotta pony up if you want a top playmaker in the game, unless you are dealing with a fool like Bill O Brien.
It takes draft capital to land a stud like Diggs, and we had it to use for our biggest need, and to help Josh and let Smoke thrive in a role opposite of Diggs.
The offense should now function incredibly well

I don't know. I dont think he fits Josh's skill set. Diggs is just a better version of John Brown. I would of liked a bigger guy that can go over middle. Diggs is a good deep threat but Josh isn't the best deep ball thrower. Hopefully I'm wrong.
You are wrong.
Diggs makes tough contested catches all over the field and has some incredible moves after the catch.
He is also very good at plucking the ball out of the air.
It's a very good fit

I should be and want to be excited. I think next year's 4th dampened my excitement. Glad to have him opposite Brown. Couple things: heard on ESPN considering what we gave up, Diggs has the upper hand in asking for more money. With the length of is contract, that was signed recently, that shouldn't be a problem. Shouldn't be. Fingers crossed.
More important, I don't ever want to hear Josh apologize for not getting him the ball enough like Cousins did. This is Josh's team and some of his linemates better have his back and straighten Diggs out. If this happens.
Ok what's next, Beane?
A 4th rounder next year dampened your excitement?
Incredible

Does everyone still love deal if we have to re-do his contract?
I'm fine with it up to a point.
With four years left, he doesn't have a ton of leverage.

I'll re-do his deal, but being he's got four years left, he's gonna take less than what he would get based on his production.
Add another year, some more guaranteed money, and incentive based numbers to pump it up to look like he's got a top deal.

What an awful overpay. Diggs isn’t a number 1 he’s basically Cooks he’s a good number 2. What an absolute joke of an overpay. No way would I trade a number 1 for him. Geez!!!

Clowney is as good as it gets from a DE.
Ngakoue wants the same money, you have to give up draft picks, and isn't as good.
If you don't want Clowney, you don't want Ngakoue either

This one stings.
Exactly what we needed

The people here in Philthadelphia aren't all that keen on him.
Yes.
I'm in that area, and he was good until he hurt his shoulder, but then missed way more time than expected.
I'm ok with him at a modest price, but not alot of guarantees or years

After this contract, I've changed my tune on Dak.
Pay him what he wants because he deserves a whole lot more than this guy
Bills sign DT Vernon Butler. 2 years up to 18M total and 9.3M GTD

I understand where this post is coming from, and I also have some reservations about this signing.
I also see the possible positives. I think they are gonna show them what they did with Phillip's and tell him they can get the best out of him as well. He has the tools, and they had a chance to evaluate him his rookie season, so they must like him as a fit for what they wanna do.
Now I also see another Carolina defensive linemen getting paid more than what he appears to have shown he deserves, and he was a bust in Carolina...that is a concern.
I am choosing to believe in McDermott, Beane, and our Dline coach that they will get him to play to his potential, but it could definitely be another Star situation where he doesn't live up to his contract.
