You seem upset that the word is negatively impacting your side politically. How do you prefer the word be used? Do you have another word people can use for when companies like Gillette create commercials about fathers feeling pride when helping their once-daughter, now “son” learning to shave? A word for when Target advertises children’s pride clothing or “tuck-friendly” clothing? For when Bud Light decides to celebrate trans womanhood? Woke seems like a nice catch-all for such nonsense.
