  1. Besides RB and a pass rusher, what else are you guys in need of? Rousseau has a ton of upside but he's raw. Do your coaches believe in Epenesa developing?
  2. What did you want Tua to do when he was pulled? He showed the ability here and there throughout the season but the blunders were very obvious. I do think he'll improve as they surround him with talent. There are for sure doubts to have but I'm not pessimistic so I'll just have to see first. It will be a new offense so we don't know what they do well. Co-OC's is definitely interesting but wasn't my preference. We'll just have to see. One game, regardless of whats at stake, doesn't personify a team. A "tanking" Miami team beat NE when they were trying to clinch the #1 seed in 2019 then went on to lose to an even worst NE team 9 months later. Any given Sunday.
  3. Minkah a generational talent? He had one good year in Pittsburgh then fell off. Tunsil is a good player as well but a LT doesn't win you games. You also seem to be forgetting that Miami was, still is, rebuilding. Until Tua shows something, whatever they're doing seems to be working so why is it an issue? Describe active in free agency. Everyone is active but there seems to be this notion that Miami splurges on big players annually which isn't true. Breida was traded for, it's not like Miami signed him to multi year contract then let him go. I understand what you're attempting to get at but you have no other proof besides what they've done last year. You'd have more credence if this was a cycle but its only been done once lol. Will Miami be setback because of your feelings about what they do in the offseason or do you have a legit reason as to why they'll do worst than last year?
  4. They're clueless for floating rumors around? Smoke screens are something GM Chris Grier has done since he got the job. That strategy if used correctly can control a draft. What matters is what other teams believe, not writers or fans.
  5. They could have but it leaves a bunch of what ifs. Tunsil had to get paid, Landry was getting traded either way, Minkah wasn't down to "tank", Drake was a free agent, etc. Miami would still be replacing those players, even after trading up for Herbert so your original point has some holes.
  6. Hypothetically, they wouldn't have a chance to draft Herbert if Minkah was retained because they wouldn't get Pittsburgh's 1st.
  7. You're saying this as if Miami lost elite talent lol. There's already players on the team that can fill those roles. *Godchaux was a rotational DT by the end of last year after getting his snaps taken away by Zach Sieler. They also signed Adam Butler from the Pats-- 15 career sacks vs Godchaux's 3. *AVG was more productive than Van Noy in less snaps. That veteran presence will be missed but that's about it. * The beauty of Miami's defense is they don't rely on stars for their DL. As long as you can create pressure (107 career pressures by Butler compared to Godchaux's 48 btw) you can play for Flores. Lawson didn't do it consistently which is why he's gone.
  8. It isn't too far-fetched. Denver would be a prime trade-down partner which would allow Miami to still get Jaylen Waddle for example. I'd take these reports with a grain of salt though. Miami is one of the most secretive teams in the league. Reports are only coming out now since everyone believes Atlanta is taking Pitts instead of a QB.
  9. This what the picks would be for if that were the case...Miami has the ability to keep trading for picks because as you said, their team should be solid. Mahomes wasn't a "cant miss college QB". Wilson, Rodgers, and Lamar weren't either. Josh Allen had tools but no one was betting on him to be as good as he is now. You don't need a top 5 pick to get a good QB.
  10. That's fair. Pitts would be a dream at # 6. Its either him, Sewell, or Chase. Everyone is infatuated with DeVonta Smith but I don't see a special receiver. #18 is confusing because they can go in different directions. I'm thinking its Zaven Collins, trade down, or EDGE.
  11. Gotcha. They're definitely in the market for a RT but I don't think they want to experiment with positions again; they did it last year with 2nd round pick Robert Hunt playing RG/RT. Miami needs differe ce makers.
  12. So where does 2020 1st round pick LT Austin Jackson play? 😆
  13. How do you or I know this? Value changes every year. Just because something happened in the past doesn't mean it'll happen again. Let's see if ATL gets three picks for Fields or Lance lol.
  14. True. I just don't think any team was getting a haul like the Colts did. It would've happened already. The absolute worst experience! He had potential but they just couldn't figure out what to do with him.
  15. Lance before fields wouldn't surpise me as he's a perfect fit for the offense that Shanahan runs. You just never know how the draft will fall. Smith could be there but then again, word is that some GMs view him as the best receiver in the draft.
  16. I just don't think they value Bateman that high when there's similar talent later on. Unless they have a undisclosed injury, none of them are making it to 18.
  17. Ok I get what you're saying now. Thought you were referring to the Eagles. That's just one example of a team moving that many picks. Maybe the value could be different. Miami traded up from 12 to 3 in 2013 for just a 2nd LOL
  18. How when the top 4 QBs are predicted to be gone by 5? Moreso seems like they were targeting a guy and felt like they could get him later in the draft. Chase, Smith, or Pitts is my guess right now.
  19. Parsons that high is unlikely. 1. He has off the field issues. 2. LB isn't a huge need since they traded for Bernardrick McKinney. Most of the top receivers will be gone by 18. Better off waiting until the 2nd unless Chase is the pick at 6.
  20. That was for a QB. That position in the draft to go along with a highly-touted QB is going to cost a lot. The Eagles clearly don't value any of the QBs so your comparison is off.
  21. Miami actually has ro turn these picks into talent. They had three 1st last year and they weren't spectacular-- Tua was so-so, Jackson played up and down, and Iggy was on special teams by the end of the year. Chris Grier has to scout players better. Those picks could have been Justin Herbert, Justin Jefferson, and Antoine Winfield
