  1. You hit the nail on the head - it's mass confusion getting a play to develop. Absolutely painful to watch. And I don't know why they ever put Jackson & Lynch in the backfield at the same time, 'cause you just know they're gonna run into each other. I think the biggest problem is that we don't have an offensive coordinator like... (Leach's WRs run such precise patterns - they just practice them over & over & over again - that the QB always knows where they're gonna be. Go ahead and watch the linked video - especially where QB Graham Harrell takes about 2-3 minutes to explain in detail what took him about 2 seconds to execute on the field!)
  2. Most folks here know I'm 50 (CHS '77 - if you had Fr. Van Dyke for a teacher, he was my classmate), so no problem telling you mine was the Johnny Barnes/Bus Werder era - when we went 5 straight undefeated seasons! "To build a school on Kenmore Avenue, is to build no school at all!" - Rev. James Van Dyke, S.J. GO CRUSADERS BTW - it's not Texas Tech that I'm a fan of, it's... (Beside being an offensive genius, the guy's quirky, entertaining, and brilliant - and his 'aerial circus' is, IMHO, the most entertaining type of football to watch. Plus, the guy seems to work magic with any and every QB that plays for him - something the Bills could sure use right about now!)
  3. Why don't you just go back to inventing more of your own convoluted, retarded, and absolutely invalid statistical formulae in your stupid, futile, and utterly ignorant quest to prove correct your own preposterous, bone-headed claim that Kelly Holcomb was our best QB?
  4. I've been predicting 19-0 every season since I joined this site in 2003, and even before that. One of these years I'll be right and you'll all say, "F!@#$k, The Senator really knows his football!" (But the 'JP-thing' will happen first - probably not next season, but in 2011. )
  5. Gordio, it's like that line from Charlie Wilson's War - "Mr. Wilson always says, 'You can teach 'em to type, but you can't teach 'em to grow breasts!' " I think you & FLbillsfan#1 have both nailed it - JP had no brains, Trent has no balls. JMO, but I think the 'brains' part can be taught - put JP together with a coach like Coughlin (or like, oh, say...Mike Leach) for a year or two, and he can be taught better mechanics, to read defenses more effectively, and to make better decisions. Give him an offensive game plan that makes sense, and a set of WRs like Evans and Owens, and - with his arm - the guy will kill opposing defenses. But how do you teach a guy to have 'heart'? How do you say, "OK, on this next play, you grow a pair of balls!"??? I never liked Edwards, and made no secret of it. Always thought he was a wuss. If you're gonna draft a Stanford QB, it better be the overall #1 pick of the draft - like Plunkett, or Elway. I think JP will come back to the NFL and surprise a lot of folks. Again, JMO.
  6. Probably turn it into a giant RV dealership. I just drove by The Ralph this morning - the old girl's starting to show her age. I usually don't notice it on game days 'cause it's sunny, I'm lit-up, and there's so much going on - but on a gray and rainy day, when it's quiet and deserted, RWS looks a bit 'rough-around-the-edges'. Now if we're sending our tax dollars downstate to build the Yankees a new home, shouldn't NYS show The BuffTown a little love and help us build a new home for New York State's only NFL team... possible site grassroots org
  7. Crabtree will be good, but he benefited from playing with the NCAA's best QB, and for an offensive genius. The Texas Tech guy you really want is... Mike Leach
  8. Well yeah, only he doesn't know how to use it.
  9. I think DiCesare put it pretty well in the morning's Snooze... By the way, I'm miffed by the spreading notion that Jauron is coaching for his job Sunday. You mean to tell me that beating the equally dysfunctional Cleveland Browns would qualify as a form of vindication, or validation? link
  10. Yes, but Jauron will defer possession on the kickoff - keeping the ball out of 'Trenters' hands as long as possible, will defend the leeward end of the field - counting on having the wind at his back in Q4 for that game-winning FG-attempt, and will not allow Trenters to throw until the 4th quarter - when the game is hopelessly out of reach. Cripes, I don't even need to watch the game - I already know how it's gonna go
  11. Interesting comments from Bob DiCesare this morning... Call me nuts, but with Lee Evans and T.O. on the flanks, J.P. Losman would be a better fit on the Bills than Trent Edwards. The Bills might still go down, but at least they'd go down slinging. Right, Lee? But at least the franchise gave Edwards some peace of mind by bringing in a backup quarterback who poses no threat to his starting job. Brilliant, that was. link One thing I've noticed - the 'Trenters' ball-washers are no longer spouting off about his 'winning record' as a starting QB
  12. Just checked the weather report - looks like there's no excuses-in-the-making there... link
  13. That's why (besides the cheating) the cheatriettes* are so successful, despite having one of the league's lowest payrolls - they don't allow a POS like FatBoy Peters to disrupt their locker room and hold the team hostage. belicheat* gets rid of scum like Peters in a hurry.
  14. No, not a picture of him - it was him.
  15. Not directed at you, damj - directed at everyone. But yeah, she's hot - though not nearly as hot as Urban Meyer's daughter... Nikki Meyer
  16. Bye bye Jacksonville; hello City of Industry.
  17. HAPPY FREAKING NATAL ANNIVERSARIES, YUSE TWO!!!!! Cheers
  18. Come on, guys - show some class. Let's leave Jauron's daughter out of all this - despite all the yes-votes she cast on ESPN yesterday.
