    He’s 40-24 as a starter.

Not my point, you see, all the yards accumulated “last season” didn’t matter, they didn’t make the post season, which is incumbent on team success not individual stats. Yards alone don’t tell the story, being the Bills made the post season and the boys didn’t as an example. If you don’t make the post season you didn’t have a successful season, being that is the measurement of a good season in the NFL, or was that DJ 9-7 season considered successful?

I truly have no idea how many yards per game any of the QBs throw for and don’t really care tbh

I hear ya, makes me think of this example, Dak putting up big yards and not making the playoffs this past year.  Dak is a good QB as we all know,  all those yards in the end though didn’t get the job done, Its about team success first and foremost imo, personal stats don’t mean as much if your team doesn’t make the post season, which after all is the measuring stick, jmo. Here’s to Josh’s continued growth. ?

The only saving grace may be that if it follows the pattern like in NY, by Sept 8th, these hard hit area may be much better.  But many of the hard hit areas today are doing little to stop it's spread compared to what was done in NY so that may not happen either.  Just read yesterday, they are considering re-opening the bars in Miami area.  Got to keep those alcohol tax dollars flowing in.

I hear ya, the lack of doing things that aid the common good of the country is a bit frightening frankly, lots of willful ignorance thwarting constructive efforts nation wide.

NYS is doing phase 3 and 4 pretty well right now for weeks.  Doesn't suck too much here.  People for the most part have behaved in a way that has led to this current state of low disease positive incidence.

My point is not that, and I am very happy Cuomo and most New Yorkers have done the right things,  the point was that when the Bills play a team from a state like Florida, say the Dolphins,  they stand a higher chance of contracting the virus and bringing it home with them.

I think that teams based where the virus has been allowed to run wild will the teams most negatively impacted, no matter how many Infection Control Officers they employ.

And then they play a team from where the virus isn’t running wild, and spread it to them, so they can take it home with them after the game, and give it to people in their communities...

The word “fiasco” rears its head yet again.

It sucks to be us right now...

It’s absolutely embarrassing that our country are still having these issues when most of the rest of the world is almost getting back to normal.

Players want to play and they will hide things.  This is a huge mess. And it sucks because i did as well with no sports as I ever thought was possible.  But no football might be my breaking point.

Sadly the levels of people’s willful ignorance is so high that America will be fighting this virus for at least another year before it is under some sort of control.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is an all to high a percentage of stupid in our country.

    its sad as hell ...

How do you explain California? They have been having huge spikes in cases too. They have been shut down and masked up for months now.

Actually large numbers of people in California have been ignoring basic protocols/ failing to do the right thing, much like in the other sunbelt/southern states, those people are responsible for the spike, sadly we are seeing a bunch of self indulgent first worlders that can’t be bothered to be bothered... There is a large amount of willful ignorance thwarting what progress could have been made to keep this virus under some semblance of control. So we are reaping what we have sowed, in a manor of speaking. There is an all to high a percentage of stupid in our country...

  9. Not surprising at all, the same is going to happen to NFL teams. If the players and staff do not take this seriously... all it takes is one guy to infect a bunch of teammates and staff. Testing only helps identify/contain the virus, it doesn’t prevent it from spreading.  For some team it will turn into a S show, and they will be fielding third and fourth  string talent.

Fingers crossed ? for the season.

  10. I would think team members would want to know which teammates might be infected, that and I would  hope the CDC keeps track of this sort of thing considering it is a nation wide issue. Also transparency is the only way to keep folk informed and then able to use best practices for their own and others wellbeing.

  11. There is a lot of lumping boards users into one category in a hyperbolic sort of way going on in this thread. What imo some seem to miss is that the team like it or not was shall we say, in a real bad place by the time the wrecks brothers were shown the door, keeping MD or SW wasn’t going to fix what was ailing the team at that time.

The team needed an actual rebuild from the top down, and yes some talent was dumped doing so, and we all understand that. Our new owners came to understand the reality of how you cure the losing cancer that McDermott and Beane showed them.

That is the nature of fixing a pretty Fd up organization that had grown to  accept nearly two  continuous decades of futility. Those that want to dwell in that past are free to do so. Me, I’ve moved on, the team currently is in a better situation than it has been in a long time, and I for one am enjoying that.
