I like the title. Lamar Jackson better than Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady in clutch drives. I would prefer seeing this to tie or take the lead with under 3 minutes. I'm sure Josh does just fine in that as well but if your life depended on six I'm pretty sure everybody on the planet is giving the ball to Mahomes or Brady.

On my chest I would. If he did it we would know for sure. I got a hell of a rack.

No it’s not, as evidenced by that ridiculous opinion.
Anyone holds that opinion and they don’t know nothing about nothing.
Most of what you say makes no sense

Is the rest of the argument not accurate?

If Josh can resurrect Claypool’s career and make him a viable contributor than we might be better than the diminished receiving corps of the last few years.
He is probably the most talented WR on the roster. Which some might say is saying something, but he's probably one of the most talented WR's on several rosters. Sort of surprised we pursued him. Not exactly a process guy. We will see.

Well that’s a glowing review, especially since he “used to be.” 😅I just don't know anymore hopefully he still is 😂

Used to be a solid cover LB.

People that think the sky is falling, so you don't think we will beat out the Dolphins and Jets in the East?
-
We will win the East at which point we will be in the same position we have been the last several years when we were supposed to be more competitive.

As for what I envision..........I envision Allen(and his agent, family etc..) having to be dissuaded from seeking greener pastures if they don't get past Mahomes and to a SB this year or the next at the latest.
If he decides he wants to go to a place with an offensive minded HC who actually gets to Super Bowls INSTEAD of staying with McDermott and getting speedboat out of the playoffs every year, Pegula will have to oblige. Just like Detroit had to with Stafford. But you can be sure that the Bills organization will try to give Allen the same situation in Buffalo first. They'd be dumb not to. Elite QB's are a lot harder to find than solid HC's.
Stafford was on one of the worst teams in football. We have won 4 straight AFC East titles.
For your view to be plausible:
- Josh would have to think McDermott has enough fault that it should cost him his job.
- Then Josh would have to throw a coup when he doesn't fully understand where the loyalties of his peers reside.
- Along with the hope being somehow those people will say, "yes, it needed to be that way for the greater good" vs "I don't trust QB1 anymore".
- If Josh would go to this level he would have to hate McDermott so much he won't play here if he is here.
I will say absolutely zero chance exists that Joshua David Allen would act on the scenario you're proposing. If it could be less than zero if that was possible. I actually would rather we move on from McD but it won't happen this way. Which is a reason why most in the replace him camp are even more dejected as we see no end with McD. We could miss the playoffs next year and he will still be around.

They aren't close. It's a professional relationship. Two very different types of people.
Now Daboll and Josh Allen? They were close.
It's not a matter of Allen having to go behind anyone's back.
If he refuses to sign an extension next offseason, Pegula will have to do what he has to do to keep Josh Allen on board.
I didn't think it was the sequel to Brokeback Mountain. So you envision Allen holding Pegula hostage to get rid of HC otherwise he won't sign again?

Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam. Nothing is really close to them.

What do people think the regimes goal is for 2024? Bills are rebuilding. They are going to play as many young players as starters and first off the bench as possible in order to determine who if any can contribute in 2025.

Probably a tie-in to the fox news crowd? I dunno. Terry's old annoying and i can't even understand him half the time, and Jimmy is just old and out of it (he's 80).
We need more younger guys that like to yell and be controversial

You really think Josh Allen views McDermott like his dad?
The relationship is a lot closer to that than somebody he's going to go behind to get out

You have a QB that's a Maserati. He's built for bombs away. But instead of building your offense for that, you build it for plodding, 10 yards at a time max, 10 minute drive offense. So I ask, what is the point?
What's the point of having a guy who's designed by nature to bomb the football deep and whose weakness is dink and dunk stuck in an offensive scheme that is built to do just that?
Why not offload him for someone who's better suited for that kind of thing if you refuse to play to his strengths? That's what I can't wrap my head around. It makes no sense.
Maserati's have a higher risk of a fatal injury. They want a car that can get to a very high top speed if required but is usually on cruise.

I think we attribute things to Josh Allen that we want him to be..........but should probably know better than to presume. We've already had to back off the idea that he was going to work tirelessly like Tom Brady to be the best..........or that he wouldn't let his personal life affect his play on the field in a playoff game etc..
I don't think Josh is a highly assertive cut throat communicator. He is more of a roll with the punches type. I think he is likely somebody who will keep to himself unless the situation becomes intolerable. It's actually hilarious to me that people would think Allen would throw McD under the bus or ask Terry to move on. That's just not who he is and it has nothing to do with me thinking he is some sort of noble person. Maybe he is but he's mostly non confrontational off the field. It would be like him asking to fire his dad. That is the last person Allen is stepping up and creating conflict with.

What’s funny is the expectations we place on McDermott and Beane are because of what they’ve built.
Some fans don’t realize that. It’s Super Bowl or bust because of McDermott and Beane. They didn’t get here when things were great and just continued it.
They definitely deserve a reload season.
You think any of us can ask for for money or benefits based on previous accomplishments?
3 minutes ago, BADOLBILZ said:Their employment with the Bills is totally Josh Allen's call at this point.
Even that's an issue. It's not like Josh is the type to throw his HC under the bus.

Given we have never won a game from more than 4 points behind in the playoffs, I was curious how we performed against teams with winning records in the regular season.
Condition 1 : Buffalo has the ball with a drive concluding under 2 minutes
Condition 2: The team they faced finished with a winning regular season record
Condition 3: Excluded the Eagles (2023) and Chiefs (13 seconds) Multiple lead changes late. We lost these games but we took the lead on late drives. Little the offense could do.
After you remove the Eagles and Chiefs game, all 18 of the remaining games concluded based on the final score. So if we did score, we won. If we didn't score we lost. No situations left in which we scored and then lost later (outside of the 3 OT games)
What is left.....
-18 times this situation has occurred since Allen joined the Bills. We have gone 7-11 in those games (but 5-3 over the last two years)
-Three times we have tied the game with a FG and lost in OT after having at least one possession
-In two of the games we have scored a TD and not a FG
