My office is open. In downtown Rochester, things are mostly back to normal, except everyone is wearing a mask.

I still cant help but be taken aback every time I read a comment like this, in New York of all places, where the pandemic is all but over.

“ all but over”? Not yet it isn’t,  let’s not get out to far over our skis on this. Like George Herbert Walker Bush said, be prudent!

Agreed.  Can’t believe we are still talking about Clowney for two full off seasons because some unsubstantiated twitter rumors 18 months ago.

If he was coming to Buffalo, he would already be here and we wouldn’t have signed two good DE’s and drafted a stud prospect.

People need to move on.  Clowney ain’t coming to Buffalo this year and Tupac ain’t making a resurrection.

    Don’t you mean Onepac...

  3. League wide: TB confidence is shattered after a massive hit that concusses him, he becomes Trent Edwards MKII. No playoffs, Retirement at the end of the season.

Big Ben’s injuries haunt him, he is a shell of his former self, rides his team to a 8-8 record, no postseason.

Bold on the Bills: 12-4 on the season, win the AFCE out right, beat KC for the AFC title, and dominate the super bowl, both Brown and Diggs go over 1000 yards each, with 6 & 9 TDs respectively. Josh goes for 4500 yards passing, with a 65% completion percentage.

    Go Bills!!!

You just admitted she doesn't do anything with regard to football decisions. So beyond the rallying cry of "She owns the team!" and "sexism" feel free to point out her accomplishments after 4 years at the helm combined between 2 franchises -- but I won't hold any grudges if you don't want to do all that typing.

Your just being a knucklehead now.

It has absolutely nothing to do with sexism and everything to do with having experience. I would be saying the same thing if her husband was in the position. Just because you are rich enough to buy a Ferrari doesn't make it a smart idea to rebuild the engine yourself. You hire qualified, capable people with experience for that.

The Pegulas have owned the Sabres longer than the Bills and the team has been a trainwreck under their stewardship -- now going on year 6 of wasting the talents of a superstar player. Kim has turned their front office into a laughing-stock revolving door of hires and fires making it almost impossible to attract any outside, experienced executive talent that wants to work under her (hence the latest internal hire at GM).

Of course, this was already pointed out earlier in the thread and dismissed with a "So??" which leads me to believe you don't want to hear about her failures, and in absence of any real accomplishments will fall back on this "sexist" nonsense.

She owns the team, she gets to do what ever the hell she wants to do with the team. And she is doing a fine job with the Bills, in fact better than most of the men who have filled the job. It is a disingenuous argument.

  6. Its make or break in the sense that he needs to improve on all the usual parameters that a QB gets measured by. But being that his performance is dependent on his teammates performances, One needs to be able to discern cause and effect so to speak. Imo if Josh leads the team to the playoffs again he will be the starter next year, if Josh leads the team to a division title and the playoffs, he is golden, add in a Playoff game win and he gets serious attention for a really big contract. Pretty much in that order, jmo...

I think the team's achilles heel at the moment is the inability to really step on the the gas when they're up.  It bit buffalo in a couple of games as the defense wasn't able to hold up.  The playoff loss, the losses to NE and CLE, near losses to cincy/miami.

I don't even really know what it is.  Sometimes playcalling got cute and they'd do dumb stuff, sometimes it was drops/turnovers, and sometimes it was just poor execution.  A sack is a drive killer, a penalty is a drive killer, etc.

The identity needs to be there for this to happen.  I think moss can be a big part of helping close out games.  Get that 7-10 point lead and hammer them with moss and play action.  The goal is to win, and you want to mitigate risk to make that happen, but playing too risk averse can cost you as well.

    This, ^^^

It is all our hopes that sitting on a one to three score lead and in effect for what ever the reasons, having the offense take their foot off the gas has bit the team in the azs hard enough that they stop with this “leave it to the defense to close it out” thought process. The offense really needs a constant attack mentality if we are to get to the promise land. I have a high level of confidence that the team has the talent do what needs to be done, ??Truth he told, I am a bit iffy on Brian bringing it to fruition.

She owns the team only through her husband.

Your repeating yourself so I will as well. It doesn’t matter how she owns the team, she still owns it, and your favorite football team is owned by Kim Pegula, she is everyone’s boss, she okays any and all decisions, she is the Buffalo Bills football fans sugar momma. What she says is law. Every thing SM & BB do has been okayed by her or it doesn’t happen. You should Warm up to it,  but then again you can stew in your distress that a Women runs your team, it’s your choice, ??

    Go Bills!!!

  9. If you follow the player and coach interviews/PCs they are giving info, but at camp they are only doing walk throughs up till now, Pads go on soon, then we will know who is actually doing well and who needs work. Word is our better rookies have done their homework and know their play book roles, so there is that.

That's certainly the opinion of you and many football fans.  But that's worthless to the point.

They support their DC.  Vocally, as grown men. You would certainly not call the next Buffalo News article quoting players thoughts about Leslie Frazier or McD a "puff piece".  You will help others turn the corresponding thread into 10-15 pages of lavish agreement...which is fine.

Its the jets man, no mercy ??

That's an odd criticism to level at a local paper's sports section.  Reporter asked the players what they thought of their (controversial) coach.  He reported what they said.

What were they gonna say? He’s a known Richard Head and pays money for illegal hits? Its a Stockholm syndrome kinda thing, ?

I can see that.  But I'd still put Josh on Beane more than anyone else.

I would think that such an important pick would be agreed on by both the HC & GM. Especially those two.  BB & SM see themselves as the next long term success story in the NFL, ya can’t build towards that goal if  HC & GM are not constantly working with each other, and in agreement the majority of the time.

I also think that Kim & Terry will allow an opportunity for a 2nd go round on a QB if Josh doesn’t pan out. Although I think Josh will get the job done.

    Go Bills!!!
