The issue is enthusiasm. We've had 2 prior election cycles of Trump. 2016 Trump was selling out arenas on a daily basis. 2020 COVID Trump was not as much but still selling out. Now in a battle ground state his campaign felt it couldn’t fill a 7000 person arena and opted for the smaller one. Trumps campaign strategy shifted a lot so far this campaign compared to rest. Is it lack on enthusiasm? Is this just a new strategy since the old strategy lost last time? Maybe people the enthusiasm is there and people don’t want to show up with all those weird people? As you pointed out Dems don’t need to sell out arenas for rallies to win. That didn’t even used to be a thing until Trump. It’s not their out reach strategy.
