I hope the fact that he wasn’t grabbed by any other team silences the ‘Duke crowd’ here. Great story and great guy, I have no doubt, but those come every year it seems.

Duke fans saw/see him as a steady useful receiver who they felt should have seen more time on the field. Absolutely No one thought he was the second coming of Jerry Rice. The receiver room has changed dramatically over the last two plus seasons, and much better talent has been brought on board, so the picture has changed, as has his role on the team, it’s the nature of one season to the next. Its funny that you don’t see the Bills as a pro team who signed him to their PS... 😁 nuthin but luv TD.

  2. Well, it would certainly be an improvement on last season, and a welcome step in becoming a perennial contender, it would mean our QB took the “next step” we all wanted him to take, and as good as a season as it would be, some, cough cough, here,  will find fault with that level of success, but they would find fault in a SB victory as well... I would take such a season, but would prefer the whole enchilada...

Yep, the Murphy cutting never had any substance to it. And the media and fans even went as far as to suggest that he would STILL get cut after making the initial 53. But all evidence points to the team liking him.

Yup, Fans and media gonna fan and media on some player every season. None the less,  it’s always entertaining to watch which player becomes the seasons point of contention as it were,

  4. This is more of the tired trope of “its Buffalo”, “they haven’t proved anything yet” constructive criticism is certainly acceptable as discussion points, all teams have some issues, Yet this guy comes up with Miami? as a winner? christ...,   Sadly all those years of miserable Bills ownership, front offices, and coaches has not worn off yet... SM & BB have come a long way toward respectability, but the end goal of being a perennial contender will only come with time. I see this as locker room fuel, kick arse fellas and this spew goes away,

Yes but from everything stated, the teams are cutting side deals,, telling the player we're going to cut you, bring you back on Sunday and for your trouble we'll give you an extra $50 k bonus or something. Agree it's not circumventing the rule, but I think it's circumventing the spirit of the rule.

Will not be supervised to hear some March at the NFL owners meeting a new rule is in place that eliminates this process.  Assuming they can figure out a way to prevent it.

If indeed everyone does it, it is then a level playing field as it were, and no need for a change, that and any player effected by this can still have his agent put out feelers for other options, and act on those other options forcing his former team to pony up if they want his services. So it’s a fair play for everyone.
