The football gods wanted the Bills to be in two Super Bowls by now, possibly winning both.

If McDermott can't win it in the next 2 years, let someone new open the stadium.

This is actually baloney. Diggs was the #1 receiver in the league in receptions and yards in 2020. About 1/3 of those yards were YAC.
He didn't do that because he "offers no dynamic traits". He had an amazing release off the line and his route running was *chef's kiss*. He could juke a CB out of his cleats, his jock, and next weeks' travel money. Dion Dawkins didn't praise him "I had no idea someone could be that good at the sport of football" during an off-season get together because he wasn't dynamic.
I don't know what's gone on with Diggs the last 2 seasons, whether it's injuries or age or the lack of quality depth in the receiving corps, but let's lay off the tale that he hasn't been "decisive and dynamic" since Maryland.
That said...the guy in the slot takes a helluva beating, play after play. It got to Beasley about age 32. I don't think Diggs would hold up in the slot now. Leave it to Shakir and Kincaid.
Hope so
2020 was a completely different story. Diggs was in his peak prime. Totally different conversation in 2024.

Next year's receiving corps:
Rookie 1st-round pick
Diggs
Shakir
Rookie 4th-round pick
Shorter
Hamler

Pretty amazing comment. He says it’s based on film study. The Bills don’t have a number 1 receiver.
Comment starts at 2:13 in. But it’s a good listen. Not sure if this link will work.
It's not an amazing comment. Diggs offers no dynamic traits and is clearly not a #1.

We just need to take work off his plate and give it to quality receivers.
Why would this happen? He's not fast, and Maryland was the last time he was decisive and dynamic with the ball in his hands. Shakir is the future in the slot.

I predicted last year that he will win a Super Bowl as the 49ers' starter in the 2030s.

You are absolutely correct, but a lot of Bills fans need to feel special, so you will get a lot of pushback despite speaking the truth and the evidence being right in front of them.
Did you see Mahomes in the post-game locker room rally? They were galvanized by the so-called disadvantage of playing in front of Bills Mafia, and it only made them perform better. There were no false starts or delays of game, no effect whatsoever from the fans.
It was painfully obvious that it was going to play out this way. I warned anyone who would listen to be careful what they wished for, but most everyone laughed at me. Seeing people talk all week about the Chiefs finally having to play here was so painfully cringe.

And neither should josh. Ita not designed for him. It's designed to get people open quick and get YAC. It's designed for tua or purdy. Not josh. It was modified to work with josh but it's a scheme that relies on athletes winning 1 on 1 all the time or you take check down.
See Tom brady. Early win or check it down. Daboll in college had one of the greatest teams ever so they often won early.
Ruggs
Smith
Ridley
Jeudy
Hurts
Tua
Jacobs
Harris
Robinson
***** me. I could have won natty with that team.
Dorsey tried to keep it and put twists on it. It didn't work. Brady focused on the simple stuff. Kind of worked.
We need brady to implement his own system that produced 2x 1k receivers. 1k rusher.
Dabolls system is actually *****. Relies on qb to run. Wrs to win quick. And rarely schemes people open. When we had bease brown and diggs it worked because someone always won quick. Now we have no one that wins quick so it's a check down offense.
Good riddons. I'm excited to see josh on a system...not see a system that puts josh in it.
Riddons? 😂

No, I really don't think so, but I feel like this franchise needed to beat the Chiefs yesterday regardless.

Question for Terry Pegula to think about: Why are the Bills 3-1 against the Chiefs in the regular season but 0-3 in the postseason? Sitting available right here right now is Jim Harbaugh. You can do it if you want to.

I'm the type who presents the worst possible outcome and acts like it's already fact. I live in assumption of the worst heartbreak so any outcome is less painful.

Little things here and there, them talking about the past 7 years, etc. make me think they know this is their last year.

just saw that Ron Rivera is interested in coaching still and how he missed coaching on a granular level when he took over for Jack Del Rio who was fired mid season. He also stated he has a few opportunities available.
I think this is a bit interesting.Have you been paying no attention? Rivera is TERRIBLE. Not only is his defense bad and nowhere near as creative as McDermott's, but Rivera is also a no-accountability guy. I live in the DC market and it was stunning to see how casual he was about losing.

If Allen and McDermott can't take down a weakened Chiefs team at home, in a "moment we've been waiting for" according to Allen, it's going to be a big "Where do we go from here?" situation for the organization.
The Bills have to win.

(All scenarios based on the Bills beating the Steelers)
If the Dolphins win, they'll go to the Ravens since they will be the lowest seed, and the Bills will get the winner of the Texans/Browns.
If the Chiefs win, they will come to Buffalo and the winner of the Texans/Browns will go to the Ravens.
Right, but you're assuming the Bills beat the Steelers, which today's winners won't be able to assume. Today's winners will NOT know their opponent for next week until after the Bills game, as the OP has been trying to say.
If the Chiefs and Browns win:
Bills win: Chiefs at Bills, Browns at Ravens
Steelers win: Steelers at Ravens, Browns at Chiefs
**
If the Dolphins and Texans win:
Bills win: Dolphins at Ravens, Texans at Bills
Steelers win: Steelers at Ravens, Dolphins at Texans
**
If the Chiefs and Texans win:
Bills win: Chiefs at Bills, Texans at Ravens
Steelers win: Steelers at Ravens, Texans at Chiefs
**
If the Dolphins and Browns win:
Bills win: Dolphins at Ravens, Browns at Bills
Steelers win: Steelers at Ravens, Dolphins at Browns
We are set at WR. Maybe we’ll grab one in Round 6.

How ridiculous. You should just ignore Hollins and Shorter. So right now it's Diggs, Samuel, Shakir. What about the future? And what if someone gets injured? They absolutely need a blue chip rookie added to this room.
