  1. Defensive head coach who consistently allows 8+ yards per play in the playoffs with his horrific "bend but don't break" scheme that only works against average to horrible QBs. Allen has never been the problem in the playoffs. I'd argue that he's never been the problem with the Bills ever. He's the whole reason this coaching staff still has a job.
  2. Strength of opponent is very conveniently being ignored here.
  3. He has the makings of a star slot receiver. We still need a 1A/B to push Diggs down to 1/B or 2.
  4. Ed Oliver + Daquan Jones (when healthy) had absurd stats at the beginning of the season. Ed Oliver just had an undisputable excellent season (after signing a big contract, so that's even better).
  5. As someone who has had to support very high level executives before... There is no way Terry is checking his own E-Mails.
  6. Washington has been failing up the entire time he's been here with the Bills as far as I'm concerned. I know he's well respected in the league but is this the production you expect from your D-Line with so much investment in it?
  7. Guy who had a better than average season wants to be paid better than average. More news at 11. What a non-story.
  8. That's all I can think when I hear someone saying any team should go "defensive heavy in the draft". Defenses in the NFL are at an inherent disadvantage with the way the modern NFL is structured. The game skews heavily towards the offense. You know what an amazing defense gets you? The Steelers. A wildcard entry to the playoffs and an early exit. The best way to win in the NFL is through relentless scoring via chunk plays and strikes. It's demoralizing and has a serious psychological effect on the other team, which I think is understated.
  9. R1 WR if there are any of the consensus R1 guys left on the board. R3 WR. R6 WR.
  10. Beane and McD are completely tied together. Beane, when drafting offense, has been much better than drafting defense. We should be moving into an aggressively offensive draft but I'm concerned McD is in his ear about pass rush and safeties.
  11. This may be Beane's best draft since Allen.
  12. I think this is why we saw so many screens and short yardage play designs. Dorsey's downfield stuff hardly made sense.
  13. Very much waiting for the "Stefon Diggs has had off season surgery" post. The dude was getting mangled by DBs all season with no repercussions from referees. It was honestly kind of crazy.
  14. Mike McCarthy would like a word.
  15. Sir, this is a Wendy's...
  16. The defense has barely showed up when it matters, why is it surprising that Poyer and Hyde won't have a ring? They let the chiefs get almost 10+ yards a play.
  17. The D-Line always disappears in big games. It's one of the reasons why I think Eric Washington really needs to be on the hotseat. He is not getting the most out of these guys when it matters. If you're just looking at stats from the season, they look fine, great even. A lot if it is beating up on bad teams in games that are already in hand though.
  18. I just hope the takeaway they get from this season is that it's not acceptable to surround a top QB in the league with bargin bin WR talent. We need to stop crossing our fingers and hope guys take steps forward, we just did that with Davis and it burned us. Big investment into WR and the offense in general. Let McD coach up his defense, that's why he's here right?
  19. The cap isn't as bad as many are making it out to be. Beane knocked it out of the park this draft, although Dorian Williams had some struggles. A solid offensive draft, a little cap restructuring, and the Bills will be very competitive. Joe Brady will get the chance to implement his system as well. It's the HC holding them back, honestly.
  20. This should be in no way a surprise to anyone paying attention. I've been saying it all season. If you want Allen to "protect the ball" then all you need to do is take Davis out of the lineup. Davis should have never been allowed to run option routes, because he was routinely on the wrong page with Allen. Someone cynical might blame Allen for that, but Davis needed to be doing what Allen wanted, not the other way around.
  21. I want a WR in R1 and R3. R2 can be for whatever defensive hole we think needs plugged, but frankly I don't want to waste more resources on a D-Line that Eric Washington can't coach up in big games anyways.
  22. They had no reason to be. The Bills offense was doing exactly what McDermott has been preaching all season, long sustained drives that mostly ended in points. The defense was letting Mahomes score in 6 plays with an absurd 10-plus yard per play. McDermott's philosophy is ancient and part of the problem.
  23. The only positive takeaway from the season is that our draft was very good and we got some really important contributors out of it. If Shorter can have a Shakir like rise, watch out. Beane is still a top tier GM and it shows. I do feel like this is the ceiling for McDermott. Nothing's going to happen because of the run the Bills went on to win the AFC East. So I've just got to make peace with the fact that our HC is holding the team back. Eric Washington is somebody who should be on a hot seat but can't seem to do anything but fail up. The D-Line was healthy and disappears again, despite an insane level of investment.
  24. THANK YOU. I was yelling this at my TV. My gameday text group was blowing up with "WHAT ARE YOU DOING ALLEN" "HORRIBLE DECISION" etc... I was the only guy to say "Maybe Davis isn't supposed to break off his route like that".
  25. Talk about a self-burn there, haha. If the Bills are trash, what does that make the phins? Sounds like they're getting mentally prepared to be bounced from the playoffs in round 1 again.
