  1. Wake up and smell the root cause of America’s social unrest. It’s been there your entire life, in fact it has been there for the duration of our countries existence.  Step outside of the bubble you live in and have a look around...

Our current president is and has been stoking the flames since before he got to the White House, Russia itself could not have done a better job of ripping apart the social fabric of our country, but, We, yes you, me and the rest of us Americans can fix this if we just face the facts, and do the right things. It is a matter of having the guts to try.  United we stand, divided we fall. The promise of America will have failed if we do not face the fact that the long held policies of racism and corporate greed need to be addressed, and changed for the benefit of the vast majority of American citizens.

Otherwise we will have been divided and conquered.....

White Americans through action and inaction have brought this to be, As a whole white America has treated non white Americans poorly for hundreds of years, and they are pissed off about it, when was the last time a white guy got shot for jogging in a park??

This probably doesn’t need its own thread BUT things are slow around here... so why not?

I think a Zack Moss “Business Decisions” shirt would be amazing. I’d love to see if some savvy graphic designers could put something together.

For those that don’t know the backstory on this, here is the quote... "I finish all my runs in a fashion so that the next time they do try to make a tackle, it's a business decision," Moss said

    That would be cool,

You are assuming that if I am not for your cause, then I must not have my own worthy cause to pursue. You are not much of a recruiter.

Not at all, one is perceived by how one presents oneself.

All examples of how critical theory is mind poison. Trapping someone into fighting battles of the past, while ignoring the actual enemies of the present. It's a theory meant to divide, create hostility, and tear down structures of "oppression" which are symbols, rather than addressing the actual problems facing our society going forward.

And social injustice is not a problem going forward? Rampant corporate greed is not a problem? The richest of our society not paying their share of the tax burden which burdens the working class all the more, these are all social injustices that need to be addressed. You use lots of words and say nothing at the same time, it’s an art form, I understand that.

...and what have you personally done about?

Been in protests, leaned to see how the history of our country is rife with injustice that are still happening in our  justice system, how about you, or do you just sit back and not care?

I am, but I fail to see how I'm responsible for the actions of some slaveholders in the 1860s, Jim Crow law-writers in the post-civil-war era, or some murderous thug of a cop today.

*I* didn't do any of that. Now maybe YOU have oppressed a black person somehow, but I haven't. My conscience is clean on that matter.

Sadly you are evidently unable to see it...

FYI: It is NOT true. The overwhelming majority of interactions between white and black Americans are not abusive in any way. Trying to spew this utterly false racist narrative is beyond tired in 2020. Unless of course you personally need help in this area...and if so I’d suggest buying a good mirror.

So your okay with how your society has acted and is still acting? Me thinks more than one mirror is in order...

So you are not part of society then?

Translation: I feel white guilt. Therefore every white person must also feel white guilt and not only that, should PAY for said white guilt.

Its about facing the reality of our actions, are you good with never addressing the wrongs done and that are continuing to be done?

Broad brush - "White America brewed this problem, and has never come to grips with it because acknowledging it shows us to be who we really are. "

All of which is true, the world is all shades of grey, those same people, (my relatives), who fought to end slavery also perpetuated through action or inaction abusive behavior towards Black Americans that continues to this very minute. Like it or not it is true.

So your solution is robbing from the people who supposedly benefit from this inequity and handing it out to its supposed victims?

Brilliant. I can tell you MOST white people, a VAST majority reap NO economic benefit from a history of slavery. What about those people, huh?

Good to see you acknowledge the point.

Ed should have his lawyer show this video before the punishment is decided, and point out that purposefully injuring an opponent after the play is dead and said player is out of bounds is a one game penalty by league standards, just a thought.

The biggest assault is the theft of wealth from the overt slavery era onwards to this very day. White America brewed this problem, and has never come to grips with it because acknowledging it shows us to be who we really are. Its in the history books, it’s in the financial record of our country, it can not be denied except by a willfully ignorant person, who knowingly or not is perpetuating racism.

Much bigger problems out there. It doesn’t happen all that often , and it mostly happens to white people. Don’t remember any violent protests or media campaigns about those.

Maybe the long and continued  history of white Americans abusive behavior towards Black Americans has something to do with it...,when was the last time a white man was shot for jogging in a park, and the authorities did nothing about it until they were in effect shamed into action. Racism is still alive on a violent level, and is currently flourishing in America, our country has taken a huge step backwards since don don made it to the White House, he too has a long history of abusive behavior towards Black Americans, both he and his father. Like it or not these things are happening and CK was absolutely right in taking a knee during the national anthem to make the point.

They aren’t allowed to be so I’d say none. These guys have mostly been in the system and are pros. They know how to work on their own. That’s the expectation these days. It used to be you come to training camp to get in shape to play. Now you come to training camp ready to play.

I wouldn’t be so confident in that. If that ever comes out you are violating the CBA. Teams don’t do that. The players have the playbooks and know the expectation. They don’t need a coaching staff to run routes.

I understand the CBA limits, I still would not be surprised if something like a a modification to the playbook, Emailed to their I pads without incriminating verbiage etc etc...

It’s a friggin’ mess in Atlanta. The murderer has been charged with murder. The other three cops need to be charged with something as well, IMO. That does not entitle anyone to loot Kroger for food or steal a big new TV. ALL the criminals need to face the music!

Sorry if that’s too “real”, I’ll gladly delete.

    .

The other three cops helped murder an unarmed American citizen and should be charged as such, we as a society need to hold the perpetrators of crimes responsible regardless if they happen to be the police or not, police killing unarmed citizens has to stop or our country is no better than any other tin horn dictatorship that murders their citizens. Enough already America!

Is the question, “who is the better player today?” The answer is unequivocally Dak. Josh’s story hasn’t been written yet and I’m on record as believing that he will be a star. I wouldn’t make that trade but anyone that thinks, on May 30, 2020 that Josh Allen is a better QB than Dak Prescott is INSANE.

Please, please, please people don’t point to the one time that you watched Dak last year either. You need to look at the entire sample size.

Much truth here, but it looks more and more like Dak has plateaued/peaked, with all the talent on that team he hasn’t been able to bring home the bacon ? jmo at this time. I reserve the right to be wrong in the future ?
