I hate to disadvantage you by using data but it seems necessary here. First let me acknowledge that there was greater voter turnout in 2020 than 2024. People really hated Trump. Using percent of voting-age population, 2024 election had the second highest voter turnout since 1968. Hard to believe the democrats performed so poorly. Also makes you look incredibly dim with the “people weren’t paying attention” bit. No surprise there.
